Wow, Totte, this is great! It reminds me of your newspaper image, where you incorporated many scenes. I've also seen some really good images you've done in some other forum contests (e.g. Capricorn Two, wasn't that yours?). Would you consider putting together a little tutorial on making large scenes with special effects and dramatic lighting and great storytelling? For example, do you render separate layers and combine them in layers, or ...?

Thank you barbult. Yes capricorn two is mine (but that one was "simple" as it's one render only), although lots of stuff. I did a write up for the FirstBastion contest (I did several) but the James Bond one is about layered rendering.
Thanks, Totte, I found it. Here is the link for other people who are interested: http://www.daz3d.com/forums/viewreply/277773/

Title: Strange and Stranger
Strangers were not welcome at the castle (especially when they were as strange as these strangers!) and Aiko knew when it was time to leave, even if Hiro didn't.
Used from Basicwear: sports bra and boy shorts (on Hiro)
Used from Malevolent Extravaganza 1: Castillo del Diablo, Venomous, Malvada, LB Briar Rose
Also Used:
Venomous Man (Genesis): Stolz skin texture, Wildmane hair
Malvada (Genesis): V5 Elite Valerie skin texture, Pure Hair Wild, Night Guard boots
Aiko (Genesis A3 shape): Azumi for Aiko skin texture, Osaka hair, Mall Girl boots
Hiro (Genesis H3 shape): Jesse for Justin skin texture, Pure Hair Messy, boots from Poet Shirt for David
Another roundup:
bohemian3 "Dance of the Fireflies" - that's pretty, nice atmosphere too
Totte "One bad Johnny" - he's definitely guilty, send him down! (His lawyer looks like he's about to leave him to his fate)
And my next pull:
1094 = Sean for David 5
520 = Midway Fun
513 = Joint Flash
1058 = Tweens for Justin and Julie
547 = Revelrie Midway Interiors
ETA: OK, I just looked up "Joint Flash" in my ReadMe's and it turns out to be a texture set for Midway Fun! I can't believe that the Gods of Random really came up with this combination - it looks like a fix but I promise it wasn't! (No prizes for guessing what sort of image I'll be coming up with this time)

I have to do a redraw for "Old Oak Tree" - turns out it doesn't work in Carrara 8.1 (didn't look close enough at the system requirements when I bought it, oh well) and I don't have the time or inclination at this point to try and learn a different program. So I pulled:
705 Fantasy Castle Grounds
I hope that's ok.

That happens sometimes, then as you did, just redraw.

That means you can do ANYTHING with these items. Let your imagination run wild!
OK, I thought I'd give this a try. I've only included DAZ items in my list, and I'll remove items which I have used before. My random selections were:
Apartment 39
The Billiard Table
Songbird ReMix: Pose Pack
CD Player
Quite a cosy selection really - except the Songbird Pose Pack, which perhaps I should have excluded. But seeing it had some animated poses I decided to make one of those the central focus.

