You can reduce the size of the pupils with the Dilate morph.

Yeah! Thanks. I do know about the dilate morph. I tend to dial down the big anime iris look, but in Felix's caase he's probably an alien, so maybe they have big pupils. =-)

Joey for Genesis 8 Male is a cute redhead with some nice skinwork on the torso. He comes with a golden eyebrow option, and a painted on beard option.

Joey fills a much needed niche in the redhead category for males here at daz. I like the texturing on the arms and torso.

Con: Joey has noticible skin differences on the cleanshaven version on his upper lip. The texture lacks detail where the beard option is, and looks smoothed over and blurry. There are no freckles. At the very least, he should have some pores to match the rest of his features, and a few freckles, but its very unblemished there... And looks really smudged out.

I really like the dForce Coveralls and Tools for Genesis 8 Male, and especially the texture expansion. The initial product does look a little like one of Bruce Lee's gold and black martial arts outfits. I like the textures in the expansion set a lot though.

Here is Owen in coveralls. Paying omage to the fact, that Owen was supposed to go into the mechanics and robotic repair unit of the military, but a vengeful recruiter altered his orders, and sent him into the infantry. Fortunately, those skills come into play later in life when he gets partnered with Boyd as his Operator. Although he is not a robtotic genius like his grandfather, Owen is highly skilled.

Hudson looking great in his leopard monokini. No complaints at all about hudson. great Physique . Love those pecs. I like them rounded like his are. Nice fine hairs on his body add to the realism. Great figure, oh and his navel looks really good. Lately the nevels on some of the men  look kinda weird.

What do you think of the little Peter Pan collar on the coveralls?

I hate all peter pan collars. However, this one is so small I can pretend it not there. I think it would've looked good as a stiff neck collar.

HaHa, half  my shirts have fake Peter Pan collars that are 19th century to mid 20th century farmhand style but I didn't know they were called 'Peter Pan collars' til now. I actually like them, they don't fray or get in the way but are a practical style embellishment that successfully reinforces the collar area. Many bomber, sports letter jackets, and so on have some variant of that sewed-in fake Peter Pan collar style.

I think the collars that are problematic to me  are the wide flat ones that are used on outfits where  typically I would see a standing collar. Collars appear to be a challenge to make for some pas so they make big flat ones. This one isn’t big but I do own multiple outfits which have been ruined by strange flat oversized collars

The only thing worse, collar-wize, than a huge, flat painted one, is a huge, flat sculpted one. x(  Scalloped ones especially are my objet-du-hatred.

Very true! Flat painted on anything is usually pretty bad!

I have had a chance to test out a couple outfits from the Christian Pro bundle and so far I like them. This is the Dforce Alliance Defense outfit.

Alliance Defense Memo: the Alliance defense is under budget, so all soldiers male and female will sport the belly-baring window. Boyd is wearing the default texture and Owen has the expansion texture.

One thing I like about these pants is the clever waist band/belt area. That is different. This is a cute outfit. But The boys might wear it to a club, rather than into combat. There should be an option to cover the navel in cold weather!

Boyd likes to ride Bikes, so he will be wearing this outfit mostly I think.

I do wish the pants were a touch lower on the hips. The belt is prone to distortion but, I love the textures and the way it looks. I did not love the headwear So I left it off deliberately. The texture expansion offers a nice variety of clothing materials and patches.

Yep, the best part of budgetary restraints is the necessity to skimp on cloth yes

On the subject of headwear, the "do rag" that comes with Renegade for G3M is so much nicer than that biker one.

I knew I'd seen better do rags. I just tend to forget all the accessories included with older generations, and there are a ton. If I render this outfit, I will force Boyd's mod hairstyle into a scaf covered do rag. wink

Ok, I picked up the Ceejay bundle for G8M. You may not realize it, but this bundle includes a full suit of clothes, a really nice everyday guy hair  (I made Owen wear it) and a wristwatch whose hands can be moved!

