Mylochka: making our figures look good since . . . [grin]

Though in retrospect, I wonder if they would have gone to theespense of sculpting Dilithium crystal props. Probably not. More likely, if they knew of props remaing from some other production, they would "borrow" them.

    Sincerely,

    Bill

Wow, great pic! And that is the best Shatner morph for Kirk I think I have seen. Is the morph and hair available somewhere? I would not mind paying for one that good. For some reason Shatner's face is one of the hardest to replicate.

If I'm not missing my guess, it's my Kirk Hair for M4 (available on ShareCG) and Werts' Shatner morph -- which is sadly no longer available.

Lovely work! Please post this to the DA site!

Well, yes , no and okay.

Yes, it's your M4 based Kirk hair, but no, that is not the M4 based Werts sculpted Kirk morph. It's about 2 and a half figure releases old. At one time, XcalPro released a CD with the Trek based models he had available at that time. One paid for the cost of "burning" and shipping. On that disk along with the stuff provided on his site was a "work in progress" for a Kirk morph...meant for the venerable Michael 1 and 2. Since the only uniforms available at that time were his meant for the Poser 4 nude male (aka "the Dork"), I applied the morph to the extra mesh that came with Michael 2, the M2P4 hybrid figure, basically Michael 2 with a body reshaped and rigged to wear the Dork's clothing. Itwasn't easy as the morph was not properly positioned. When I first loaded it, M2P4's head gained Shatner's features, but the head shot to the floor, the neck stretching in freakish non-euclidian fashion. It took me awhile to properly position the morph so it wouldn't turn Kirk into some n-dimensional giraffe. Once I managed, I saved the figure. Recently, I removed your earlier Shatner toupe meant for the Dork and fitted him with your latest sculpt.

Finally, okay, if you think this piece is worthy of the STAU, I'll submit it. (But then I'll ruin my reputation as an exclusive illustrator of M'Ress upon DeviantArt. ;-P )

    Sincerely,

    Bill

I'd like to see some Star Trek alien creatures for DAZ or Poser; How about Tholians, Mugato, and the Gorn.

Check out the original Tholians and some modern conceptualized art for them.

    http://guardiansofthefrontier.enjin.com/forum/post/last/m/3747116/viewthread/3549327-season-6-tholians

Check out classic Mugato and some newer conceptualized art .

    Check out the Gorn.

    ==================================================================================

These would be cool to see apppear on Poser or Daz Studio, I imagine that rigging a Tholian on Poser or Daz Studio would be a nightmare with their multiple legs and arms, shading the thing would be hell too especially if your gonna go for the crystalline look. Shiney, gem stone like or simply a Christmas Star Ornament thingy.

Mugato would work with Genesis and perhaps the new Genesis Gorilla figure from Daz. The hair I imagine could be achieved through Alessandro's new Hair Shader thingy which looks amazing BTW http://www.daz3d.com/forums/discussion/381/P120

Please forgive me if people have added this items somewhere that I may have missed. :D

Redfern -- Oh, wow! I can't believe you got that head to work! You ought to get Tony to release it on XCal. It looks great. I've always found Shatner's face super-difficult to reproduce.

And yes, I'd be proud to have it on STAU...

...Isn't that M'Ress behind that rock...?

    DOWNLOAD HERE: http://www.sharecg.com/v/64115/view/11/Poser/Endor-Braids-for-V3-and-V4

Star Wars instead of Star Trek, but a practical braided updo for all sorts of Science Fiction and Fantasy renders.

Heheh cute... anyway. I recall seeing a Tholian in Lightwave format on Foundation 3D, just checked and it appears to have been removed.

Here are my attempts at the Mugato and Tholian.
The Magatoo was done using the Millennium Gorilla , Daz horns with a freebie long hair pack that used to be available in the freepository.

Is there such a thing as a free conversion program for translating a .mov file into a.avi file? And if there is, where would one find it?

Redfern and Protope, please check your e-mails. Thank you.

Those look friggin cool although the tholian is not quite accurate. I actually have the Lightwave model for the Tholian. If I were to try to attempt to rig it for Daz, I'd have to get permission by the original model maker.

That Mugato will look awesome when Alessandro's Hair Shader/Plugin products hits the store.

Keep up the good work! (:D

Just wondering if anyone would be interested since everyone is primarily v4 and m4 users. I'm doing a serious 'bonehead' thing here and going to change directions in looks of my O'bannon-2 comic and switch everyone over to Genesis and Defiant for Genesis about 19 pages in of a 94 page comic.

Anyone interested in this freebie or will it be a personal thing?. Keep in mind this wont be a runtime set up as genesis is but way different.

    Sorry, thats all mesh.

But fear not, I am working on a solution to that.

ps, the Daedalus is a lightweight mesh.
