Thanks and you are welcome:) In terms of Genesis1 support, this was a tough decision to make really. I never made a Genesis1 version for a number of reasons. The main one being that it already has a basic child and teen morphs\products available for it, so how viable this product would actually be was always in question. The other reason is that it was hard to get good results on a universal genderless base, so if I had to do this for Genesis1, I would essentially have to make two versions where a female base shape and male base shapes is dialled in automatically, and that might be an issue since most people never use those in their characters and just use character shapes such as M5 or D5. Having it made on a base is important, so that blending of other character morphs can be done. It works well on Genesis2 female base because the base is a good starting point to make females of all ages since the base is Gender specific. Hope that makes sense. But when I have more free time I will look into it again. For now my aim is to get Genesis2 on par with Genesis1 in terms of my products (certain ones), and then dual support of new products will continue:)
I understand the issue with Genesis1.
I've tried several times to make something that would scale through, but if fails using basic scaling tools.
I was hoping, with your experience, you would have more luck than I did; but I from what you said it appears you ran into the same issues.
The Basic Child seems to suffer from the same issues as you try to push it up or down too far.
At one point I believe I stated, we needed several age groups; Toddler, School Child, Tween, and Adult.
I have said, children are not small adults, because our body changes so much as we grow. There is that gangly period where nothing is the right size, no matter what size, as some parts grow and others don't. Like Puppies hands and feet grow first and then the rest of the body to match. We get chunky, like we are gathering material for the next growth spirt and then boom we grow six inches seemingly over night. And then there is the Finishing touches at the end, where everything seems to get more refined.
From your store images it seems you thought of most, if not all, of that in when crafting these morphs. I will have to wait for the weekend to play with it and attempt to create a few character using it.
Again thanks.
Does anybody have a problem seeing those new products in New Releases? I don't see them.
Ye they are not listed there yet..Will contact daz about this.
if you click on the 30% button it will take you to the product page, that is how I got it earlier.

Slam dunk in the cart. Now when your Aging Morphs for G2F are in my my runtime, I'll be ready for all ages of female humans.
Will start finishing those off as soon as I finish skin overlay:) Here is a sneak peak at the wrinkled skin overlay. Will start a thread on that soon once I have a more finished version to show.

For one, I wish to have a Genesis version too. I'll get this one but just to see if it translates well into Genesis and if it won't (according to the opinion here it won't), I won't keep it - sorry, Zev0, it is a beautiful thing, I just have no use for G2F whatsoever.
Oooo...is that G1 or G2M?
No problem Kattey. Do what you must:)

For v4,m4,v5 and m5 UV sets. So essentially it will work for both:)
Thank you for your understanding.

Will work on Genesis = wonderful news :)

Yep:) Started on this before I knew about Genesis2 lol. So it was made with Genesis in mind.
Purchased this morning and can't wait to try it out.
I kinda wonder though - what does this mean for gen 6 of Kids and YT? Guess time will tell.
Question... does this include an adult morph which is different from genesis female? And any plans for poses for the kids or an infant? Children are sort of a pita to pose.

Thanks :)
Only difference to the adult you can make is using the shape adjust and adult proportion. The product is mainly to create figures of different ages leading up to the adult, not really changing the adult. In terms of pose sets, I will speak to some PA's. I'm sure one or two would love to make something:)
Product should now be listed under new releases. Thanks to Daz for sorting this out:) There was an indexing issue, have no idea what that means lol. Anyways just glad its fixed.
Growing Up looks great! I would be interested in a genesis 1 version if it's viable.
No idea actually. If they do it then great. Will mean more kiddie and teen content:) The more stuff the merrier, be it from Daz or PA's.

Big Yayz!
Gotcha. I never had a use for Kids content, but you're right - the more the merrier!
Thanks!
Count me in for one more who would like Growing up for Genesis 1.
Like some others, I'm not spending a dime on Genesis 2. But, I'd be happy to get this if you release it for G1 (and it's Poser DSON compatible ;)
Looking at the 'Growing Up' product, I find myself a bit puzzled.
You say in the product blurb: " The morphs were created based on average human proportions and scale relative to age, so more accurate results could be achieved."
Which is good, but ....
A few years ago I did some research on growth patterns for girls, as some writing about a female character I was doing had a bunch of flashbacks to various episodes in her childhood and teenage, and I wanted to be clear how tall she was at each age, amongst other things. So I hunted up various US and UK figures for average child growth and height/age charts for both girls and boys.
My recollection is that up to about 10 years old boys and girls grow at the same rate, and average heights for both genders are the same for each age. Then at 11/12 girls have their growth spurt - earlier than boys (and of shorter duration and less height gain than the boys will have later), actually becoming a little taller than the boys of their age on average at this point. By 13 quite a few girls are at their full height already, and most are within an inch or two of their adult height. Most girls are at their adult height by fifteen, if not reaching it in the year or two before 15.
Now - that is the average girl, of course. Some have a later growth spurt; some have a longer growth spurt. But you do say your product is based on "average human proportions and scale relative to age". Yet the promo picture showing all the presets has considerable height growth between 'young teen' and 'older teen', and considerably more between 'older teen' and 'adult', when in reality 13 (youngest teen to be a teen at all) should be within an inch or two of full adult height already, and mid-teen (15) would be the same as adult. That promo picture looks far more like the height/age changes for a boy, not at all like an average girl. A few girls might show that growth pattern, but they'd be very few and atypical.
By average proportions I mean where the hand sits next to the hip, and where the hip line starts etc with regards to where the elbow is with relation to age. Those are just presets in the promo's, designed to give you a starting point. You can make up our own height etc. If you don't like the height that they are set at, thats what the height morphs are for in the body morphs for Genesis2. I am working on averages here. There is no way I can create a height that will satisfy every user. Also the Genesis figure has a pre-determined height and I had to work on those constraints and the morphs had to blend into the base shape at default state when at 0. But if you mix the morphs properly, you can get exactly the result you are looking for. Genesis2 has the morphs to do that. And if you have Shape Shift, its even easier. And there is no way I can accomodate for growth spurts lol. That is a variable that is different in every person, and there is no set formula for creating that.
I have been waiting for this. There was no doubt that I was buying this when I saw it this morning.
Here is a quick render of my first try using these morphs. I am impressed.
Greetings,
This was an instant purchase, along with Sisters. Also tossed in FW et al's Lora and your Face Weight. If the aging morphs come to G2F, then it'll be awesome to dial-spin a character from circa 5 years old up to 80-something! :)
Still very much looking forward to anything like the 'Growing Up' that you can do for G2M, so I can render analogues to my two little boys...with light sabers...and dragons! (Because in their minds, these two things exist side-by-side happily...)
