I think Douglas442 meant "one hat" in the literal sense, so that the heads would be fighting over the hat ("It's my turn to wear the hat!" "No, it's my turn!" "No mine!"), constantly arguing like the 3-headed "Knights who say 'Ni!" from Monty Python's Holy Grail.

nooo... that would have been silly!

ah... oh, it's late, and I'm tired.

Ahh yeah I've never watched that before so I would never have caught that xD
But it would be amusing to see a hydra arguing over something like that ^_^

Great one (3?) you’re making Rezca!

Hurr hurr hydras are a grammar nightmare xD
    "We/Us/I/Me" ??
    They or He/she ??

Haha, because as an individual it's singular, but when addressing all three heads it would be plural xD

Must be especially hard for the hydra - when one head is saying something like... "I'm hungry" or whatever, should it say "WE are hungry" or "I am"? Again, I guess if it's talking about the hydra as a whole (And since they only have one stomach they all share, *hungry* would apply to all of them, while *tired* would usually only apply to one head), it would be "We" and not "I".
Gah. English classes must be especially tough for these poor guys ^_^

Hurr hurr, I actually touched on this subject back when I decided to try some writing challenge thing where we were supposed to "interview" or discuss somethign with one of our fictional characters, and I picked one of my hydras:

(As Tiamat's three heads took turns speaking in this "interview" I denoted which head was speaking at the time with a number. (2) is her middle head, (1) is her left, and (3) is her right. Her left head was asleep when I approached her.)

    Tiamat(2): Good morning!
Me: You seem... Unusually cheerful today.
Tiamat(2): I know. Don't know why, but I'm just going to enjoy it while I can.
Me: Well I've been visiting the dragons that live in the town with us and have been talking with them to...
Tiamat(2): I know. Scarlet told us.
Me: Okay then I'll just... Us? You started singular and then ended with a plural form.
    Tiamat(2): Does it matter?
Me: It's just odd. Shouldn't it be "We know, and us"?
Tiamat(3)): Or "We know, and told me."
Me: You just reversed it. It still doesn't make any sense.
Tiamat(2): It makes sense to me.
Me: Yeah I bet. Hydras don't seem to be concerned about that sort of thing then?
    Tiamat(3)): Not really.
Tiamat(2): Humans are the ones who make such a commotion over those matters. It makes no difference to us.
    Me: Okay then moving on...

Haha found this old animation my uncle showed me years ago:
    http://www.youtube.com/watch?v=S1rzNLTjzDA

    "Why my socks disappear"
Guy's putting his clothes in the drier, and thisragon pokes its head out and growls at the guy.
"Yeah whatever, get out. I have to dry these things."
*Growls again and ducks its head back inside"
    "And no eating my socks!"

Life is hateful and a fright
I think I'm going to hurl
Debugging this crap through the night
    I'm stuck with coding Perl
I do not know the language well
    But co-workers know less
So I get to run right through Hell
And try to fix this mess! :ahhh:

The coder, he left long ago
I'd like to kick his butt
Then bury him neck-deep in snow
And off his head I'd cut
Amazing that it worked at all
    Now it breaks every day
It makes me want to take a fall
And then just crawl away! :ahhh:

So here I sit, I'm coding Perl
My head hurts like a stabbing
I run around like demented squirrel
    Loudly grousing and crabbing
For sure this isn't any fun
    And doing this just sucks
    But away I cannot run
Because it pays big bucks! :ahhh:

I sit and smile a knowing grin
At all of those my job is a sin
It's gripe I got to work today
It's gripe I get so little pay
Wait till your working days end

I sit and look at this screen
I sip my coffee with oily sheen
It's crap I got no plans today
It's crap I so need my SSD pay
Wait my email just went ting

I swap over to it in a happy haste
To find the click was just a waste
It's junk most of it only spam
It's sad just how let down I am
Wait I set a filter for that place

I give up and go for a short walk
At those with things to do I balk
It's all the same things I do today
It's just a bit and then comes May
Wait I see a new flower on a stalk

I stand and smile a knowing grin
At all the sun falling on my skin
It's not all that bad to be a retiree
It's not all that great you will see
Wait you will see work is not a sin

at least the wind died down in Washington, D.C. and Baltimore.

