Daz_Jon has said we are getting a new forum soon :P
DAZSoon™.... Lemee see, the DIM was initiated I think roughly 3 years after complaints about corrupt DAZ installers... or is that 5 years?
Whichever it is, that's how long DAZSoon™ is likely to be :P
Granted, I think the DIM was a considerably bigger project than fixing the forum bugs would be, unless somehow they have to create some sort of special end-user software to fix that, too O_o
...hope it will let me see the smilies when I'm signed in. They show up only if I'm signed out so it has to be some weird cloudflare issue causing it and not my setup.
From "Glossary of Terms - for those new to Digital Art and DAZ 3D": http://www.daz3d.com/forums/discussion/46/
(Formerly- "For Noobs- A Glossary of Sorts")
DAZ soon: 1- A general good natured attempt at relating an unspecified or incomprehensible time frame to human understanding. 2- An expression of a theory in quantum physics where time actually stops. 3- Equal to or greater than a Epoch. 4- Wishful thinking.
I just never bothered to say anything before as, we all know, there were more important bugs to work out....
....so....
....are those other bugs still being worked on, or can we finally have this little irritant fixed??
edit-->ah, I see someone pointed out the smilies are still dead, so I guess the logon issue will be fixed DAZSoon™I see Smileys they right here :-)
PS; If your Browser Kills your Cookie on Close when you LEAVE daz, as in close your Browser, you are LOGGED out as the cookie created at DAZ login page is what is used. And yes that Cookie times out in the Store as it has a time stamp in it.
EDIT If you use any Program that Auto Kills Cookies it is very possible the TIME, IP wise, to swap from Store login to the Forums is LONG enough to Kill the Cookie and Cause the you can not post issue.

It happens to me every day, log in morning out later. I have no auto kill cookies. I stay logged in everywhere else.
I'm tripping over this, I never drop from the forums unless I kill my cookies. Even On after a Reboot. I'm only trying to help...
EDIT: I drop if Cloud Flair drops but only then.
...Cloidflare is a bust. It isn't a true site mirror, just a shell that mimics one.

& thanks for finally getting the smilies back online--that only took about ... several months ;)
Well its 2024 in a little over a month from now, when is that new forum that WORKS going to be implemented?
I wonder about that sometimes... also it's kinda poignant since two of the people who posted in this thread have since passed away.
I'm not blaming the thread, as far as I know, it's probably not a cursed thread... probably...
Then again I have no idea if it kills the readers...
If anyone who reads this dies afterwards, please let us know or file a ticket or something...
I don't know how that works, but it probably bears some sort of necessity of a warning...
well I haven't been logged out yet
and have stayed logged into this forum too for a couple of months at least
(lost track because been a while)
It turned me into a newt, but I got better.
So it's a newtron bomb of a thread?
For me, it seems random. Can go for days or weeks and I'm still logged in. Other times it is with each visit.
But at least paging works in this version of the forums.
Maybe the thread turns us dead? 0o
One of my Second Life alts is a vampire-boy, thus undead. Does that count?
(Mind you, that alt has existed since well before this thread came along...)
