I have a set of Voyager props which includes a hand held phaser and a phaser rifle but I cannot identify who did it to see if its still available.

Rduda has a TNG phaser rifle here - http://www.sharecg.com/v/49745/gallery/11/Poser/TNG-Phaser-Rifle

The Nova Class is now available.

um, did have it there ... was having some issues with sizes of files over there. I think they may have solved the problem because last night everything was working fine so if all continues well I can re-up later on this week.

    ............

Okay ... here's the reup ... over at my Mediafire acct for now.

The office is a .cr2 in the figures section, the rest are props.

There is a bridge set at vanishing point, I did not do that one.

If anybody wants to start one of those lifetime projects, I tripped over a whole bunch of deck plans for the NCC-1701-D.
It only has some 42 decks plus a half or something and a captain's yacht ;-)

Firefox doesn't save on the 1st request from this site. ? why but if you hit the little try again arrow in the downloads it usually works then.

    http://www.oocities.org/area51/rampart/5407/ncc_nav.htm

Appears to be an older unattended site.
I don't recommend going to what is purportedly his other url address as it has a red wot warning on it.

The USS Cheyenne is now available over at Trekmeshes.ch

The USS Daedalus was submitted to F3D - Should be available tomorrow

The Challenger Class is not yet available. If it is not available tomorrow, I will look into it.

PDSmith, I collect just about everything Trek for Poser, so I'd be interested.

Speaking of which, I grabbed one of HoboBo's building material textures and used it for texture and bump/displacement on the cuboctahedron.

Can anyone say if this is worth the effort of uploading to anyone? (Minor tweaks left I want to perform, but it's "mostly finished". Like "mostly harmless".)

Edited to add a closeup image as well.

    <---- New Member? I don't think so...</p>

    Clarification,

TOS for Defiant is not intended as a uniform texture for the USS Defiant of the TOS era but intended as a texture set for
    Defiant for Genesis. http://www.daz3d.com/shop/defiant-for-genesis

I wish, and do mean it, if the powers that be would sit down and hammer out Genesis for Poser problems. (import, convert, export and such isn't what I'm refering. Click and load is..) The growing split between Poser users and DAZ users needs to be patched up to provide more useful products to both communities in the future. As it stands the competition is posting products for V4 and M4 and Poser that are incredible. From a business model I get it but from a hobbiest point of view; it's petty and pathetic.

    Not starting a debate..nuff said.

Except adding a suggestion to the "Powers that Be". Ditch 3Dlight or force their hand to make a product than comes close or surpasses Firefly and possibly comes closer to OctaneRender http://render.otoy.com/ Most of us have the graphic cards; lets use them and push them to the max!

PDSmith, except for the longer render times (more quality means more time spent, an old trade-off), maybe this will meet your requirements for a Firefly replacement. I've been interested in this for awhile, but haven't really gotten into it yet.

    http://preta3d.com/technology-preview-reality-3-for-poser/

It will require Poser SR3, but they released that yesterday. SR3 also includes a new plug-in system, so perhaps someone will write a plug-in to facilitate the use of Genesis in Poser.

You'll have to check the list - http://www.daz3d.com/forums/discussion/491/ - There are 80+ Federation ships. The Stargazer is on the list and its a Constellation Class. I dont remember what I have for Miranda Class or Soyuz Class

I am working on 3D text for the ships. The text will have to be place manually to start but you can always save it out as a new prop. Its very light weight and will not hinder performance. I only have the first alphabet done atm which is the Black with red outline. I am currenlty working on the TOS alphabet and I have yet to find a decent non-canon for those who want something else. There should be 4 alphabets in the end but they have to take a back seat to my PA work and any ships I want to finish up.

Speaking of ships, I should have a new non-canon one submitted today which means should be available tomorrow.

Well, Starfleet can change uniforms anytime they want to. And you can certainly swap base meshes out - Proving that McCoy was right about the transporter after all.

In this case it would have to be a seamless transition as I'm 19 pages into a 94 page comic for the O'Bannan sequel and 28 pages into a 93 page comic for the third and final part of the 'Virus' comic.

    So far so good.

I like your idea of releaseing the badges so others may use them.

Two new pages added to the comic blog. Is anyone reading this? I'm seeing a smattering of views but no comments. Would appreciate some feedback...

At one time I looked at making a texture for the Defiant tunic, but it has the same darn shoulder issues as Courageous/Valiant and it drove me nuts.

Well if like me, you wish and dream you could make clothing add ons, I would.

I agree the shoulders suck, but it's best out there and they (Defiant/Courageous/Valiant are most versitile outfits for the Trek community.

Try learning Hexagon. I started last week with the tutorials from Geekatplay.com and learned a lot. Also there are other tutorials available on the new that are just as helpful. GeekAtPlay has about 100+ tutorials on Hex.

You'll probably run into more issues with rigging. Quite the learning curve to that too. For all the work involved those $1.99 outfits are a gift.

Any non-reliant Mirandas and any Constellations?

You'll be happy to know that I have found several Miranda Class ships and a Constellation Class with 6 names. I should be able to do these quite quickly. They are by the same person who did the Nova Class and his models all convert very fast. Only downside I am seeing is the heavy mesh in a few of them.

Until those are done I will be holding off releasing anything thats already been converted.

But just to tease, these are on their way (unless somthing odd happens)

    Challenger Class - Completed
USS Diligent (Non-Canon - Same modeler as the USS Volga) - Completed
Miranda Class w/Two names (neither are the Reliant) - Completed
Miranda Class variant (same style as the Saratoga in the DS9 pilot episode) - Completed
USS Vanguard (Non-Canon) - Almost done
Constellation Class (6 names total including the Stargazer) - To be Converted
Cheyenne Class - To Be Converted.

I should be able to finish these tonight or tomorrow. After I get some work done.
