Oh, no lighting change. I read no lighting, period. Whoops. My brain skipped right over the word "change". :p

I have trouble lighting characters inside rooms. Is the tutorial helpful for this?

That is an excellent question...but unfortunately no it wont....that is challenge all on its own.

Here is a render ( with post work though ) of Stonemasons Bot in a Box ( No open faces at all )

Hello friends, Laticis tutorial is amazing !! Very simple, easy to understand instructions with illustrations, here's an image I created following the tutorial using basic female/Sabby Amber mats. No postwork. I also learned Uber 2,.

Face has slightly bluish tint, I will correct as I continue to learn lighting,.

Took me approx 30 - 45 min to complete the tutorial. At the moment, I create portrait renders cause my computer system is not powerful enough to render scenes :-S Took my comp 37 minutes to render this image. Uber2 sux the life out of my comp.

I highly recommend tutorial for those that desire to learn portrait rendering. Definetly a solid foundation to work from.

    Happy rendering !

I'm so glad I found this. Funny enough when I finished the tutorial I realized I have a lot of light presets I can already setup like this with minor tweaking. Here is one image I did, rendered in about 4 hours. I left the specular a bit high but that's what I get for not doing a test render first. Other than that I am pleased with how it came out. Did some touch ups in PS6

    Hi Endrance :)

    Thanks for sharing, good work.

The next step will be to develop the bond between surface materials and the lights.

    Cheers Laticis

Haven't tried this tutorial yet...is the render time extremely long..sorel you said yours took 4 hours...is that unusually long or about right for lights?
