It looks kind of crowded in there... wink

But the figure of Jaderail came out really great. What a great way to remember him.

Do they show as the correct orientation on the device? If so, it has to do with your exif tags not being read correctly upon upload. You may need to upload to a 3rd party site that allows you to rotate images, then use links in the forum.

  • Finally submitted my beta. I did a vehicle I did not paint it, since the model will be a single color

  • When is the final day that customers who paid for 3DPrint can still get 10% off their first order?

Also do people who get it free also get 10% off offer, and can they join the beta? Talking to a few in another thread and figured I better ask before saying anything

    Thanks

  • Hello Nmargie

Thanks for bringing it up ;)

Today is the last day of our Black Friday and Cyber Monday promotion.

We currently offer 30% off and have stopped the 10% off.

But we will always be taking care of our early adopters and will be offering more promotions.

A straightforward recommendation is to make sure you sign up on our actual website to get the latest promotions and be the first to know what we are doing.

Let me know if you need anything else.

  • Hello

Our miniatures are still in beta, we still haven't finalized them and shipped them out.

THis is why we have them in beta, we are still exploring the best material and the most convient way to send them over to you.

We promise to extend the one time use 50% coupon code that you have for another month.

One question I have here is; would I still have to have an account with you to make use of the download of the STL file? I assume so, which really isn't a big deal to me, but it may not be clear to others.

Picked up the plugin. I really hope to get use out of it one day. Although, it'll be difficult choosing which of my OC models gets to be printed in 3D. :P

  • Hello devilsatdusk15
Show us some of you're models, we can help you pick a few!

I was going to wait until I was in a position to order something non-beta related to get the plug in, knowing full well that this would probably be after the 10% discount was over.

But if you're going to make it free, there's no reason to wait.

Now to wait until Christmas and see how generous the In-laws are feeling this year... :D  (I'd say birthday, which is tomorrow, but they're not usually that generous for birthdays, and I've already pre-spent most of that on a couple of Kickstarters anyway.)

  •

Thanks for the confirmation; it's appreciated.

  • DaWaterRat

Yes the Plugin is now free and a Happy Birthday to you!

  • Now that the plug in is free, I thought I would share a couple of models.  The first is a Genesis 3 Samurai model I created and the second is a custom diaroma that was created using the 7” characters.  Using Gameprint to print Diaroma scenes is an awesome experience.

I've found a model, but I'm wondering, can you only use stuff from the Daz store in 3D printing? I assume you can't use items from sites like Renderosity?

How much it cost to get the downloadable STL file, without ordering the actual 3D print?

  • Hey Artini

Its 5$ to get a downlodable stl.

We rebuild the mesh removing all intersections, boundery edges, and non manifolids, making sure you model is water tight and ready for 3D printing.

Thank you for making it free, and thank you to all for the refund - I was not actually goign to ask for a refund, so that was an unexpected bonus!  I hope that this step was decided on due to the current, and expected volume of sales being more than adequate to cover your operating expenses: coffee and cake all round to your staff! laugh

You'd have to check the particular terms of service for the items you buy at Rendo, the Hive, or elsewhere.

You can find Rendo's EULA here: https://www.renderosity.com/mod/wiki/?policies&license

In point 4 "Prohibited Use", underpoint 4, it says "This License does not grant permission to produce a real, tangible Product or replica of the 3D mesh/model/Product acquired. Please email license@renderosity.com for an Extended License, if such licensing is needed."

If you want to print 3D, you'll need the Extended license, check here: https://www.renderosity.com/mod/wiki/?policies&extended

Do you also get the STL if you buy a print (^_^)

and how dependant are you on the materials sent with the project. I use Octane Render so my daz figure has random textures that don't match the actual render. I don't mind sending in plenty of renders to help though.

My assumption is that you would be OK with renders, but I figured can't hurt to ask. I'm tempted to get my signature succubus printed.

EDIT: 3 hours later, 3 upload attempt later, I have submitted a test project :) If I had more time I would have gone with a collectible bust of my fave succubus. However her hair is rather challenging, even in pixel space. And since my materials are all in octane, the daz presentation is not respresentative of what I expect. So I went with one of my "B" characters that's totally cute and deserving of a single color print. You guys will have to fix some stuff though, i'm tired. ZZZZZzzzZZZZZ

    Straight to the point.

Oh well... That's my plan out of the window.

    Thanks for replying ^^

I need to ask if we can supply the STL file after a print job but my initial guess is yes, however I will need to revert to the team for an accurate answer.

Renders are great because it helps us with the painting job, we use the textures to extract additional details into the geometry for our print jobs but if it does not meet the render quality then we revert to the render as reference.