The Complaint Thread's filling up with poets,
I now join in although I know it's
    Not complaining, (not exactly)
    It's something done matter-of-factly.

I never know whose Muse will strike,
It could be KK late at night,
    Posting from his favorite pub,
Whilst he chows down on some grub.

Could be our new Mod Jaderail,
Our friend indeed, he does not fail
To take the time to help assist,
    Now he is off dialysis.

    Last, not least, is Woolyloach
Who is our teacher and our Coach.
    In all matters inre: Poetry.
Wooly is the King, you see.

Even I, from time to time
Have been known to "bust a rhyme".
    With so much goodly inspiration,
    I can't resist poetication.

It's cold outside and the wind is blowing
It's kind of chilly but it's not quite snowing
The clouds are dark in the stormy sky
If it rains on me, I'm going to cry
Soon it'll be time to leave my cube
And go catch the bus like every other rube
Bounce down the road packed like a sardine
With unwashed masses and a seat that's not clean
Time will drag on 'til I get to my stop
Then quickly walk to the local sub shop
Barbecue chicken on a whole wheat roll
The joyful delight will tickle my soul
Go to my room, check that it's all clear
Then jump online and drink some beer
Harass some chatters and annoy the lot
They'll ban me from the room right on the spot
I suppose I'll go and rest my head
Crash out face down right on my bed! :ahhh:

Hydra I am working on e3e

Do Hydra have one heart? One pair of lungs? I just wonder, because those three separate heads and necks are very active.

    Dana

Hm.... Never really thought about that before o3o
I know that my hydra designs all three of their throats converge into one opening around the chest area, but I never really gave much thought about the lungs. I assumed they either had one large heart or one medium sized heart paired with a smaller auxiliary heart, but never thought much about the lungs XD

I think they might have just one pair of lungs, but specialized for three active heads. Maybe two pairs of lungs? Or a trio instead of two? XD

I just tend to be overly analytic. That can be a good thing when programming or planning some projects. But it can often be a curse.

    ...looking really nice.

Installed Hexagon yesterday to give it a go and see if it responds better with a full 2 G of memory (it is only a 32 bit app). Still received a few warnings about stability when I tried to push the smoothing. Going to play with it a bit more to see how far I can push it. Heck, I paid 50$ for it several years ago, may as well get some use out of it.

If Daz wants to make Studio more than just a "plop in your content, pose and render" toy (which they are apparently wanting to do considering some of the recent additions in the latest beta release), they need to shore up apps that support it like Bryce and Hexagon (both of which have bridges to it). Bryce seriously needs to join the 64 bit world as does Hexagon (more available memory might cure some of the instability ills).

Nice day ahead, Currently cooling up a big egg white omelet (can have egg whites, just not the yolks) with red & green peppers, onions mushrooms & cheese. Found out those "eggs in a carton" are all whites with no yolks. Add a healthy side of turkey bacon (at my age gotta watch the cholesterol and heck, it really tastes like bacon) and that's brekkie with little guilt.

Wings 3D is good as well :)

    Temporary end of Thread.spam()
...well, I actually have Blender 2.66 but still on the uphill end of learning it. Never could get into Wings as the UI was hard for me to read since it was pretty much grey on grey.. Also they were worse than Daz with all the updates. Seems was spending more time reinstalling it just about every few days because they'd keep releasing a new fixes or updates, than actually learning modelling.

Still want to give Hexagon one more chance before either I submit up a ticket about seriously updating/upgrading the application (including a 64 bit version), or just give up on it for good and keep plugging away on learning Blender.
