this is good to know! thanx
Carrara is awesome
yes we all know already
been struggling all day to get UV mapping on some bloody huge Incendia fractal exports for that DAZ iray program
Zbrush cannot even cope with unwrapping these 4million polygon obj's
Carrara? we don't need no stinking UV mapping!
proceedural shading no worries, texture map, projection mapping FTW
Wisconsin takes beer quite seriously. Our cold beer is freaking cold and we also drink imported beers that are meant to be consumed at room temp. I like both - though I don't partake as often as I should... being a Wisconsinite and all!
Best wishes to you Misty! Take it easy and recover well!
Carrara Freaking ROCKS!!!
the fractals
top 2 no uv, those shaders look exactly the same on ones at bottom with uv
Misty, speedy recovery to you!
Wendy, your fractals look pretty cool.
I prefer dark beer to pale ale - If we're stating preferences.
Mmmm!

Happy Canada Day to our Carrara-ists who celebrate.
Lager is always served cold, it's bitters I think (chohole?) that are served at cellar temps, sort of like white wine maybe. Most ales are also served chilled. At home husband drinks Newcastle Brown and there is a white star on the bottle that turns blue when it has been chilled properly. I prefer cider... like the Swedish ones like Rekorderlig Strawberry Lime. Yum!

OMG I love those Rekorderlig ciders

Bitter varieties, Mild and Guiness all drawn up from the cellar, Also draft Lager, Stout and real Ale if you have that on tap. It is quite surprising how cool the beer comes up. Some stored in barrels and some in Kegs. The real purists say keg beer is not as good as barrellled beer.
forum search sux. cant narrow it down to carrara
remeember that thread bout the pllugin wip to capture face animation pose from a video captur?
thnk you. first eye surgery is this monday.
in the next few months i have to go for a series of eye injections for macular edema. not looking forward to that ick
Good luck, Monday, Misty. Oh dear, about the injections. If it helps.... my elderly cousin got them for wet macular degen and says she did not feel them. Maybe this is similar? She was about 90 when she had them as well!
Yes, I hate that you cannot search Carrara only... you could in the old forum a few years ago. It really is annoying which is why I end up asking here if anyone remembers a thread about whatever I am looking for. Then I make sure to book mark it, and if really important (like your G3 work was) I copy and paste into a doc!

...and here I thought she was talking about Bitters - an 80 proof liquer that we use in Wisconsin to make Old Fashions with. Fun fact: Just North of me is an island called Washington Island. On that island during the prohibition, a phamacist declared that Bitters was a great stomach tonic, and was allowed to sell it to his customers in small doses - so he sold shots of it. It eventually became a bar/pharmacy, and now it's just a bar. It's the Bitters Club! To join the Bitters club one must down a shot of Bitters, wipe the inside of the downed shot glass with their thumb, and stamp the thumbprint in Bitters into the current Bitters Club book.
I'm in many of the books many times over - for I just happen to Love the taste of Bitters, even though I very seldom drink alcohol.
I add Angostura bitters to my cold tap water to make it easier to stomach
sometimes a bit of lime cordial too
Yep. I often use an internet search engine, like Google instead.

LOL!!!
I did actually try to use the Blender versions, but was too hard
I actually got a VWD sim to send back to Carrara on my Win7 after the intel openGL update
Some funky moves by that Carrara Wizard - glad you got it working Wendy !
that the thread!! thank you!!
My pleasure!
Wendy! Great job on the VWD Cloth!!! Bravo!!!
