thats' pretty nice selina :)
I can get the shader to look like lemon curd when it's on it's own,. but once i apply it to the cake slice,. it changes because of the different lighting, enclosed in a shell,.. or i get a deep red rather than yellow, ... i think i need to rebuild my cake slice with a more realistic structure,.
anyway,. here's my latest tinkerings .
.
variations on a theme, or,.. the byproduct of endless tinkering
do we have to vote on this? It is getting rather hard, all are as tasty as fudge!
yup open vote

Something simple. .

@Selina: Looks pretty good. Not sure if you know this, but you can get the hdri lighting without seeing it in the image if you don't want to. Just put the hdri (or even a regular image in the scene's background), then put something of your choice, such as another image, color or color gradient in the scene's Backdrop. You'll get the image based lighting in the scene but won't see it because of what is in the backdrop.
Another cool thing you can do, is use a realistic atmosphere in the Scene's Atmosphere, and put an image in either the scene's Background or Backdrop, and those image will appear behind the atmosphere.

mmmm chocolate biscuits!

Tim Tams
or my attempt at them!

Nice models and textures,.
I love the gingerbread man,. nicely made,. simple,.. with nice details,..sweet.
Had to look up tim tams,. it's strange the names we give to food,. Kit kat, snickers,. tim tams,. etc..
so i made a couple of biscuits too ,. a gypsy creme and a kit kat,. also my final shader (probably) for the lemon curd stuff.

That's some nice looking glass.
The only suggestion I have is that it looks perfectly clean and brand new. I know nothing comes out of my dishwasher looking like that. Sometimes adding a little variation in the reflection can add a ton of realism.
.
Nice composition with nice shadows!
