Why I am greatful for 3doutaw's freebie.
I actually want to put V4's head on G3 or G8 because I like the way expressions look on her much better than any of the Genesises. I can never get the mouth to look the way I want it on any of the Genesises...

Actually Wonderland I think someone has done that already, I am not sure who though. I don't disagree with you with the expressions either. Honestly the real key to make the textures match is having the right uvs to work with. Fortunately in this case I could make the seam less noticable becuase I had grabbed the G2F uv for G8F when it came out. I would have have used G3F but I like the toon/anime textures that could be gotten for G2F better. Also they haven't really done any kimonos for G3 or G8 that aren't just glorified bathrobes.

So I finally finished packaging (and correcting) Aoshi. I've made a new thread where I'll be sharing the presets, as well as information on what products you need (which is also included in the readme). So you can find the links to download him as well as some additional renders here (I don't want to derail this thread).

The render above is Aoshi wearing Kenji 7's skin with eyebrows removed & lip color removed. The one on the left is also wearing eyelashes from Oh My Eyelash for G3M & Lee 7 eyebrows from Oh My Brow for G3M. The one on the right is wearing the eyes and eyebrows from Sakura 8 (parented).

Yeah, I'm thinking Animated_Man (from "Man Character" from Animated Shapes for Genesis 2 Male(s)) is the biggest since he's dialed to 0.34 and it affects both body and head A LOT. I messed up on the link in my previous post. But if you go to my "Free Character Presets" thread or go over the ReadMe file it more or less tells you how much the Gen2 characters (transferred via GenX) are dialed (in case you have them by a different name).
I did make one more character (just need to package him) which I did using ONLY Gen3 content and very little of it. I'm hoping to share some renders later today then package him during the week to share him. He should be more accessible to people, though you'd still need to transfer the anime head for G3F from Tofusan mentioned before (haven't approached him/her yet, sorry guys D:).
I'm still glad he's useful even if he's not exactly like mine, @Divamakeup!
I know! Once I started to package him, I realized that I'd actually used A LOT of dials... once I start, I can't seem to stop haha.

A render of Sakura with a Gen3 original character (Sojiro). There's photoshop & Lightroom postwork.
I'm having a strange "black firefly" problem with the Becket character. The first render I did was full of them, so I canceled it thinking it was a glitch, and tried again, but with same result. Then I tried to let it run for a long time to see if they went away. After an hour and 15000 iterations it had just got worse (top picture).
I then cleared the scene and loaded it again, this time it wasn't as bad but still unacceptable. Have done several experiments, with or without hair, with backdrop and without, with varying results, but can't find any pattern. Some are almost clean, others have many. Iray settings are the same for them all.
Any idea what can be causing this? No problems with other characters. Latest version of DS.
Here's Sakura, using the same Iray and scene settings (just deleted Becket and loaded Sakura).
Are the standard eyeballs in the Sakura collection fixed (don't move with "point at") or am I doing something wrong?
I've seen that 3doutlaw has a package with eyeballs for sale in the store, do I need to get it to move model's eyes?
Edit: okay... for some reason when restarting the program the eyes started to accompany the camera with the point at, but the eyeball does not fit correctly on the face. I'll buy the 3doutlaw package ...

If you apply Beckett, then apply the Sakura MATS back on the figure, does it render OK? If so, then maybe apply the "diffuse texture"
for Becket to the face surface, and see if still OK. (while maintaining all other Sakura settings for the face mat)
If so, then you may need to compare surface settings for the Beckett material and the Sakura material (or any other material for that matter) Things like diffuse map would be expected differences, but look for other non-expected differences.
...or post those settings compared in a screenshot over in the Nuts and Bolts forums. Then Richard or some of the more expert folk can help!
...or report as a possible bug :) I figured if everyone saw this, they would have seen it in QA
I didn't have that issue so wasn't sure how to help. I actually like Becket and plan to make use of her.
