The 1.06 Player has features that are not available in the initial LAMH 1.0 version (multifigure, .duf support, animation, HHS etc.).
However the LAMH full version 1.06 update is currently beta-testing and it should be out soon, including the features mentioned above and a lot more.

I'm still getting crashes with player and the Lycaon, I've reduced the hairs and the scene I'm trying is only using 53% of my memory. It seems that it will render as long as I don't add a Uber2 light.
I read somewhere that some installations have some files missing how would I know if that's my problem. I've unistalled and reinstalled it several times now.

You're only having problems with Uber2? Otherwise it is working for you?

The player has a few of the features from the 1.06 full plugin. Like the Marschner Shader for hair, and other nice things. The 1.06 Full is very close to being released and it will have all of the 1.06 player features PLUS a lot of other features that no other hair package has.

It turns out that its not just with Uber 2 lighting tried rendering the scene without it, crashed as soon as it begins rendering. I sent Alexandro logs etc yesterday and he seemed to think it was a resources problem I have 8GB RAM and 64 bit operating system, DS should be able to handle it, the more I try the more frustrating it gets. I will send you the logs etc but to be honest it seems that there is either a problem with the installation which I have no isdea how to correct, or a conflict with some systems.

I just sent a report to DAZ on some crashes I've gotten when trying to save out the gorilla preset as a .obj. I assigned
the gorilla hair preset, tried to render (no hair showed in preview renders), then realized there was a "to .OBJ" button
I had overlooked. It started save, but a progress bar popped up, and DS4.6 closed due to a fatal error. I tried to render
the same type of model, which had the preset already applied and saved as scene. It rendered the model, but again
no hair, and the program crashed too. I know on some level this plug-in is working, because I loaded a simple hair
preset (raw_flattop), which rendered well except for a weird bald spot on the rear left quadrant of the scalp (though
the preset was evenly distributed. The scene crashed due to trying to save with preset applied.

How do I update? Downloaded and installed from Daz yesterday, no installation code. Looking at your manual and seeing nothing like it in studio 4.6?

The player is free, you need no installaion code. Player manual is here: http://www.furrythings.com/LAMHPlayer/LAMH_Player_manual.pdf

Just downloaded and tried this. Works OK with at least some hair, not so well with others. I can render the RawArt Flat Top preset, but trying the female crazy hair or the squirrel fur (I haven't tried others yet) causes the renderer to bomb out with an "Error during rendering" message; then DS won't let me try to render again, claiming the renderer is still in use.

I'm using Daz Studio 4.6.0.18 and the newest LAMH free player. I assume the problem is probably just my computer being too archaic (Win XP, 4 GB RAM), but wanted to check if there were other possibilities before writing it off.

The Flat Top looks nice, though. I might just try all the presets one by one and make a note of the ones I can get away with using. And whether I can get things working now or have to wait until I can buy a new system, I think this is a great plugin, and appreciate your generosity in making the free player.

While your machine is a bit on the anemic side, we test with one with less resources. You haven't provided enough information to really tell what the issue may be. If you wish, you can email me at: krsears (at) trdc.biz and I'll help you to get the most out of your system. I will tell you that the Squirrel preset is probably outside the capabilities of your current setup depending on what else is running in the background.

Hi...I'm currently using the Free Player but have no objections buying the full version. I have the "other" Hair product but don't use it. Not for any reason than I haven't tried to figure it out. I use the LAMH Free Player due to buying the Sasquatch character which I absolutely love.

My question is if I upgrade to the full version would it solve some problems. The main one is the hair gets separated from the figure once I pose it, not all the time but sometimes. And then there are crashes. That's annoying. And it may not have anything to do with the product itself. I don't know.

It's just an issue with me. I am using the 1.06.1 Free player.

I have no objections buying anything. Lord knows I've spent a lot of money on 3d stuff. LOL.

Unless it's really easy learning, the product will be down on my list a ways behind other things. And that's not a bad thing. It's just a time issue.

    suggestions?

Hi, sorry for answering only now.
It's odd indeed that you get so many crashes on the player, we tested with multiple figures (meaning also more than one furred figure in the same scene) and were quite happy with the way it behaved in terms of stability and performance.
If it's not too much trouble, you may want to send the log files to me or Kendall so that we can analyze what's going on.

Regarding the current LAMH 1.0 version, it is actually a bit behind, in terms of features and compatibilty, if compared the free player (which has been released and revised much later).

However, we are going to make an important announcement the 1st of August, pertaining the LAMH full version which, as many know, is currently being updated.
So my suggestions would be to wait the 1st August and see... :)

It is quite alright. I'm in no hurry. The pics I did this weekend, I left off the hair.

As far as submitting information, actually I had quite a few errors this weekend so I figured out how to submit a bug report from the screen that came up. So I submitted and attached an error file that was created.

Don't know if you guys get that information already but I did submit and would be willing to check or submit anything else.
