My sig image was blindingly white so I took it back to the drawing board. Found out that the old "one upload of each image type" (jpg, png, gif) was still the rule, at least for the sig images. So be sure you are totally happy with your image, because you can only upload 3 different ones. :)

It means that you need to change from png to jpg ect for each change. If you current Avy is PNG your next will need to be JPG or GIF. Not that you can only have three different avatars.

EDIT I just swap from png to jgp and back myself, works fine.

Did you try adding a different png or the same one? I tried a different jpg after the first, and the first could not be replaced with a different image of the same file type. Even when I Removed the first new image, I could not replace it with a different image of the same file type. I'm afraid to mess about with it because I'm currently happy with my images as they are now, but I suspect you can upload one of each type, after which attempts to load a new jpg, png, or gif will result in displaying the stored image of that file type.
This is how it was behaving the last time images were working.
I could be wrong. If not, they need to fix the way the images are stored so that all your previous images get "flushed" from storage each time you upload a new one.
OK I just confused myself and it was so clear to me when I began, :)

Mayim Bialik is apparently not only a talented actress but academically brilliant as well. Read about her at this link:

    http://en.wikipedia.org/wiki/Mayim_Bialik

Sorry to pull up this issue, again, from several pages back... but it's noteworthy, both in terms of acknowledging one of the very few Hollywood denizens who actually know what they're talking about in the areas of science and technology, and also about her being someone who is helping to advance the cause of increasing the presence of women in fields of research and engineering.

Mayim Bialik was also a Keynote Speaker at this year's engineering DESIGN West Conference, and also has a video up in which she discusses aspects of this part of her career, here:

    http://eetevents.com/portal/wts/cemciv2d-97aeevCu6Fwo-DjeUwsBc

Along similar lines, though, my own favorite "Rising-Star" remains to be Jeri Ellsworth. A self-educated engineer who has done everything from designing computer hardware, to refurbishing her very own personal electron-microscope. Her YouTube channel can be found at:

    http://www.youtube.com/user/jeriellsworth

If you were to ask me, the creators of "Big Bang Theory" would be smart to recruit her for their show... if only for the opportunity to make use of her inventive and gizmo-intensive technical expertise.

Do Hydra have one heart? One pair of lungs? I just wonder, because those three separate heads and necks are very active.

Hm.... Never really thought about that before o3o
I know that my hydra designs all three of their throats converge into one opening around the chest area, but I never really gave much thought about the lungs. I assumed they either had one large heart or one medium sized heart paired with a smaller auxiliary heart, but never thought much about the lungs XD

I think they might have just one pair of lungs, but specialized for three active heads. Maybe two pairs of lungs? Or a trio instead of two? XD

Indeed!... three very active heads... but only one hat between them.

No wonder those guys are usually so cranky.

Hmm if you mean "One Brain" by that, the hydras in my world all have a brain per head ^_^
Is a mystery which controls the body (Excuse - it means I don't know xD), but I figured one head navigates, another steers, and the last one is off doing its own thing, and they cycle their responsibilities.

If you mean "Only one prey to share during mealtimes" yeah that'd make anyone cranky xD

    *ouch!*

... but seriously... that's a line of speculation that could easily become complicated... as even some ordinary run-of-the-mill dinosaurs had two brains already... one in their head, and...

    ... er...

    ... one in their "backside".

I think Douglas442 meant "one hat" in the literal sense, so that the heads would be fighting over the hat ("It's my turn to wear the hat!" "No, it's my turn!" "No mine!"), constantly arguing like the 3-headed "Knights who say 'Ni!" from Monty Python's Holy Grail.
