    Fantastic bell, Stezza.

Reminds me of one of the best April Fool's jokes that we have had in the States.

I modeled a wacky potato sack for my G2 elf in Carrara

then boned it onto G1 in Carrara's usefull plugin DS.

this was the last render before my D:/ HDD started giving up... everything grinded to a halt and crashed after this render crying

I feel your pain.  My computer is in the shop...has been for two weeks!  A drive is failing.  That drive contains the My Documents folder, which is only partially backed up, plus my DAZ Studio Libraries and Poser runtimes!  They haven't been able to clone it.  It keeps crashing.  They're trying a lot of different things, but so far no success.  Tomorrow, I bring it home, recovered or not.  They told me they can keep it and keep trying things, and let me know if they have any success.  I'm not confident in the outcome, though.  There are things I may never recover.   crying

This is a pro shop.  They have all the tools, so I don't see how getting software that I can run will make a difference.  They've been at work on this for about two weeks.  they have tried numerous solutions.  The drive is shot.  It will not stay spun up.  It keeps crapping out when the data recovery starts.  If the electronics don't keep the drive spinning and the heads properly reading, no software can change that.  I am hoping that they have gotten it to stay on long enough for the recovery to work.  But, like I said, I'll know one way or another tomorrow.  And they said I can leave the drive with them and they'll keep trying.

I have often wondered why you couldn't take the platter out of one drive and put it into another one the same

Yo, Dave's computer, get well soon!

Wondeful render, Stezza.  Hope your computer woes get sorted out as quickly and cheaply as possible.

    Dobby?

    Thanks for all the comments..

took out the dying HDD the other day and replaced with an older one.. copied over the software needed for now and Now back to snappingly fast loading up times. Lucky I had recent backups I made during the bushfire crisis to fall back on.  The only thing lost was the sack I modeled. So I just did it again.

nothings cheap! Ordered a new drive online hopefully here early in the week then I'll do the change over process again..

I blame Dobby for the HDD failure lol precious laugh

You know, I don't think it is a good idea to stand next to the Roadrunner.  Explosions, falling anvils, flying knives, all sorts of bad things barely miss the Roadrunner.  surprise

    Fantastic assortment of models.  Wonderful.

Very nice.  If you need some more cage bottom liners, you can have some of my oil company stock certificates.  frown
