The idea of a biological artifical intelligence (from the future) who goes on secret missions but also dresses up in cosplay as a hobby seems very.... anime indeed. Just think 'grown in a lab, sent back in time at apparent age 12'.

I THINK this is the shy younger Minto who used to hide behind younger Pei, though. I dunno. I guess we'll see if we get adult Minto soon.

Be nice if Rarestone did some male counterparts.  This divide between the males and females is just getting ridiculous!

Okay, I have a really bad problem with Minto. Take a look at the personal description texts:

"Minto is the childhood playmate of Pei. Fate is one unpredictable thing. Even though Minto and Pei then entered different high schools, they got the same Costume Play hobby, which finally put them back together. Who knows that Minto used to be a girl who always trying to hide behind Pei and a little timid when she was young?" is what is written for Minto.

And for Pei it reads "Pei is an artificial intelligence girl from the future. She has the looks and emotions of an Asian girl around 20 years old. During the mission, Pei always wears a combat suit that she was given when she awoke. By dodging the bullets of her enemy, Pei struggled to find the value and significance of being a life created by the mankind."

So... this girl - Minto - went to school with an artificial intelligence, that - as these AIs probably don't age... - looked like a ~20ish asian girl and always wore a combat suit, but now shares her hobby of costume play? That sounds way creepy to me... devil

Apart from that she (Minto) would be an instant buy if I would need a girl of her age for my stuff. She looks fantastic and the stuff that comes with her makes this a real bargain.

That actually sounds very similar to the storyline that @SereneNight has created for her Owen & Boyd

I don't think her age is outright stated, but it does say she attended high school. And it says "attented" in past tense, which could mean she is now in college for all we know. This model could be 15...or 25. Take a look at the entire South Korean Olympic team and tell me any of them look their age. Watch the female curlers, not only do they look young, but they sound young as they yell at each other sweeping their stone down the ice. The Japanese curlers were similarly youthful as well. Its just DNA.

Daz is going to have to put warning labels on Rarestone products...too much sugary cuteness may cause diabetes. So please use these characters responsibly!

Good question on what age range though it seems she can be anywhere from 15 to 20 or so. Japanese females are always hard to tell, at least for my perception.

She's definitely a teen character (not wearing a bikini in promos), but also a teen character who has passed through at least parts of puberty. This could make her 12-13, or 15-17. I'd guess she's intended to be around 13-14.

  • Asians have the incredible quality of looking young. Among my coworkers, I always underestimate their age by about 10-15 years, at least. My coworkers (Chinese, and Taiwanese) love to play the age guessing game.  They ask me, "how old are you?" and they guess before I tell them.. They usually say about 35, which is about right. And then ask me to guess for them.  I guessed 25 and 26.  they were 36 and 38, respectively, one had a kid in high school AND elementary school. I was floored. And another coworker, I swear she looks like she's in high school, but she's graduated college, studied a couple extra years abroad, got married, is teaching, and has a kid. The STYLES of clothing they can wear (and look amazing in!) is totally different from what I (a curvy nearing-her-40's caucasian American) can look good in (without people thinking that i'm  "trying" to look younger than I am).  I have confused grandmothers and their daughters as sisters. It's really amazing.

That aside, I really really adore Rarestone's work!!! I can't stop playing with it! And gotta say that the clothes mix and match well with the previous rarestone outfits like the cat outfit and bunny outfit. So much love <3

lol Too true! My husband is Chinese and looks at least 10 years younger (people guess him at being YOUNGER than I am - and he's TEN YEARS OLDER than I am! lol I'm white, so ..yeah. lol). Hubby also has a few coworkers on his crew that are black and they love to say "black don't crack" because you can't really guess their age lol - they all look much younger than they are. I think it's mainly us white folk that don't "age well". lol Genetics are a funny thing. Curses!! lol I'm fine with it though, I embrace my "old-lady look" even though I'm still pretty young. haha

Minto has an...interesting taste in video games. Senran Kagura, LOL. O.O

Also Fatal Frame, Skull Girls, Danganronpra, Super Time Force, Yakuza 5 and Tetris.

    I'll forgive the dancing game.

    She's a real gamer!

Also, these games can give a clue to Minto's age. Some of these games are rated CERO D in Japan, and you must be 17 to buy them. It is worth pointing out that Japan is more strict about their age rating system than the US. So if Minto bought these games herself, she has to be at least 17 years old. Its possible she has borrowed them...but Senran Kagura is not the kind of game you would ever let your friends know you play, LOL.

Does it? For me it says "they entered different high schools" and not anything about finishing them.

Now THAT's a better clue. And a younger looking 17 old probably is okay for those mammalian protuberances... Kinda like "Look, senpai, they are much too big, don't You think so, too?" (...which makes senpai bleed from his nose)

And her choice of games could be worse, I think. No Illusion games among it, right? wink

I suppose there’s a conflict of trainings of ‘what to notice in whom’ here but seriously, I _promise_ you that plenty of 12 year olds and some 10 year olds have those ‘protuberances’ and at that size. By 14 if they’re going to be that size they probably already are.

One of my big age clues was a simple size comparison between her and what I thought was Minami in the first promo. The games seem like a good set of textures and maybe insight into RareStone herself.

what a weird discussion about her age...ha. girls develop at different ages so whatever. i dont think you can judge a character's age by that.

didn't let this pic render all the way, still tweaking, but gosh darn isn't she cute???

I was an early bloomer. :) I just don’t want people to feel like she can’t possibly be a young teen just because of that. Because she _is_ super adorable and makes a very good child figure.

  • she's cute no matter what age. she looks good with pei's textures too btw :) i can't stop playing... augh

    yes

  • i should normally not buy male stuff... i can barely keep up with female content... but recently DarwinMishaps' amazing Liam along with ChangelingChick's Beard boss, I finally caved and bought male content (GASP) even the base morphs.... so... I wouldn't be averse to a male char from Rarestone, but I think my credit card would hate me. :P

I saw a neighbour the other day; her daughter, at ten, is taller than her mum. Build-wise she is slimmer but not by that much. Would anyone up-close mistake them for mother and daughter? No. But accross the road, yeh it could happen; it is what happens when the woman looks after herself, and keeps herself slim.

A friend of mine, I met 3 years ago. She is Filipino. She looks like in her Late 20's, early 30's, yet she is close to my age. Which is 45. My jaw dropped. surprise

My mom and I were constastly mistaken as sisters when I was growing up, She being full korean and myself half italian, and there was an 18 year difference between us too.

I've lived in japan for a few years and I'll tell ya, they all look like teenages until they are hit their 60s, then overnight they look like a grandma. There is no inbetween, I swear! The only way to tell if they are of a certain age is by the clothes they wear. Singles wear fashionable clothes, Moms wears frumpy mom clothes with a cute apron. Other than that, its pretty hard to tell.

I remember as a junior high student a girl that was nicknamed Dolly Partin so those years are definately called teen years because of onset and usually somewhat quick physical maturation. It's just a matter of a few glands chemical production after all.
