Wow! this advice is exactly the result I had in mind to get. Well, I try and I keep you updated!
Thanks Richard.
Hey Richard, I'm following the steps you said, tell me if wrong.
1 Genesis 3 base figure in the scene.
2 Import the "Sheila T-Shirt base.OBJ" (this is the OBJ name of the G3F base cloth.).
3 Clean Generated Morphs of the G3F figure
4 Before rig the cloth mentioned above, import via Morph Loader Pro the fitted cloth named "Sheila",the same name of the Sheila shape OBJ. (Need to switch on or off some option in the panel? For instance "Reverse Deformations"?
5 With "Sheila T-Shirt base.OBJ" selected rig the cloth through the Transfer Utility. About this, usually I transfer clothes in this way: Source: G3F, item shape: nothing, Target: name of the cloth (is the one I find in the list together those in the scene), then click Accept.
6 Finally I slide up the dial of Sheila and I find always the cloth obj with gap. No cloth fitted imported in Morph Loader Pro. I don't find the dial too.
Probably I missing something or I move the wrong buttons to do the procedure, anyway the solution is so close.
Import the base OBJ and rig it, then import the morph onto that. There should not be any defomrations to reverse at the point of importing the morph. It's vital to make sure you are using the name, not the label, of the morph (if they differ).
Ok!!!!! I do it!
Done! Followed the steps exactly as you wrote. Point is that when I slide up the Sheila shape morph, it confiming the base and not the Morph Loader cloth imported over it.
Sheila shape has the same name in label and name. I know that it SHOULD change from base to Sheila conform but I don't know don't do it. Seems like the Morph Loader don't load the fitted morph. But we'll find the solution! Yea!
Does the morph work if you manually set it on the clothing?
RICHARD! SOLVED!!!!
Here the steps :
1) Load the base T-Shirt on the base character G3F
2) Cleaning Morph Generated of the G3F base figure.
3) Select T-Shirt and rig it, through Transfer Utility. Accept.
4) Move the dial of the Sheila shape (my character)
5) Select the T-Shirt and shoe the hidden properties in the Parameters tab and DELETE THE GENERATED MORPH called Sheila.
6) Finally load the fitted morph to Sheila (with same name of the Sheila shape) through the Morph Loader Pro
7) And boom! The cloth is fitted for G3F and Sheila.
If I move the Sheila shape dial from Sheila to G3F and viceversa, the cloth morphing the shape smoothly!
Now can import more morphs like the pull up T-Shirt or any other morphs. Done, and works pretty well.
Left pic G3F, mid pic Sheila, right pic Sheila pull ip T-Shirt (to show the bottom bikini string)
We done!!!!! Thanks Richard! Your advice was masterful! I can go ahead to work on Sheila package to for sale!!!!!
Left pic G3F T-Shirt , mid pic Sheila T-Shirt, left pic Sheila pull up TShirt
You don't actually need step 2 - Clearing Generated Morphs is done on the clothes, it removes any morphs that DS has gernated to match morphs on the base figure. It's the same as your manual process in step 5).
I'm glad you have it working now.
Exactly! I delete the generated morph manually so it can be replaced and do not hide the one that match the base morph. As I told you we found solution! And this happened because we have did a great teamwork. Every word by you is a success. Great, and congrats to you to following my ideas.
Here Sheila in promo pic with one of the T-Shirts will include in the package! Texturized in Substane Painter.
Hey Richard. This post has nothing to do with Sheila's clothes, they are working perfectly. But rahter with my mistake.
Afer a big success about the Sheila clothing morph, now happening something that it's getting me nervous.
Everytime I load default G3F, Daz load the Sheila morph.
I tried everything, from deleting morph to overwrite the G3F package in DS. Nothing to do! Indeed, if I delete completely the Sheila morph and I quit DS, when I start again DS and load default G3F it regenerate Sheila morph! Question is, it depend from the my DSF morph shape or from a file overwritten inside a misterious place in DS? Incredible!!!!
If I edit manually the DSF, what file to search for set to 0% the dial?
Thank you!
How are you deleting? Once the morph has been saved to an asset, deleting via the right-click in DS won't do anything to newly loaded figures - just the one you are working on. Fortunately the fix should be fairly simple - click the gear icon on the end of the slider, select Parameter Settings, and sset the Default Value to 0, then use File>Save As>Support Assets>Morph Asset to resave with the same options for Author and product (so that it overwrites the current file).
Ahhhh! Ok, following your steps! You know what? I have abackup of all DAZ3D folder so when I want to copy on my laptop too. So I replaced that old one. Eerything ok, until I load the T-Shirt and manually I deleted the "Sheila" fitted morph. From there I load G3F and start Seila at 100%. Anyway I do this and I keep you updated!
Hey Richard! You shot the target again! Exactly the Default Value setted on 100%. Now is 0 and working pretty well.
Just out the curiosity. In your opinion, why, when I delete the hidden "Sheila" morph generated by the Transfer Utility, the Sheila morph Default Value go up to 100%? I don't know if depending form that, it's a my idea.
I'm not sure, that sounsd odd.
That's right! I think the same too! Listen here, yesterday after fix that effect following your steps, for a couple of load happened the reverse effect I mean, Daz load no more Sheila but the G3F base only, Then, save here save there, everything been perfectly fixed! What's that? Daz has an own personality? Pfuahaha! Anyway everything works perfect now. I think Daz has fixed all the values automatically because did not match.
