Still can't open DS

I looked up the dll with google - and the first three pages of results boiled down to three fixes.

    1) uninstall the Intel display  driver

    2) Delete the dll (make a copy elsewhere first)

    3) Wipe and reinstall windows 10

So start with SixDs's process and see if it works.

    Hello all,

Wonderland, I had your exact problem. I have a Windows 10 machine with a Nvidia GPU, but my processor is an i9 7980 and doesn't have any integrated graphics. What was happening for me was the exact same fatal error and ensuing message that you were experiencing. Essentially, for me Daz Studio was looking for driver components for the integrated GPU (that is igdrclneo64.dll) but the driver cannot access the GPU because there isn't one, hence the access violation message. There is no sign of any Intel graphics anywhere on my machine because it does not physically exist.

So, I moved the igdrclneo64.dll file out of the C:\Windows\System32\DriverStore\FileRepository folder (I didn't delete it, just moved it to a safe location elsewhere) and this eliminates the issue: Daz Studio opens instantly.

Now, what I am curious about is that the screenshot you posted shows that you have an i7 7700k CPU, and these CPUs do actually have integrated graphics. Perhaps it has been disabled or never properly enabled when the PC was being built, or the drivers are not installed. Regardless, try moving that .dll file and see if this works. You do not really need integrated graphics with your dedicated GPU - it will only cause conflicts elsewhere.

My computer shows both drivers in the device manager. .One for the 1080 card and one for the intel graphics. I am trying to post a screen shot, but it doesn't load the jpg, no matter how many times I try.

I also tried to delete this comment before I posted to see if creating a new one would allow me to post the image, but I can't even do that. Even shutting off the computer and coming back later didn't get rid of this draft.

Well, I guess all I had to do was post the comment and the image appeared.

In any case, I have both installed and Daz Studio runs OK for me. I don't know what the intel is used for so I don't have a clue if it is needed or not. But that is how my computer came setup.

Are there any red x's or yellow ! marks in your device manager? Or are there any unknown devices?

You are installing the 64 bit version and yet a line in the log references the Program Files (x86) which is for 32 bit programs.

Have you fromatted your computer yet? At this point you may be better off wiping it and starting fresh.

Hello Wonderland, have you had any luck yet? (I know it was a holiday weekend so you might have not been messing around with it, but I am hoping that your silence over the weekend was from finally getting it working :)

I'm a bit overwhelmed. It was my birthday and holiday weekend and I'm back. Still no help from tech support ticket after 16 days. You guys are way more helpful. Everything else on my computer works fine including Oculus VR and Photoshop. DS is the only program that won't open.

The weird thing is, that I accidentally originally installed it on my external hard drive, and it DID open, only to crash after a few minutes of using it. I realized my error, uninstalled it from the external hard drive through DIM, then manually deleted everything Daz related on that hard drive, eventually uninstalling even the many thousands of products on it.  I then installed through DIM on my C drive of the actual computer, but DS will not open or work at all. Why would it open initially on an external hard drive and not on the computer itself? This makes no sense to me...  I'm a Mac person, but was able to run DS in CPU only mode on an old Windows 8 laptop but can't open it on this Windows 10 1081ti machine. I even tried to open it in troubleshooter in Windows 8 mode but no luck. Windows says I have all the latest drivers, everything is up to date, as does NVIDIA.

This a brand new computer with Windows 10 updated to the newest Windows 10 updates. EVERYTHING else works like a dream, I just can't open DS. I don't know if something got screwed up when I accidentally installed it on the external drive, but I can't find anything else to uninstall or delete. And yes, I've restarted the computer each time, after every uninstall/reinstall.

I tried installing DS in both C program folders (one at a time) and it didn't work in either one. I don't want to wipe the whole computer because everything else is working fine and I'm afraid to screw with it, it's clearly a DS only issue...

I guess I will try searching online for Intel drivers but I'm surprised Windows has not done that for me and it says all my drivers are up to date...

Okay, thank you for confirming the error as I requested, Wonderland. Now, here is what I want you to do. I won't go into a lengthy technical description of why - lets just get DAZ Studio working, if we can. Please take your time and follow the instructions precisely. If you have a problem at any step, do not rummage around, come back here and we'll sort that part out, then proceed.

    1. Since you already apparently know how to open Control Panel, open it and look for Programs and Features. Click on that.

    2. In the list of programs that appear, scroll down and find "Intel HD Graphics Driver". Select that from the list so it is highlighted.

    3. At the top of the list there is a header with a menu.  You should see an "Uninstall" option. Click on that.

    4. You should now get the Intel Graphics Unistallation Program popup, asking if you wish to uninstall - the answer is Yes. (Since the Intel graphics is disabled and you don't intend to use it, there is no reason to have a driver for it installed. You can always re-install later if you should ever decide to use it.) Wait a bit while the driver is uninstalled.

    5. Once the uninstall has completed, you should see that Intel HD Graphics Driver is gone from your list. Good.

    6. Close Control Panel and shut down your computer.

    7. Reboot your computer.

    8. Once the operating system is completely loaded, try to open DAZ Studio and report back here.

The cold restart may not have been necessary, but sometimes it is better to be certain. Hopefully you will now be able to access DAZ Studio.

Thanks but I don't have an Intel HD driver to uninstall... Someone else said I needed to download it, but I haven't yet.

    Well happy belated birthday! :)

Since dfenton had your same problem with same error, I would try his suggestion, find and move the igdrclneo64.dll file that the computer is complaining about (I'd cut/paste it to your documents folder or something. If DS still doesn't work, then you can move it back. But if it does, then leave it alone and enjoy DS once again :)

"Thanks but I don't have an Intel HD driver to uninstall"

I know that you are convinced that no Intel driver is installed, Wonderland, but the error message seems to suggest that it is. I suspect that they were automatically installed along with your operating system when the computer was assembled. When the Intel graphics were subsequently disabled, the drivers remained.

You will not find installed drivers listed in Control Panel under Device Manager if a piece hardware has been disabled in your computer's BIOS, as I believe is the case for the Intel Graphics. As I mentioned in my instructions, you really should look under Programs and Features in Control Panel instead to see if that Intel HD Graphics Driver is listed there. If you have already done so and it is not listed, then I stand corrected. Otherwise, once again, the instructions that I gave will do no harm, and are worth a shot. Your choice, of course.

I was just looking to see if you finally managed to get Daz working again.  It appears that you have, so that's good news!