.
Hmmm, only 15 pages. It shouldn't take long to make a few comments.
OK, this is a lot. I stopped at 10. I will return when it hits 20. (If anyone wants me to just shut up about their stuff, just say so. I will, really.)
Ken OBanion
#1 I don't know which was funnier the render, or your comments about big butts! LOL
#2 A very funny mix - you are so twisted - in a very good way!
#3 Wow, Ken, that is really goofy. I love it. Wagner is inspiring in so many ways.
#4 I love this one, Ken! Great poses, placing of figures and props, and nice very colors.
#5 Another great looking one. I like your lighting in this one and composition and colors. And it is wonderfully silly, of course. David 3 is a short guy. David 5 is as tall as M5. Kind of strange.
#6 Great job putting those together, and eeww, a creepy mood. But I guess from the title it's supposed to be.
carola.ottosson
#1 That's a beauty. I love the vevet lionesses and it's a wickedly good render! Welcome to the RRRR!
#2 A nice scene. I like the sun and shadow mix.
#3 beautiful! I like it best enlarged where it shows up on a white background. The dome shows up better.
#4 Like your #2, a very serene image. Great job!
#5 Strange mood with the orange light. You use ("empty") space beautifully in this one!
Mini #1 Looks pretty wet. Nice poses.
#6 Very cool Surreal image - I love the flowers growing out of the car.
Totte
#1 LOL. I love this one, with your wonderful Oppa morph. They look frozen in the dance. A lot of beer cans and bottles.
Mini #1 Holy squirrel in a bucket? Hmmm, there is a story here perhaps. I love the rain layers with it running off the roof and the bizzare situation.
Mini#2 "old hairy and ugly monkey"? Very cute. But it is an early (hairy) human male and it seems Lucy appreciates his finer qualities... LOL
Sasje
#1 Oooh, that is really cool looking. Great use of the props and poses.
#2 Definitely creepy. Great job!
#3 This is one of my favorites. I love the toys and the kids and the sunlight. You do this sort of thing so well!
#4 Another awesome one! I love the light and the shamed poses on the kid, and the lioness!
#5 Will the rat escape? Will Aiko get her outfit dirty?
Warmblood
#1 Just brilliant! You use details so well to balance your compositions!
MelanieL
#1 LOL. Nice one. With a bearded guy in a dress you can't go wrong, especially a cross-dresser.
#2 OMG, waht a weird library! Great characters and poses!
bluemoon
#1 Very nice - I love the poses and expressions. Welcome to the RRRR!
#2 Another nice one! Great mood!
Dorseyland
#1 I love it! So silly with great lighting!
Mini-contest #1 So creepy! I love the leaves and debris flying around and the blurred areas - they really add to the mood.
#2 That's wonderful! Some realIy tasty BBQ. I love how you used stuff. You are a genius with freebies - you really make them look good.
bohemian3
#1 Wow, these are both awesome! Mr Grochypants is truly strange and goofy. The second one - great job using the 2D prop in the subway -wonderfully surreal!
KaribousBoutique
#1 Well, you somehow finished it after all that stuff going wrong. I am so glad you did - it is beautiful! I love the background. the rim lighting on his face, her glistening eyes, and lots of other things.
Mini#1 Oy, is right! Beautiful render - I love the almost black shapes with the figures, rain and lightning. And crazy story too.
Zawarkal
#1 Oooh, nice mood! And put together so well. I love the layer of odd creatures on the top!
jgugliuzza

Sisca Another newbie...welcome!
#1 Nice render and very well put together.
SGCBearcub
Yes, it is fun and addictive. Welcome.
#1 After looking closely, which I often don't do, I realized what her pet is.(The head is kind of hidden in shadow) Nice moody render.
hawkonthewing
Wecome to RRRR! Your renders are awesome.

Scissors Lift
Yannis for M4 (Rendo)
Warehouse
thanks Luci45 for the comment. I got dropped from the thread. still just watching, waiting for some time
Thanks Luci *blushes with a happy and warm smile*
Thank you so much, Luci, for the comments!
I know I've been "out-of-pocket" for a while, but I keep getting distracted by all manner of crap. (Fathers Day, for one, various domestic duties, and guess who -- in a moment of extreme WTF-ness -- volunteered to help organize my high school class reunion? Don't ask which one; it's a number that only astrophysicists are really comfortable with!)
I'm still working on my latest pull -- when I can squeeze in a few spare moments -- but one of several "burnishing-my-chops' activities that I've been engaging in is my "content inventory system" to help me keep track of the crap-loads of gigabytes of Poser and DAZ Studio content I have scattered all over my system.
One 'feature' I added this morning might interest Totte! (I haven't populated the database yet, and I still need to slap some pretty on it, but in any case....)
Yes, folks, it's official: I'm out of control!
I thought you had always been out of control Ken *smiles sweetly and gives Ken some cake*
(snipped out all my extra blathering in this quote)
The last couple I did were a bit dark so I thought I'd go back to lighter this time. Also used: Alicia for V4 (Rendo), Forest Daphni for V4, Almirena Dress, Classic Rolled Hair, Gaia for Victoria 4, Otherworldly Wonders - Tanwen. Rendered in Carrara 8.1, no postwork.

Ivy was disappointed that Gwendolyn wasn't thrilled about the prince that she had found for her.
Painting the Warehouse
tag:luci45#10
When Jack Tweedle inherited his father's warehouses he felt that a little color would make them more cheery. Getting the colors just right turned out to be a bit trickier than he had imagined and contractor Dirk Gandy and his paint crew are getting tired of re-painting.

High school reunion planning, really? I was talked into going to mine this year, a big milestone one and the first one for me - I don't remember all those people. Should be interesting...
