It all started in another thread, in another forum not a million miles away, When Carola asked a question, which was answered, and then the thread got "Hijacked" < :) > Bald Wizards are very good at Hijacking threads it appears, even helpful threads in a help forum. < smirk >

Okay, I see All the major nuts are here now. TY folks. Just a bit more before bed.
After three more Se'Yagual lackeys fall to his now slick blades, his house guards rallying around him, Jaderail pushes through the invaders into an open area littered with bodies in armors of both black and green, moans from some of the bloody shapes laying before him speaking of life holding on to some of them. Just yards ahead, Jade sees that his brother now faces only one green armored foe in a dance of death. To Darvaneils left and rear a large Se'Yagual soldier fells the Sunderian he was fighting, and then turns toward the unguarded back of Jades brother, his sword raised for a deadly strike as he closes on Darvaneil. Jaderail screams a battle cry and sprints forward just reaching the soldier in time to run him through as Darvaneil finishes off the enemy he had faced. Darvaneil spins at the death groan just paces behind him, sword low and ready, shock plays across his features and then a wide grin.
"It's about time you showed up lil' man," Darvaneil says. "Now guard my back so we can finish this little skirmish."
"I'll lil' man you," Jade says.
"Pardon, My Lord," Jacom says,in a low voice, coming back across the towers lower chamber, "We appear to be alone down here Lord, I believe our enemy is still above. I've checked any place a thief could hide down here"
"It was nothing Jacom, nothing that matters here and now, shall we continue on up and finish this," Jaderail asks his friend. Jacom nods and motions his men toward the enclosed stairs that lead to the upper chambers. I'm a bleeding Lord of the realm now and I still find myself guarding others backs, Jade thinks as we follows his men into the shadowed stairwell.

I took that to mean there was no one in green armor left alive in that floor of the building, not that there is only Jaderail and Jacom there. "We" as in you and your men are alone down here.
No, there never was a brother to be seen. That was Jaderails memoy taking him back to something that happened in his past. A backflash I think it's sometimes called, triggered by the similarities of when Jacom and the guards walked into the building with Jade behind them
yes, thx Carola, can see that now, still the idea of a brotherly guardian angel is an intriguing one

ran out of time, wanted to add butterflies, hopping bunny rabbits and flying my little ponys with rainbows farted out their arses.

JUST A TASTE as I figure out how to get past this corner I stuck myself in.
The shallow stairwell forcing the heavily armed men into single file, they slowly asend the steps before them. On the climb up the steep stone steps Jaderail sheathes his short sword and readies the black bladed dagger for quick action in his right hand. Soon Jacom stands at the upper landing, with hand speak, he once again lays out a plan of action for his men. They prepair themselfs to flow out the oak door and cover each other and each possible area of attck in what only men trained in close combat and years of drills together can seem to make look so smooth and natural. With almost no sound other than the door swinging wide Jacom and his men move. Two go to the right and two to the left, Jade rushes up the last few steps, the dagger ready for a deadly throw as he reachs the doors threashold.
Before him in the upper chamber, muted morning light brightens the room from the outer walls arrow slits, a brighter light falls into the room from the eastern faceing archway to the wall. There in the corner Jaderail sees what he had feared, propped against the wall and the arches outer corner, is a black and red armored figure. The blood flowing down the breast plate and the slackness of the body sitting in a growing pool of crimson telling Jaderail all he needs to know. On impulse he steps into the chamber toward his fallen man, Jacom steps between him and the body from Jades right. His hand held before his face, Jacom motions for all to be still and listen, then he points to a bloody smear on the floor. From the edge of the far archway to the door leading to the towers armory a trail of drying blood crosses the floor, dissapearing under the heavy door, which stands just inches open.
