X-Morphs is an amazing product! I've been waiting for something like this for a long time!

Thank you so much CGI3DM for such an incredible product!

Here's a character made with X-Morphs - Penny 8's torso, Victoria 8's legs, Alexandra 8's nose, and P3D Riza's mouth:

I'd love to see what others come up with! If you use the product, please post your character creations! Weird, cute, sexy, bizaare - whatever you make - I want to see them all! laugh

So let me understand something...is X-Morphs kind of a substitute for GenX in a way?  You can use morphs from one character on another no matter the generation (and I'm speaking Genesis - Genesis 8), but with the added bonus of spliting the morph to make new ones?

No, it's a tool for taking a morph on a figure and splitting it down, so you can try separating head and body on a full body morph or adding asymmetry by applying half of a symmetrical morph. The new morphs are still on the original figure.

That's such a beautiful render, Diva!

I guess I'll wishlist the product now, maybe I'll get it later.

So, it lets you just mix and match with morphs based on the same generation (like morphs for Victoria 8 mixed with morphs from Edie 8 and so on)...okay, I understand.  Thank you.

It's really exciting; consider how often people complain that given figures lack separate head/body morphs and so on.

I almost passed over this one. At first glance and not having had my morning coffee it looked like some sort of creature morph package from the main promo icon.

This looks like the sort of thing people have been asking for here for a long time. And in a way it is a creature-maker. Give a centaur an orc head...

It's more than that; it lets you take part of a whole morph (such as just Ollie's nose instead of his whole head shape, as shown in the demo) and use it to create a new morph to apply to G8M.

It's very powerful in itself. In combination with other utilities (such as GenX) it can take over the whole world. Well, nearly enough. ;-)

this does seem to be really handy. i wish that it had the GenX capacity since I don't think that product is being developed any further. (i updated and now can't move my M4 stuff up to genesis :(  )

So to be not to subtle, if this had an add on that would attepempt cross figure moves - i would also buy that sh*t out of that

GenX isn't being developed any further because the PA who made it died.

I don't know what update you did, but it should still worke fine (the last update was a long time ago). Maybe just some path is set up wrong?

So, for example, you cannot mix Genesis 8 Female with Male morphs? Has to be the same Generation and Gender (outside of the original Genesis, of course).

So, can you only switch morphs from the same generation to the same generation? Or can you put the head of a Genesis monster on G8? I'm confused.

After you've used one character's legs, another's nose, another's torso, another's arms - how do the clothes fit?  And how do the clothes fit using AutoFit for clothing from other generations?

    Thanks!

You can only use it inside a generation, so no transfer of morphs from M4 to G8M, or G1 to G3F. It also says so in the notes on the product page.

You still have to use other utilities (GenX, scripts, etc) to transfer morphs between generations / sexes.

The key to this is that it allows you to select parts of whole morphs for separate use.

    I am very impressed.

Cyclops is a very elaborate morph, and was able to pull out the face (through materials) and work it nicely with a standard body. The XYZ adjustment is CRUCIAL for this sort of thing. Kudos!

Watching the vid helps. I'm a little disappointed that it isn't cross-gender, but hey, I'm grateful that it exists at all!

My question is that for someone like myself that develops their own body and face morphs can I use this as a merchant resource to split my own morphs down??

The PA has an official thread for the product: https://www.daz3d.com/forums/discussion/248176/x-morphs-divide-combine-and-save-released-commercial#latest

    Quote from https://www.daz3d.com/x-morphs:

    "

    Details

X-Morphs, a tool that allows you to split morphs:

    • If your favorite character only has a single full body morph, you can separate the head, body, legs, torso or any other part.
    • You can even cut the morph (body and face) in half and to create the asymmetry for your character.
    • Thus giving the possibility to combine all the morphs that contain your selected figure and create a huge variety of new characters.
    • The use is very simple, but it also has advanced methods such as Weight Maps and Vertices.
    • With the interactive mode it is much easier to see the changes made.
    • With automatic adjustment of Bones you will not have problems of distortion or problems with the clothes.
    • You can also choose the smoothing between the new morphs.
    • Work with any object that contains a morph, figure, clothes or prop.

    Notes

    • Does not support HD morphs or additional JCMs.
    • This product does not transfer morphs to other figures.

You can split the HD morph, but the result will be without HD, that is, it will not have any HD detail.

Thanks for the reply, CGI3DM. Do you think it would be possible to split HD morphs in a next version?

I do not think so. It would be somewhat complicated.

That is the main thing that is keeping me from a purchase right now. I have become very invested in HD morphs and can't imagine not using them now since this addon doesn't support them, especially at this price point. The main reason I want this addon is for 3 characters I want to use that didn't come with seperate body and head morphs. All the other advertised uses really don't pertain to me and my workflow, so i am having a hard time justifying spending this much for my limited use, hmmmmmm...................

So there is no written documentation for this product?   I have no idea how to work this product from the video.
