@richarandtracy - Nice, I can almost feel the melancholy Romina must be feeling on that image.

  • I was a little inspired by a pose I saw in a photograph by fant over on Rendo, and I wanted to see what would happen to the draping of a dress by Moonlight001, so.. Romina got volunteered to be the model.

you've done really well here, I've been looking at a lot of images in various things especially old school pinup love Bettie Page can get so many ideas from these can be tricky replicating them though, often have to turn off limits in whatever bodypart your manipulating

  • done well watchdog79 and Thyranq in those deals, luckily if you miss any this time many of Mousso's ladies are often in really good sales

  • she looks so peaceful and content though nice image richardandtracy

  • Thanks for the comments about the Romina in the window image. It wasn't the one I had in mind when I started, thinking initially of a profile from in the room looking out when I modelled the building. However my ideas changed when I saw the view from outside looking in.

Got to do something about the brick texture, it looks too new: It's one I'm planning on using in a freebie model of our Victorian Granary I want to offer, and while it looks quite 3D, it doesn't look old enough. And I'm going to have to create a better texture mapping method in the modeller I've written. The window reveal needs to be mapped as part of the wall, not as a separate cylinder. Will have to try to unwrap the surface, which is going to be an intellectual challenge to think through how to do it.

So many of my images are a result of this. I love it. There's so many times I'll be sitting there wanting to do an image of something, but don't know what, and I'll just like load a pose or a prop-scene or something, and just start fiddling around, and then all of a sudden the camera angle lines up perfect, and you get an idea. You work on that for a little bit, and more little things come to you to try out, and everything just flows because you happened upon a camera angle - love it!

Actually, few of my renders look the same as what I had in mind when I started with the scene.laugh

Here's Rhogue, lighting the place up.

I don't like how the smoke turned out on this - it's too rigid, but despite my best attempts, I couldn't blur it out the way I wanted it. I like the shot though, so figured I'd share.

  • still looks cool Thyranq.

Thyranq, looks to me as if she could be in the downwind debris field as some fancy composite armour is shredded by incoming fire. Could imagine long strips being ripped off the edge of grp armour. Another possible explanation is she's in a dry stubble field, and incoming fire impacting near her is kicking up dust and stubble stalks, all of which are blowing downwind

    It actually looks pretty impressive.

@ANGELREAPER1972 If you have not already, take a look at the works of Alberto Vargas. He was a real trendsetter for pin ups 1930s to 1970s. He did a lot of work under the name Varga also. (Varga girls)

A couple of my attempts at the Vargas style.

Nice draping going on there, particularly in that second one. Love the pastel flooring. Good colour scheme all around on that one, and some great posing as well!

  • very nice dtrscbrutal and yeah likeThyranq said nice work with draping - did you use dforce on them

  • Thank you very much, Thyranq!

Thanks ANGELREAPER1972! Yes, dForce in both images, hair and cloth. I did quite a bit of shaping of the cloth prior to the sim with mesh grabber to get the effect I wanted. The second image especially.

  • That second image is really quite something. Hard to imagine it being a 3D modelling sourced image. Really impressive.

Must try myself now that I have a graphics card that can do it in sub glacial times.

  •  Thank you, richardandtracy! Having the right tools makes a big difference.

Haha that's a really fun image! Great job with the posing and expressions on that one!

  • Bananas... All I can say is 'Yes, totally.'

    wink

  • thanks Thyranq and richardandtracy. Well it was inspired by Family Guy scene where Brian tries to cheer Peter up dressing up as a banana and singing "peanut butter jellytime"

I love your renders, everyone. Those are some fine pieces of art, keep them coming.yes

Are you still in one piece?

Rachelle turning to her not-so-brave-and-bold sidekick after scaring off some thugs with her wrist blades, during an expedition to ancient ruins.

  • nice watchdog79. And like the angle perspective and kit bashing of her outfit and making it come together think I have all those parts myself

  • Here's Romina in

    I've Hungered, For Your Touch

inspired by thescene from GHOST and the title comes from the lyrics in the theme song UNCHAINED MELODY

I like Romina's expression a lot on the images, ANGELREAPER. The fellow behind her causes shivers, and not of the good kind. Well done.smiley

It took me a while to understand there was something on the wall behind the Brain Eater's head, though, as the shapes didn't make sense at the first glance. For a while, I thought he had a dark dog-like muzzle, until I examined the head zoomed in and I found out it was not part of the head.

What item do the shelves and the pottery come from, please?

    Good stuff guys!

Love the look of her in your image, watchdog - really captures the confidence and authority that the character emits.

Angelreaper, that's a pretty creepy one haha. I like the second one better, where the decrepid guy is in more of a fleshy colour - shows a lot more detail in that one.