For the clothing, the t-shirt is basic, the jeans are a bit painted on in some areas and a touch high water, but have some nice details with those back pockets.  I like the camp style shirt a lot, but you have to dforce it or it clings to the hiney. The watch autofits a bit small so you need to up the scale. The hair is excellent and has some nice texture colors.

I didn't need the character of Ceejay, so deleted  him, but I kept the content. Very nice.

I realized I have tons of products that I haven't used. Including like... 3 or 4 couples massage sets. So I decided to use one.

Oh hey, if you don't want the kid, I'll adopt him from you. wink (Yeah, no, probably not legal.)

I’d gladly donate him to a good home but it’s not allowed. I don’t render a lot of kids although Owen and Boyd’s kids will get rendered eventually.

Here is the new Dforce Retro Sweatsuit For Genesis 8.  I really like the suit itself. It is very reminiscent of sweats from my childhood in the 70's and 80s. It dforced pretty well on Owen.... On poor Boyd it shinkwrapped his pecs in weird ways giving him a c-cup. But you can reset the dforce modifier and the top fits looser.

One interesting thing is the laces of the shoes are an indvidiual prop. You might be able to parent the laces to other lace-less shoes.

    1. With dforce

    2. With dforce modifier removed on Boyd's top

I got the bundle as well and forgot to delete the character; in one of the t-shirt H.Material files (the black, I think) it changes your character to Ceejay's textures.  I still need to submit a ticket when I am not rendering Runtime Cards.

Thanks for commenting, I noticed that Owen got a tan at some point but wasn’t sure why. Now I know there was Ceejay attached to the shirt.

Bizarre! I usually just have material presets of Owen and Boyd saved so reapply them when needed.  I just assumed maybe I misapplied a clothing texture.

  • No problem- I found out because the H.Material turned my Gypsy guy blue.

What?!!! You deleted CeeJay? I actually bought the bundle because I thought he was such a cute little kid. And every now and then I come up with an idea where I need a little one. So I'm sure I will use him from time to time.

Oh, and I really like your work shots of Boyd and Owen,. Owen looks pretty dreamy in the jeans and T_shirt. What hair did you use on him?

Yeah, I deleted Ceejay. I only bought him for his included contents. devil

Owen's hair is.... Ceejay's. It comes with the bundle. I think it will make a nice civilian hair, for if and when Owen ever gets out of the army!

Here is the Sports Jump Suit for Genesis 8 Male(s) Front and back.

I really like the set. It fits well, and goes over the g8M gens. You will have to add a smoothing modfiier because none is included.

The only thing I wish that was a feature of this, was that the mat zone of the top portion would blend seamlessly into the bottom half. There is a different zone for the hip region, but I really want that top part, to v-down stylistically into the bottom half with a nice mat zone, so you can add a camo mat zone all the way to the crotch, and then make the sides kinda transparent. you could certainly do this in a photo-editing software program, but a the zones aren't setup that way.

Overall, looks great. Nice set for wrestling.

Convicted felons like Silas Kelly, Owen's grandfather, aren't allowed body replacement coverage under their insurance policies. The insurance companies actually don't care for this. It is easier to replace a client's body in many cases, than to pay for costly treatments, but the government feels crime should not pay, and so many ex-cons die every year- permanently.

Silas Kelly of does get a new body, anyway.. Being a resistance leader has it's perks. Plus that old conviction gets eventually dropped.

Silas could be best described as a tricker/ Drosselmeyer character. He is generally good, but has little regard for laws, or rules unless he agrees with them.  He likes to fix things, and never stops offering advice on how to make that happen.  He prefers to operate very low key, and has several disinformation bots on retainer, to spread rumors about himself. This disinformation, tends to deter the average person from catching on about his dual identity.

Silas shows up in the storyline now and then to give Owen advice, and eventually moves to the same town where Owen & Boyd buy a home to be near his grandkids.  He is mostly benign but there are times when Boyd and he come into conflict over method. Boyd initially understimates Owen's grandfather, like so many other people do, which is a source of amusement to Silas.
