I've been looking at my installed content, and realize that I have some content that I have never used in a render. My vow is to test out the old stuff and uninstall the stuff I won't ever use. =-)

What's some of the oldest stuff you have never used?

I find a lot are free things.. Like Emotiguy, Troglydyte horns, and Daz Gorilla and the mammoth.

I'm not saying these items are bad in anyway. =-) Just simply stuff I've acquired and not ever rendered. Well, that's er... Going to change now. =-)

Melody Hair is 70% off, and it has a nice range of motion for underwater scenes, it is the hair I used for the woman diver in my render. I'm always looking for hairs which move appropriately in wind, or environments. I don't like the helmety hair styles.

LOL Jindi, notice none of the rest of us are "fessin' up" about how many we've found. I'm stuck on 9. The last one is still eluding me.

The last one is fiendishly difficult.... assuming it's the same last one that had me tearing out my hair ;)

By the way, I like what you've done with Seymour's outfit. Very nice.

LOL. Jindi you are the only one who has claimed to complete the Underwater puzzler! Good work! =-)

So, polygon group editing, but it's 4:40am here and headed to bed. You don't happen to know how to do the D-form thing to add some mesh to the outfit I suppose? (hope, hope)

Afraid not. I've played with the polygon editor but not D-form.

I see what you mean about the top part not coming down quite far enough. I hope someone stops by who can help you sort that. I'll be taking notes!

Okay, I blame Novica entirely for me purchasing Nova, =-) when I should be saving for M6! But I have to agree with Novica that Nova is a great character and very versatile. Thanks Novica! I think she is quite possibly one of my favorite gen 6 characters.

I also picked up a few more new release and other goodies including Portrait Lights 2 http://www.daz3d.com/new-releases/portrait-lights-2 which is a new release. I missed it at 40% but I'm glad I picked it up now. A very great and easy to use set.

    This is light Number 5

I am using the polygon group editor and enclosing the entire top, and down 12 rows (if you select hip it will fill for you, and that is 12 rows.) Then I'll see what it looks like when I plop that same image (png of course) in there. I'll let you know how this worked Jindi. :)

I have done D formers before on a flat plane, but not clothing. Thanks for the clarification Jaderail. One video I watched was selecting the actual clothing, and as I mentioned, it will NOT let me do that. It says I have to have a "figure with geometry." I'll take a peek at that video you linked, hopefully it's not the same one I viewed because I can NOT select the wicked one piece. Won't let me.

BTW, CloudFare is keeping me off- it connects in Miami, then says it can't connect to the site. Jaderail, can you pass that along? The Floridians apparently have it from Miami, and Miami is failing miserably using CloudFare. It says the site is down, yet I see people posting from x hours ago (the exact same time I couldn't get on) so it must be a Southern thing? Could you access it about an hour ago?

Yeah, blame me- gladly if you like her :) I find her skin materials look good no matter what type of lighting is used- she is just a joy to render and looks good. (Seymour thinks so.)

I'm finishing up this polygon editing and will test it in a minute.

So far as the oldest thing I haven't used- all of it, lol! Some of the first things I got were the medieval village sets. And I did a render of the marketplace a few weeks ago. The other stuff is the millennium cat, dog, dragon. Haven't done dogs yet. It's funny, because I am still doing the downloading (todays the last day of my bandwidth usage) and in case you're interested, 5 pages plus 25 of the 6th page is about 20GB in case you're wondering. There were some big sets in there, medium sized, and small bytes, so that would be about your average. I can monitor that because ATT has a usage so I just looked for yesterday and the day before, and it was always between 19 and 20 each day.

I've seen this and actually wrote up a detailed PDF on it (have it somewhere.) The video I watched actually did it on clothes which is a lot different than a plane (which as I said, I've done, using this video.) You can use Parameters and move the base, but I couldn't figure out how to pull it / form it. I'll have to play around some more.

    D-Formers For Plunging Necklines
Okay, figuring this D-former thing out. I'm just posting my settings as I go hopefully you can use this as starting points for plunging necklines with a V.

    I'm doing Wicked One Piece.
This is the second D-former, to adjust the middle front. I didn't jot down the first one.

