Cool new light set: Luminosity Black

    Great job; i dismissed this based off the promos; not keen on the quality testing issue, but it happens and Daz is normally good at fixing.

    Make sure you refresh your library if you downloaded it with Daz Studio open (or you can close Daz Studio and reopen it). Sometimes content I just downloaded doesn't show up for me until I do that. 

    You should be able to find the lights files under "Lights" >> "Luminosity Black".

    Why would lights for DS Iray be under Poser Content?

    I do rather like the gel light effects which can be increased easily by just scaling the gel but as the gel light is not parented to the spot light properly if you move the spot light the gel doesnn't move with it, which is irratating.

    I like the set - though I do agree that the file placement is a bit different. It would be nice if there was a bit more consistency in where products are placed in our Libraries. I don't think I have any other product under "Render Settings" and only one product under "Lights". The rest of those types of products are under "Render Presets" and "Light Presets". Thankfully I organize my purchases under custom categories. So I can categorize them where I can find them.

    I think the gels are made just like the mesh lights, theyve just had a texture applied to them for the effect. Does that help?

    Caustics would be a natural effect caused by the breaking of the light in a water surface.

    Great renders, by the way - if I hadn't bought the set already, I would buy it now. smiley

    Make light invisible is bugged. The preset is looking for a .png that is not in the correct file folder. I believe that it is looking for a folder from one of the artists previous sets. I still need to submit the bug to daz.

    Id write a complaint to daz about the file location. Im not sure why daz hasnt established a set of standards for file location yet. Still seems that PA's have too much control over where their products can install. Thats my guess anyways.

    Thank you Scorpio and Diva. Honestly, I guess I was being lazy or forgetful since NONE of the Iray lets sets I have are under Lights. I actually had deleted the folder several months ago and all the lights sets in it and didn't realize this product had created a new Lights Folder. Odd they set it up that way, but at least now I know where they are at. Thanks again! :D

    it may be worth opening a support ticket to ask if that is the correct placement - as noted, Daz has geenrally been placing lighting in the Light presets folder for some time (just as it uses Shader Presets instead of Shaders).

    Are they character that you reworked or are they available to buy ?
