Personally, I would've been just fine if they had just put the coupon in their banners earlier - I check this site more often than I check my e-mail, which is...sad. :/

Still, I don't see how DAZ or any other company can really take all time zones into account. Sometimes being in another time zone is a disadvantage - sometimes it's an advantage. I mean, what can they do, check where everyone is living and then send out the mails individually?

48 hour promotions instead of 24 hour promotions, that might help, though.

So... it's definite now that DAZ seems to dislike Europe.

I got the eMail yesterday at 23:00 (that's 11pm in Europe). Too bad that it was one of the days where I finally managed to get to sleep before midnight.

I found the eMail this morning at 8:15 European Time, which meant that I missed the coupon by exactly 15 minutes, since we are exactly 8 hours ahead of you.

According to the full header on the email this was sent at 15:45 BST, so 16:45 European time, which equates to 08:45 Daz time.

The delay is therefore on the routing of emails, not on DAZ 3D's part in sending the email.

I received my copy much earlier in the evening than you apparently did, and I use Yahoo, which is well known for being tardy in relaying mass emails such as the DAZ 3D ones.

I didn't receive any email about it at all.

I just received my E-Mail this morning. I think there is something wrong with GMAIL. I missed out on the whole weekend. I hope the coupons repeat.

It's only the sub-total that has to be at $45 - so you could pick up some things that are on a stacking sale. Some new items will give you 40%/45% off the vendors entire store - the subtotal is calculated from the full price...

Sorry, but I cannot come up with $35 or even $25 worth of post-discount items that I really want to purchase. Maybe tomorrow.

Hey thanks for telling me that - I didn't realise it would work on the original prices (i.e. before discount) - as a result I just got Sickleyield's Morphing Tux set with a couple of the new items for less than $25!

Are you serious? I've never even thought of that. I've always added the min required based on the sale prices. /slaps self

Well I'm sure the store didn't mind ;-)

I also have the habit of 'trying it twice' "just in case" the coupons will repeat. They usually don't of course.

I haven't found that to always be true -- I think it makes a difference if the discount has preconditions. If something is just x% off (so the discounted value is right on the product page), it uses the discounted value, but if something gets a greater discount when you buy two or more or when you buy something else (so the extra discount gets subtracted after the subtotal), I think it uses the value before that extra discount.

Yeah, someone mentioned this in another thread. I don't think this is always the case. I think it is only working in this case because the wider store discounts aren't applied until after the sub-total. Of course Daz is probably closing this little loophole as we speak .

At least it's certainly something to start trying from now on.

I'm pretty miffed. I didn't read this until 9 PM PST lastr night, and when I started shopping, DAZ WAS DOWN FOR MAINTANENCE!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!

Byt the time they got back up, the coupon no longer worked. They chose YESTERDAY of all days to go dfown for maintenence. DAZ did this on purpose!
