read the first bit of this thread and then went straight to the reply button. I would be extremely interested in being able to import camera tracking data into daz. VERY INTERESTED. This is something I asked about a while back

I know this is an old thread but I have an idea of how to transfer camera data from another 3d application to DAZ studio. This is is what I'm doing and it seems promising but I need to test it out more to be sure that it works.
I'm using C4D R16 to track footage.
1. Once I have my camera set up I add an object.
2. I copy the keyframes from the camera to the object.
3. Export as .fbx
4. Open .fbx in DAZ Sudio.
5. Parent camera to object.
One issue is scaling the project properly in C4D before export. DAZ seems to be very sensitive when it comes to scaling. Fortunately C4D has the ability to easily change scale. I'm going to test some more and also try this with collada. It's really a shame that there is no proper way to do this. It would be great if Carrara could export or save as .DUF, then I could use it as an intermediary.
I will be in need of such a solution soon. Is this still a possibility?
There's a very useful script for porting VooDoo/VooCat camera tracking data and a matchmoved camera into Daz. I bought a license for VooCat last year and tested it out after I got my Ursa Mini.
It works nice, despite me cocking up my shadow plane.
But it would be nice to have a wide variety of options for importing camera solves. From say syntheyes or a planar tracker like Mocha too.
