Then there is this: https://www.daz3d.com/the-boardwalk-promenade-and-props ; which seems like the exact same set?

    Very confused.

That is just a texture set for the first one .

Whats weird about it though, is it includes the actual props. So its the same thing, with textures.

Okay, here is a kitbash of the promenade with other 'beachy' props including the lifeguard station and the Modular cove creation to add a bit more land to the promenade. I'm not sure how they get down to that cafe.... Though. Hah.

  • Here's a tweaked version of the pose. I used the freebie Snowcone made by Mal3Imagery for me  (Which totally rocks) and the fatbike.

I found there really was no detailed small promenade to use for the beach, and I really like stonemason's stuff, so I used the museum from urban future by stonemason, which has the best structure, and just made the building itself opaque. I think I'm going to do that more.

Stonemason's content is topnotch, why bother with other sets.

I really liked this one; and so glad I'm not the only one who bashes things into what I want!  Nice work!

Aww! Thanks. Yeah, I like the way it turned out. =-)

This is an interesting layer style which mimics the way a stiched on patch would look. It is easy to use, and you can use the output to customize your own clothing with letter patch style.

Of course you really need to find a good font to use these with.

I wanted to reprise my previous render, kiss in the forbidden zone, but changed perspective on it to be from Boyd's viewpoint. This pose will be included in my new Valentine's Pose set.

Running through my head, running through my head, running through my head...

Poor Owen, constantly in dire peril! laugh

    Hah yeah.smiley

I will have to remember to put Boyd in a jam next time. Although things that would bother Boyd might be very different....

I was intrigued by the idea of a scene where a character was leaning out over the water on a jetty or something, while someone was actually in the water.  So here are my two pose attempts. They are not perfect.... A Wip.

I don't build poses, so take this for what it may be worth: I think, if you're going to have the person on the dock with his elbows off the dock, then the entire front of the body, from the chest to knees, needs to be flat on the dock. Otherwise, they're so unstable that they're likely to just fall flat anyway -- or fall into the water. That also has the benefit of bringing their faces closer together more naturally.

Otherwise, if you meant to have the elbows on the dock, maybe a bit more curve in the back, so that the thighs are still flat on the dock?

Excellenf feedback. I’ll look into that.

Yes, that does look much more natural.

  • Serene NightSerene Night Posts: 17,647

Thanks! That may be the best I can do for now.

I  find that it is very difficult to pose the forearms in a way that twists the arms forward in front of the rib cage and then the arm with hand palm down.  The forearm twist in general looks really bad to me and always has, , but there is no way that I can see to loose the shoulder so the arm goes in front of the chest as it would if someone was moving their arm in front of their body to grip in this fashion.

So, I did recently pick up the Bunker Tunnel. And finally had a few minutes to check it out. Here is a live viewport image of what you're getting..... But wait... What am I seeing?

This is the iray preload, folks. Really spiffy.... Except looks like a private forgot to change the lightbulbs.

So yes, I went to the roof and added some emissive lights to the existing bulbs. Nothing fancy up there just flat panels.

The textures for the cement bunker look pretty good. Clearly this is a munitions area, since the shelves are mostly of the storage type. I'm not loving the light bulbs, and I'm slightly concerned about the lack of air ducts.

Additional props like this cot, can be bought separately.... But be warned, it doesn't load in any sort of order. All at zero. Don’t  expect comfort here mister! This is the army.

Bunker Tunnel Props include 7 props. (Calling this a pack is a bit of a stretch to me, because 3 props, are technically one prop in the form of the bucket and it's lid. Maybe mini pack?)

It includes a bucket, a parentable bucket and its's lid. A can for water, an ammo box, a cot and a gunrack.

What I like about this, is that two of these props are parentable to the hands the bucket and the ammo box. There are included hand poses.

Whats missing is what looks good in the promo. A rack full of guns, spilled ammo, and the like. This is basically 5 props bundled together. I would also like to see more textures. For example the ammo box, could've been made into a firstaid kit. It would've been nice if the cot had a blanket and a pillow.

Overall, like the idea of the props and the ones that are included are nicely made. I just want moar of them.

Thus concludes our tour of the Bunker Tunnel props and set.

This is the Freediver wetsuit and accessory set Sold here: https://www.daz3d.com/freediver-wet-suit-and-accessories-for-genesis-8-male-s

I think it turned out pretty nicely. Had a bit of trouble with lighting and the white fins.... White and I just don't get along.... But I added a very mild tint to them, and they looked less blown out.

There is no actual hood down morph that I could find. But you can make the head and upper neck hidden and just need to fix a few jagged areas at the neckline postwork.

I do have to add- there is an included watch in this set, that looks really nice.

Owen makes Boyd breakfast. On the anniversary of their first meeting.

I had a blast putting that spread on the table! But I don't like that table. No one can actually put thier legs under it, and goodies would fall through the giant holes in the top.

If you want to improve the table, You could try making a quick glass top by flattening a cylinder to about 3/8” and applying a glass shader and using geomerty editor to remove the bottom cross pieces.... although it looks perfect as is

That's a great idea. If I decide I can stand to look at it, I may do that. Thanks!

I really dig the look of these. Did you use a toon shader in store or postwork? Or some combo?

  • Serene NightSerene Night Posts: 17,647

It is a photoshop action sold at graphicriver.net but looks like they have taken it out of the store, as I went to my order history to get you the direct link and it states it is no longer for sale. crying. It was called grand theft action by greycells

too bad, it is one of the better toon effect actions I’ve seen.

Maybe a copyright issue with the name Grand Theft?

There's a set of actions available at Creative Market with a similar name, but a different vendor name. No idea if it's the same person, of course.

    https://creativemarket.com/creativetacos/3167398-Grand-Theft-Photoshop-Actions

Another set by a different vendor (I assume) at Graphic River: https://graphicriver.net/item/grandtheft-game-theme-effect-photoshop-action/22980822

I had looked at the other actions but this one produced the cleanest lines. It may be a little old though... It needs to be ran in an earlier version of photoshop. Here is a screenshot of the product. I’m glad I downloaded a backup. Graphicriver does not allow you to download purchases that have been pulled. Perhaps the vendor can be contacted.

One thing which is interesting is how it cartoonizes the background. This would be interesting for a simple comic.

I meant do do a quickie few pages featuring Owen and Boyd but you have to render very big if you want small lines and detail and I haven’t gotten around to it. Sorry the screenshot is grated out. That’s how the store makes pages for discontinued stuff.

The new texture released by leone for the H&C business suit is very nice. I like it better than the textures released with the product, since the tweed and plaid add some fabric depth and weight.
