Hello Mr. Riversoft,
first of all - thank you for your comprehension.I have to be much more level-headed.
All scripts are working as intended now.
If anyone experiences trouble using Mr.Riversoft´s scripts try the following:
- use DIM to 1.uninstall PostgreSQL CMS for your current DAZ studio version and 2. reinstall it
- I recommend using only one PostgreSQL CMS that matches your DAZ studio version of choice
- uninstall the the script ( for example Look At Me II Pose Control ) with DIM, update metadata and the icon should vanish in studio
- reinstall the script/product with DIM (and CONNECT) and it should work ( exception here for me !!!! : the Clothing Converter G8F to G3F did not work for me with CONNECT....I just used DIM for it. Installing it with CONNECT makes it not readable/accessible for me and the icons show exclamation marks!)
- in certain circumstances: only use DIM (no CONNECT)
thanks again to everyone
I certainly understood your frustration. I am glad you got it working now!
Hi, sorry if this has been mentioned. I've recently switched to using Windows 10 and despite adding it to my 'Favorites' and 'Scripts' custom shortcuts on the menu bar again none of the Look At Me scripts work from there on Windows 10. They work fine in Mac OS. Any ideas? I expected there to be problems occasionally in Mac OS but not in Windows. Thanks
What does the Daz Log say?
Hi, had the same problem (Win10 & DS 4.15)...
Manual download, and then just drop the files in place did it for me :)
RiverSoft Art is having difficulty accessing the Daz Forums since Friday, Jan 8th. Once the issue is resolved, he will answer any questions.
Hi @AbnerK, were you able to fix your issue?
(I apologize to anyone for not responding faster. I had issues accessing the forums since Friday Jan 7th. Thank you for your patience; everything seems resolved as Jan 14th. A special thank you to @Marshian and @Sickleyield for stepping in and helping me.)
Oh, sorry, I don't know what happened there, I didn't see the replies. No, it's still happening.
I didn't even think to look at the log file. Doh!. For some reason the script thinks it's on my Mac and looking for the Hard Drive that's associated with that. I don't know why since I'm sure it was installed from DIM on Windows. I'll see if I can reinstall. Thanks for getting back. It's the best script I have and use it all the time so having the shortcut is a really bonus.
Thanks.
Thanks, sorry, I just didn't get the message for some reaons. Thanks. I'm going to try reinstalling from DIM first, if that doesn't work then I'll try the manual method.
Thanks
Yeah! Thanks, I've fixed it. Reinstalling did nothing. I hit F3 and found the items in Actions>'Custom' I then Right clicked on them and chose 'Edit Custom Action' I got the right path and entered it. All the others were then dead easy to amend since it remembered the path.
Thanks Both for the help. This really is the most useful script I've got and now even better. :) I still don't understand why adding a new shortcut would link to my old drive though. Oh well.
You're welcome! I am glad it is working and that you like it so much!
:)
Like an idiot, I passed this product by when it was rolled out. Based on this thread, I purchased it today and have been playing with it for the past two hours, on and off.
Wow. *slaps self in face for waiting so long*
-- Another delighted customer.
Thank you! I am glad you like it!
Look At Me Pose Control II is not working right with the new Genesis 8.1.The eyelid checkbox in Look At Camera II seems to be backwards. If I uncheck the box the eyelids are moved. If I check the box, the eyelids are not moved. I haven't checked other functionality of the product.
Ok, I will look into it.
Looking at it, it is a miracle the script works . There are no longer properties for eCTRLEyesUpDown, eCTRLEyelidsLowerUpDown, and eCTRLEyelidsUpperUp-Down. The change you are seeing is that the actual eyes are slightly moved in the AdjustEyelids function before trying to find the props (and thankfully gracefully failing). I will need to modify the script (and Eye Clock) to ignore the checkbox for 8.1.
First few seconds after seeing 8.1. Wohoo! 5 seconds later. 'Oh, wait, what's going to stop working?' Yikes. I just sorted out my Look At Me II. Lordy! What fun! :)
Will the regular ol' "Look At Me" be updated, as well?
8.1 seems to be breaking most of my favorite (and useful) scripts!
To be clear, the Look at Me scripts work. I will do an update to Eye Clock and Look at Me II that basically ignore the eyelid checkbox for 8.1 (which you can replicate now by unchecking the box). There are no equivalent controls for eyelids in 8.1, so there is nothing the scripts can do. If you have Eye Clock, the update will fix data/RiverSoft Art/Common/RSEyeFunctions.dse. If you install via DIM or manually, your version of Look At Me will start behaving the same way. Otherwise you can copy the file to where you put your version of Look at Me.
EDIT: I started editing Eye Clock and I realize I have other problems with 8.1. Right now, I don't know what is going to happen with Eye Clock. Genesis 8.1 also does not have the morphs for EyesSideSide and EyesUpDown. Eye Clock is going to be modified to go directly to the controls for each eye and move those, so Eye Clock will work differently than 8.1.
Are you saying, that Look at Me is better than its second version, regarding its work with Genesis 8.1?
That's interesting.
No, they are the same. 8.1 does not have a couple of the properties that Look at Me I or II need to work with the eyelids.
Yes, Look at Me was replaced by Look at Me II
Really? Still have LAM I installed next to LAM II and use LAM I frequently once I just want to move the head. Or is that silly as LAM II would do everything together and faster?
LAM I is still in your library and can be downloaded and installed. However, it is not in the Daz store anymore.
Hi: I am sorry if this was mentioned already. Is there a fix for the script update, which causes it not to work in 4.12? I was using Look at Me II just fine, and then the fix which seems to allow it to work in 4.15 downloaded, and now it doesn't work in my old studio.
I tend to prefer using 4.12 since it works better with my card.
Thanks.

Thanks! That worked perfectly.
Just to confirm, when using Look at me I 1 or II 2 with Genesis 8.1, do we need to disable Adjust Eyelids under option?
I seem to be getting a problem where Genesis 8.1F/Victoria 8.1F always ends up looking jsut below the camera, maybe it's my custom face. I'll do more tests. Anyone experiencing this?
