    Prolific as always I see,

With a monster new machine you'll doubtless be even more so. Great lighting in the first two.

According to them much quicker I like the fact it still has win 7 which I am used to... It's running on the notebook so pretty sure it will. They say unless I use a touch screen I don't really need 8. Good thing is I will still have the notebook to play @ work. Nice feature about Lux you can start a render on one machine and continue it on another. Same with DS I will just be having my content and saved scenes on my 2T external drive. So I can open them and save on both machines.

Yeah, nice going, this current system will do me till it wears out, by which time I'd hopefully be in a financial position where I could afford a killer system.

Blasted Magento, first it doesn't display the pics in the order I attached them (unlike the old site software), then when I try to edit to change the references in the post, I get logged out. After I sign back in, it sends me to my bloody account page (like it does each time this happens) instead of back to the thread. Been, nearly a year now dealing with this bodge of site "update" and the timeout/login bug still hasn't been fixed.

If I had a 5$ voucher for each time this occurred,I'd pretty much have my wishlist cleared.

    Nice renders,

Yeah I know what you mean about the site, the other annoying thing is that hyperlinks don't open in new windows when you post them. It's alright getting all this flashy software, but, knowing what to do with it when you've got it would be nice!

    Cool, and you get paid!

If you're too used to your desktop then you can get Classic Shell to bypass the Win8 Metro screen. I bet you're counting the days as well as the money!

Metro is only good if you have a touch screen, it's next to useless without it.

Ok so you have not have any issues using the shell which I am guessing you picked the win 7 option?

    Umm, no,

I've got Windows 8, Classic Shell is a program which bypasses the Metro screen when Windows boots so you always boot to the desktop.

Does it not also add the star menu back this one right? http://www.classicshell.net/ if you look at the screenshot it gives the option to set it up like win 7

Already downloaded for next week... The other good thing with 2 machines is I can always remain operational if something happens. Create a scene on the notebook if its intense go home open it on the beast. For faster renderings start them on the notebook then go home render them on the beast & so on...

...a little something I threw together for the PC April "Lost Treasures" Challenge.

Started as just a comparison between Sadie and 3DU's new girl Kimberly, ended up at an airshow in Omsk.

Aww, the Sadie/Kim mix is adorable. What hair did you use on her out of interest? I'll have to throw that into the cart when I'm next clearing my wish lists. She's got a cute shy smile as well. It's a really lovely image. I confess I *may* be somewhat biased because anything cute or saccharine sweet gets high marks from me! It's the reason I have to stay away from cat videos on Youtube, lest I lose four hours as casually as one loses a sock.

Recently picked up David 5's pro bundle, so I thought I'd share a render I did using him. The first thing I learned though is that the mens night life outfit is SUPER shiny. I used it out of the box initially, and while it looks great in the preview window, when rendered it looks like a tin foil suit. I toned down the reflection to around 10% (previously it was 100%) and it now looks a LOT better.

I downloaded the triax file though, so it should be the correct materials. It seems weird that David just likes looking like Mirror Man whenever he wants to go clubbing :D

...next to V4, 3DU's "Human" toon characters (both the original and Genesis versions) occupy a major portion of my runtime. Not only do I have Sadie and Kimberly, but Sam, Gramps, Jasmin, Amy, Hiro Toon and AikoToon. Wanted Skye but couldn't afford her and her wardrobe at the time (wish there would have been a bundle like they did with Sadie), but found AIko Toon4 to fill the bill quite nicely.

The Genesis versions are so nice as now I can use clothing from different characters/figures without having to deal with a conversion tool and lots of manual adjustments. I thought there was supposed to be a Sadie clone so that older content and character MATs could be used but when I tried to apply Thorne's SadieFae to the Genesis version, it didn't work.

As to the hair I used for Sadie, that is May Hair, however I fear it may have been "vaulted" for when I wanted to give proper credit, I searched the entire the store (spending the better part of an evening) and couldn't find it anywhere. I next went to the Product Library on my account page and while I could bring up the download links, there was no link to the product page there either.
