...yes even updated java and still nothing. When I went to check my add ons I noticed I have FF22.0 installed to the notebook This must have occurred when I turned on auto updates for a while to snag some MS ones so I wonder if it is something ver. 22 isn't liking about the forum software.

I've been avoiding 22 because Norton Safe Web won't work with it. You could be on to something.

    Dana

...that's odd, as it is working on mine (the XP notebook) I have the search field on the toolbar and I get all the little "Norton "OK", and "?" flags in Google. Id so see that the Norton Vulnerability Protection plugin id disabled as according to the Add On Manager it is incompatible with ver 22.

Just went to the Norton support site and learned that the the SEP browser IPS (which is tied to Norton Vulnerability Protection) is not compatible with the latest version of FF but should be fixed in the next update. Unfortunately, there is no real workaround.

Right now I just wish I could get the bloody smilies to show up when I'm signed in.

Still have no idea why I'm having issues not letting me sign into GMail or post a comment here on the Workstation.

Oh, I was mistaken, it's the vulnerability thing that isn't compatible. I really hate this. Why can't they work together to put security updates out at the same time? Surely they realize that they are not working in a vacuum separate from one another!

    Dana
...i hear ya. It's about as bad as when Daz puts out a brand new shiny update of Studio and all the Plugin creators have to scramble to update their products again.

...OK finally something I planned to do last night but got sidetracked from with all the FF/Forums/GMail rubbish.

Not going to re enter a full explanation (that can be found on the Realistic Renders...NOT thread) however her is the pic I posted the other day with the flag corrected and several more surfacing adjustments.

This is my Lady Meggan Grande, Leela's adoptive mum who in her early days was an Olympic champions swimmer for the UK. I wanted to do a "poolside" scene and found this really nice indoor pool freebie. As it was a textured .obj, I had to make a lot of adjustments (again more detailed in the other thread). Suffice to say it was a real learning experience and a good one at that. The Union Jack was not part of the set, I created that with a plane primitive, a .jpg image and bump map from the Fabricator.

Lady Meg is build on Genesis/V5 with Fabiana's Druscilla Goth skin map (using the V4 UV) V4 head shape, Dye Trying's Genesis morphs and Thoren's Body/Head Morph resource kits.

Her hair is Koz's Long hair Evolution (hey, it still works and looks nice). Her bathing suit is Sickle Yield's Classic Swimwear with the UK flag motif added.

Yes...yes she is. Is that why she has no sword? It is an...interesting character, though.

    Dana

Didn't think she needed one and it's an old render. And thank you. ;)

    ...Misty and Dana, Thank you.

Again it was one of those "supposed to be simple' pics that just became more involved a I kept working on it.

The Mesh lights really help with the depth of the scene All totalled, there are twelve lights (the overhead flood lights) plus the base UE sphere. I'm so glad I learned this technique as it makes the lighting "real" since the props themselves are actual light emitters.

what's the popular beer in Australia?

saw my neighbor with a stella artois. it was somehow man canceling :-/

It varies considerably, especially to states.

QLD tend to be fans of XXXX Gold (Dad lives there)

NSW is often VB, Blonde and Tooheys (I'm in NSW btw)

Vic is most certainly fond of VB

    Don't know about other states.

All beer is lager here, tends to confuse English ppl. VB where I am, and Swan in West Australia :)

If I can ever post it.

It is a first of a series called Scene Squares.

It's Monday, so of course.. complaints!

    - Slept 12 hours Saturday
    - Slept 10 hours Sunday
    - Up this morning at 6:30am, painful, painful
    - As soon as I walk in the door at work I get jumped with a bug report - didn't even reach my desk - and it's not even a showstopper bug
    - Now in a very bad borderline homicidal mood, feeling seriously under-appreciated
    - Taking more pills than a 60s druggie (diabetes med, antibiotic, vitamin E, fish oil, multivitamin, probiotic wafer)
    - NO WAR VIXEN RENDER THIS WEEKEND (grrr grrr grrr)

    Non-complaints:

    - Cold pizza for breakfast :cheese:
    - Chicken wings for lunch!
    - No cramps all weekend, hooo freaking ray!

    afternoon TEA time

rummage in the fridge - lessee.
fresh mozzarella cheese, tomato, black olive, stir in a bit of olive oil. says extra virgin.

i thought virgin was a boolean option, seems to be degrees of extra? mebbe it's diluted with something non-olive

    Virgin = untouched
Extra virgin = doesn't even know what touching is
Extra extra virgin = never seen another one of its kind, ever
