lol. I do agree they are low hanging crotch pants. Something I rather like though. We have too many with the really tight crotches.
Here is Owen with Underbelly's strand-based chest and arm hair. I like the lightness of it. I was going to try the hair and beard... But The hair and beard have a rushed feel to me, and look a bit nazi-esque, so I skipped it, but it didn't have color options, which seems odd to me, unless they are located in a different folder or something.
What surprised me is that in the workspace, Underbelly's hair looks intense. To put it mildly. And then you render, and it's really only just about enough to notice. (I tried Dain's different density presets on him. Didn't work.)
And no, the color options don't seem to be in a different folder that I could find.
I agree the arm hair looks like a dense polygon before rendering.
i did use the brown color on Owen since his hair is a dark reddish browhn. It looks better on him than on Boyd. The blonde hair rendered witcher white when I tried to use it on him.
I couldn't recolor the beard or hair with shaders. The chest hair worked though,
I was able to recolor his hair with this: https://www.daz3d.com/real-hair-shaders-for-dforce-and-strand-based-hairs
Seemed to work. Now he's a fuzzy redhead! (well, technically, auburn, but it looks red).
Ah! Another product I Will have to buy someday. I have so many hair products for fiber mesh now, I can't justify buying something new, when the boys only have a little hair, and so far fiber mesh is working okay. I wil get it somedya though. Then boyd can have his blonde chest hair.
I highly recommend https://www.daz3d.com/real-hair-shaders-for-dforce-and-strand-based-hairs.... I think I know use it almost every time I use strand and dForce hair.
okay, they look good. I'll definitely get them when the price drops some.
okay, on the topic of poses. I tend to organize my poses so I can find them. I have many thousands of poses.
So I have pose folders for combat poses, poses with weapons, poses where a character is wounded, poses on bikes etc.
I haven't decided yet, how to organzie the filler poses that come with characters. Lately there are so many. I am not sure even what to call them. Mostly the charcter is standing there. Standing there with hands on hips, standing there shaking fist at sky, standing there flexing muscles. then the same pose is mirrored. I... Am just honestly not sure what to do with them. Maybe, I will toss them in a folder called: Uncategorized and leave it there.
Operation Arrowhead outfit... The pants... That groin... What am I looking at? Why?
Depends?
LOL. It looks better with replacement pants and boots. They just weren't that well modelled. I'll probably return this item though. It is too expensive to have to replace half the set.
Here I added Dzheng's pantz (2nd set), and the dforce Motorcycle boots outfit.
He has been more severely altered by aliens than even you knew...
LOL. Very true. HAH
Here is Underbelly at 50 percent with Underbelly, 50 percent Michael 8. I am using First Bastions very cool Camera Preset set. https://www.daz3d.com/1stb-camera-coverage--dialogue-scene-presets
If you haven't checked this out, this is very cool. A ready made set of dialog cameras, that you can use to pose your characters. Some of the cameras I don't use, but the closeups, the over the shoulder, and the others are great. The set includes 2 poses to position your figures. You can place your characters in the same positions in the scenes and just use different poses. The cameras will be angled nearly perfectly but you will need to adjust for the characters height. This is a great idea, and I'd love to see more like this. Particularly for a fight type scene.
More with the camera sets....
I have this in my cart right now, because the shoulder holsers seem better than ones that came with the Sleuth Dectective, what's your opinion on these ones? Do you think I'd be able to fit a different gun in them?
The holster has some adjustments which is nice it is designed for a small pistol. I will have to take a look if you can increase the size of the holster. I will let you know in an hour or two. I do like the turtleneck, the holster, and the accessories. It's just the pants and the shoes that don't work for me.
Thanks, I thought they looked pretty not good too, but I really want an updated shoulder holster.
I didn't realize he had two complete sets of everything down there!
More seriously, I'd been debating whether or not to get that outfit. It seemed like it would be workable to put it together from what I already have -- a simple black outfit isn't that hard a kitbash. It doesn't seem like it would be terribly hard to put together, and I do have the female version, which came with Josephene's Enemy Agent Bundle. I wonder why he gets a messenger bag and she doesn't? That's actually the only part of his bundle I kind of want for its own. (I do understand perfectly well why he gets pants and she doesn't, though. Insert epic eye roll .... here.)
@zombietaggerung I have the female version of Operation Arrowhead. The holsters are separate props. They load as part of the harness on rigid follow nodes, so can be rescaled. The tricky part is that you have to remember to take the gun out when it loads, if you want to use a different pistol, or it will scale the gun when you scale the holster.
Oh wonderful, that's good news. Thanks!
Well cool, looks like Vwrangler answerd that for you before I got a chance. Thank you.=-)
Hope it was helpful! I figured, from the look of the harness and holsters on Boyd that Sixus1 had done more or less the same thing that I did, cross-figuring the harness as a time saver. (I of course, crossfigured the entire outfit, because that's what I do.)
of course I Would expect no less! =-)
Owen and Boyd bot explore Stonemason's chinatown. Chinatown is one of the few Stonemason sets I can render entirely .
Boyd always has Owen's back. So much so, that Boyd can recognize Owen entirely by the back of his head. Hey it takes skill.
Why Owen has armor that lights up, in a stealth mission is... Artistic license.
Perhaps it is a wavelength that only Boyd (and Iray) can see.
I like that idea! We will go with that!
I really like the way you handle low-lighting images. They always look so cool!
A separate and unrelated question: is the messenger bag for Operation Overhead rigged? The product pages make it look like it can be opened. That might be the only thing that could get me to consider buying it -- as far as I can tell, it's almost the only messenger bag on the market, which is weird.
I don't seem to be able to open it. It does have a swing forward, swing back, and shoulder strap adjustment. I quite like it.
The only other bag, in the store comes with this set that I can recall: https://www.daz3d.com/day-at-the-office-outfit-for-genesis-3-male-s
Hmm. Wish they hadn't shown it being opened in the promos; that's kind of deceptive.
I have that other bag, but it's a hand bag/briefcase. It has a shoulder strap, but it's just for decoration, unfortunately.
