Anyone Ever Use GamePrint?

in The Commons
I've uploaded 5 characters, messaged them through their website, messaged them through Facebook and it's now been over a week and not a peep. Are they out of business?

They were super active and responsive on the forums just after the plugin was released, but they've gone dead silent. I had a couple models made by them early on but would be hesitant to try now since they've become unresponsive. Here's a link to the main thread.
I have not heard anything from them either. I do not know what is up.
tdc, was there an automated response that they received the data? I had some things printed and I remember I got a link to a page that had status info, 3 steps I think it's been a while. An upload received should be acknowledged somehow. Also there is a chat box on the site did you leave the message there? I was super happy with the print I hope they are not failing or to busty for us Daz folks.
Is this possible? ;)

Oh yes, I've gone to Facebook, their website and texted them and left 5 emails. Does anyone know another place to get 3D prints? They can't be the only one out there, can they?
you did use the plugin to submit it?
just asking
I too was very happy with mine but sadly cannot really afford any more as much as I want them as have other needs like plumbing, electrical work, etc
In the past I've had decent luck getting a hold of them through their phone number. 1-650-425-7831
I uploaded a few files last weekend for fixing and everything went really well; this Sunday I tried uploading a couple of files for fixing and it accepted them, seemed to fix them, but after trying to pay through PayPal nothing was completed. The payments aren’t accepted, no emails from anyone, zip. I tried contacting them through their site and received an automated response that they’d received my message yesterday, but zip otherwise. I tried submitting another model last night, same thing.
If anyone has any links to the current methods for fixing models for 3D printing, let me know. I’m looking at home 3D printers now and while I was using them to create the STLs, it looks like its’ something I’ll need to do on my own.

+ one to this one. I'd love some tutorials for preparing stl's from DS models. I just got myself 2 3d printers and I can't wait to start making models, but they're so difficult to prepare. They're both different technologies and the models need to be prepared in different ways for each.
It's too bad, but understandable, that Daz won't allow 3rd party services to fix the stl's. Perhaps they should consider adding more companies into the fold since GamePrint is obviously overwhelmed at the moment.
They were extremely active here initially. Even though I bought the plugin but never ordered, I did follow along as they detailed their process and remember wondering how it could possibly be profitable for them. To be clear, I have no idea what about the current situation, just that what they documented was a crazy amount of work that goes into it, along with their hardware, proprietary prep software, etc.

Totally agree, they put a crazy amount of work into their products and, if anything, I think they underpriced what they were doing, even from strictly a man-hours-at-minimum-wage viewpoint. That said, I thought the simple, upload-fix-make-stl service was basically automated, which makes it surprising that I’m having trouble getting any done and only automated responses to email. I had four prints done by them and was lined up to have a mess of smaller models printed once they settled on pricing, but it’s turning into a very long wait...
I’m going to check with Makeprintable and see if it’s possible to use them directly — I think their pricing is decent and their Cura plugin looks promising.

Quick update:
1. GamePrint appears to be running again; I was able to get three models fixed this weekend, and I hope to have a few dozen more in the next few weeks. I purchased a 3D printer last and every model that they fixed for me has printed very well. I'm super pumped.
2. Makeprintable said that they could do the models, but they recommended going the Gameprint plug-in route for DAZ models as they say it does a better job and fixes more DAZ-specific problems.

Isn't against the EULA to send DAZ models to any online company other than gameprint who they have a license with?
I was checking with them because I believe they're all under the same corporate umbrella, Mixed Dimensions/Gameprint/Makeprintable. Had they said "yes', I had planned to confirm that the licence with GamePrint also allowed going through them but, as it turns out, that wasn't necessary.

The EULA says in the 3D non-commercial section
"art derived from the Content is permitted only for personal, non-commercial use by the User. Additionally, the user may not grant other entities or individuals the right to produce such physical representations of the Content except for the sole purpose of providing the print to the User for their personal use."
Which would seem to me like you can let them make the 3D print for you.
But you could just check back with customer support and open a ticket.
