Opened it with Mac text edit. I tried to unzip it with the unarchiver and unrarx. Neither worked.
Skip that.
Now I used Text wrangler and the lines make more scents.
Did the edit, tried to save, TW said can't save or save as because this binary property list is malformed error code 20022. So I copied text to clipboard to simple text.
This text version stopped the auto fill of connect dialog but none of my content showed, nothing would load and not able to login. So I trashed it.
Went back to the original plist and my content came back but autofill of my info was still there. Still not able to login.
I've already tried to uninstallDS but what if I also trash every file that DS uses except the CMS? Maybe that would work?
Aren't prefs rewritten by DS if I trash all of them?
Did you try to log in without having auto connect checked?
Yes, it doesn't matter, auto connect alway comes back on next time I start DS.
As a test; Changed my password on Daz. Then I totally trashed everything on my Macbook.
Every preference, plist.,CMS, Uninstalled both DS and PostgreSQL, all content, folders, anything I could find that has to do with Daz.
Did a system wide cleaning using CleanMyMacX for any junk.
Did a clean install of DS and PostgreSQL....and....Same problem, can't login. (auto connect stays off though)
What's strage is, in DS under Connect in the top menubar, My Account, My Cart, My Wishlist, My Gallery all work fine.
I think I need a new account.?
That even more suggests that it has to do with Connect. Do you have a Connect directory setup in Content Directory Manager and does that directory exist?
When I had accidenty removed the empty Connect directory that DS had configured, I could not connect to Postgres, when I put that back again, I could, that's why I try to point at something with that.
Yes there is a new one auto setup by Daz /users/me/documents/daz3d/studio/my daz connect library/... but it is empty which it should be right now.
Any idea where to go from here?
I will try to figure something out, this was a tricky thing so it's probably something stupid I overlook.
Another thing. On the account login screen there is the EULA agreement. It can't find that. I'm sure I signed it once upon a time.
But I can't even make a new user without signing that.
And also, about three days ago on the Daz site I tried to change my login email, It seemed to accept it (gmail account) but I never got
the conformation request from Daz.? Now when I go to look at or edit it, my original email is still in the box and below is the message "*new email address waiting for confirmation". But of course, I never got it. wtf?
My reason for changing my email was to test if my original email was being blocked or something because it originates in Europe and is a pretty obscure email provider.
It is the same email I've been using for at least 15 years though with no problems. Well, there was one problem, LOGGING IN about 10 years ago, Daz had me make another account under a 2nd email. I can't remember what the problem was but it did finally get solved and the problem involved using my current obscure email.
One other thing I just tested that did not work.
(I can login to both Daz accounts on my old mac pro with the newly installed DS4.10)
No luck, logging on my iMac using the 2nd Daz acccount.
OK, something really weird going on
Could the problem stem from having more than one version of DS installed?
But my Macbook only has one.....
This started when Daz did their server change. Maybe something involved with that?
Yea I am also getting the a valid PostgreSQL CMS Connection could not be Established error on my Mac Studio M2 Ultra on Sonoma 14.4.1 with Daz3D Studio 4.22.0.16. And that is with Firewall inactive or active.
I do have NordVPN installed but it shows up if it is connected or not.
And I have LittleSNitch installed and I can see that DazStudio is connected to hpclscruffy.daz3d.com, but my CMS will not start.
Hope this helps as it got me up and running using SQLPro Studio.app on M1 Ultra running latest macOS
