My understanding of this sale is that the items that appear as new items each day can be had for 70% off if one also buys one of the qualifying items at the same time. Is this correct?

Not that I want the new outfit, but what do you do if you bought the 'qualifying new releases' when they were actually released?
Since to get the discount the qualifying item and the outfit have to be in the cart at the same time (I really hate that one), you'll probably be told that if you want the discount on the outfit, you would need to buy the item again along with outfit and then ask for a refund for the one you bought on the day it was released.

I never said it made sense or was even remotely close to poor marketing let alone average marketing.
The one thing I'm wondering is, do we have to buy a different qualifying product from the list each day to get the discount on the new product or will just a single purchase of a single qualifying product count for the whole thing. I have a pretty good idea what the answer is but I'd really like to hear it. Not that we get official announcements of things like this anymore...

Hmm. I like the new outfit but don't really need any of the scenery. I'm always in need of men's clothing. No 70 percent for me. But looks like the discount on the men's outfit is now 50 percent off. It was 30 percent off earlier. I just don't get pricing in the daz store.

I'm not much interested in most of what's on the list either. There's maybe two or three scene props I'd consider but with the PA sale coming up in a about two months or so (if DAZ goes with September instead of November as they did last year) I'm pretty sure I can wait to pick them up.

So.. I like the new outfit and textures and it would cost me about $12 and change the way the price is now. The only thing that interests me is the denim outfit and textures to get the 70% off. Put it all in cart and it's $25 and some change. Know what? I'll just get the new outfit and textures and move on. LOL

I bought Karacairns and used it to get Treadz the night it was released, that's really about all I wanted out of the new releases last couple of nights. I'd love to have most of Ignis' store, but like you, I've been waiting for the PA sale for a lot of things.

Funny; I don't use Carrara much, but I picked up yesterday's outfit at a discount by picking up the Carrara scenery kit, after watching the video for it on YouTube. It's pretty freaking sweet, so I'll have to install it on the one box that can handle Carrara at some point. I got some combination of discounts, some for owning V6, some for the multiple purchases...But yeah, I agree that having bought the items already SUCKS for the discounting. :( It'd be nice if, when you'd already bought a pre-requisite for a sale, you could select a 'phantom' purchase, something you'd already bought, and include it for the sake of the discount, so it could be used only once for a later sale, but you wouldn't be charged for it. It would just apply the discount against the purchase, and then be marked as 'used' for that purpose.

p.s. The 30%/51% pricing is because in the first while after release, it's at 30% until they mark it as DAZ Original, so the PC discount of 30% kicks in. 30% discount on a 30% off item multiplies to 51% off, so once they mark it as DO correctly, the price adjusts for PC members. You may also have seen it as a not-logged-in user, because the store logs folks off pretty often...
Anyone happen to know if the female Avalon oufit's skirt has any morphs for movement? It looks very nice, but if there aren't any bones in the skirt, it might look odd if the character sits down. Thanks in advance.
...ach, another "BOGO-iszed" sale (buy this, get that at a better discount). I was hoping the Fastgrab Frenzy would have continued all month instead. Actually got a number of things I wanted from it.
I do have the Carrara Woodlands kit on my wishlist but have to wait till midweek to purchase. Hopefully there's something I can use (don't do much if any fantasy work at all) which is the new release of the day.
If you purchased the qualifying item before the potential 70% off item was released I would open a support ticket - at worst they will say they can't help, but they may be able to refund the difference. Though it may be a bit late now, given that the items have changed.
No morphs listed and the outfit doesn't even come with boots. I think the fringy thingys around the legs are supposed to follow the pants. I don't see a skirt listed on the product page. It lists jacket, pants and shirt. Without boots or some type of footwear, the outfit feels incomplete.
I just got the email about the Christmas in July it says that the construction set by Merlin is 50% off for 2 days and yet the banner in the shop has it at 30% off and the price is 30% off WTF. I am so sick of this mess. This really is false advertising.
But I really should thank them for saving me money.
I don't have it and I'm asking myself the same question but as 'skirt' isn't listed as a separate item and from promos, I think it is rigged like pants, i.e. no morphs, no ghost handles, it just moves with legs.
On small promo shot #3 at least it looks like that to me.

So I just got an email that "Mecha Bay" was free with any purchase. Does that mean I missed out, because I bought Ashe yesterday?

Mecha Bay seems to be this week freebie, free for PC, free with purchase for non-PC. If you wish to get it with Ashe, buy it again with Ashe and ask a refund for yesterday purchase. Or you might find something else until next Tuesday to get it with.

I am completely baffled about how this sale is supposed to work. I don't see 70% off on anything, no matter what items are in my cart.
EDIT: Decided to open a Sales Support Ticket for guidance on this. Hopefully who ever reads it has a sense of humor and can understand the frustration... We live in the era of Zombie-Bowl-O-Rama where zombies can wear bow hats and dance disco if you toss a meatball on them. Jesus on pogo, while pretty cool, doesn't come close to be this awesome.

I still don't understand what needs to be in the cart and when, since I still can't get anything to show a 70% discount. But that's okay, a 100% discount is available by just not buying anything.
And *grumble grumble* it would help if there weren't 17 different frikkin sales all cobbled together on one announcement page.
Mh, to give an example: if you put new Faveral's Construction Props in the cart with Avalon Adventure and/or Avalon Adventure textures, it will give you Avalon Adventure (and/or Avalon Adventure Textures) for 70% off instead of 51%. They have to be together in a cart on checkout because this is the way new store works in those case of sales.
...at least the Fastgrab Frenzy was a refreshing interlude as you knew what you were paying without any strings attached.

Thank you Kattey, your description helped me sort the logic of this out in my head. (Which is insane. The purpose of these promotions should be to get sales, not confuse your customers.)
I am seeing the discount, but have no idea if it's the promised 70% off or not. The math on this site is so god awful muddled that it makes my hair hurt.