    The D Former
    Translations (X, Y, Z) are 0.49 / -3.82 / 1.15
No Rotations, Scales all at 100%

    The D Former Field
    Translations (X, Y, Z) are -1.57/ 116.21 / 10.59
No Rotations, SCALE IS VERY IMPORTANT
Scale is 1189% or 1248.6, either works. The larger drops the shirt down further.
    X, Y, Z Scales are 311.4 / 24.4% / 44.8%

The next one was on the left as we look at it, the D-Former XYZ translation was 0/-2.91/0
No other changes (scale all 100%, etc)

The D Former Field was THE BIGGIE.
    XYZ Translation: -5.58/116.59/2.92
    XYZ Rotation: 0/ 61.36 /-3.01
    Scale: 2125.6
XYZ: 100/ 100/ 209 (you really want it to flatten out and run along the hemline)

To close the deep v since you dragged it down: x scale to increase the size of the shirt, then x translate to pull the mesh over. Then use Y translate to pull down a bit and fit the breasts snugly. So this is for the deep V:

    D Former Field
    XYZ Translation: -7.02/126.37/8.48
    Rotate leave alone
    Scale 1222.3
    XYZ 100/ 47.6/ 83.6

    D-Former
    XYZ Translation: 7.17/-2.35/0
    Rotate leave alone
    Scale 104
    XYZ: 117.3/ 100/ 100

Okay, so then worked on the right side (as we view it) and this is how you bring the material over to cover more of the chest.
    D Former Field
    XYZ translation: 2.74/ 131.64/ 7.18
    Rotate Leave Alone
    Scale: 3172.1
    XYZ: 21.5/ 89.5/ 28.3

It's after 5am and I have to stop. Have a lot of images but too tired to post. Did screenshots of the progress, will post sometime today or this afternoon.

This is great. =-) Too bad they put the week 1 coupon code up on my page. I just changed it to 4 and it worked, but I was trying to figure out why I wasn't getting a discount. LOL

I think those 75% off items are PC/Value items but haven't been marked as such. Good deal if you haven't already got them.

Noticed that Bluebird's At home Poses are in fastgrab, Bluebird is one of last week's vendors so should be able to use coupon on top of it

Also Nightshift3d's store is on a 60% flash sale for a limited time.

Bluntly- this is getting confusing. You have to remember what you've used, what's the best way to approach buying now or later- should we wait for the 50% off the PC stores? I removed two things from my cart, if I am reading this right, any stores in the promo would be the PC stores?

I just got Archeron Pit which is 60% off in the Flash Sale right now, is $7.98 but remembered my $6 off from Week 4 code, so I got that thing FOR $1.98!!!

Thanks for posting the render of Nova. I was wondering what her legs and feet looked like. The promotional renders don't show any skin below her hips.

    http://www.daz3d.com/fast-grab-3d-models/empire-elegance
is Sarsa, who is one of the promo stores, so tier 2 gets 44% off of the 70%
    So it's $3.89 - $1.71 =$2.18

This is ridiculous. Every time I shop, I have a feeling I am missing something. And do remember, you can use your Week THREE discount code ($6 off, $2 off) until November 10th. Sigh- so I am going back into my cart to test it (you know how previous codes will autofill) to see if I've used it. I'm going to have to make a chart, I'm so dimwitted I can't keep up with what I've used and what I haven't.

Most of all, I HATE that I have to have so many teeny orders. You can only use one code at a time, so Archeron Pit had to be one order (to take off $6) then I had to use a different order for one more item (the one above) so two orders for just two products. Yuck.

Anytime you want to see more of a product, just ask us. Happy to oblige :) I save them all as scenes so it is easy to go back to it. Or if there's a product you'd like to see reviewed/showcased, let us know. I think between the two of us we have 5,000+ (or possibly 6,000+) DAZ products. And if you want to share a render of something you really like, feel free. Just be sure and state what you like about it or would like to see changed.

Nova reminds me of a Gia cross with other V6 models- she's very muscular and well built. Happy that my horse's namesake is so wonderful, lol!

I've been using my percentage off coupon exclusively on items that are already discounted. 44% is a nice discount but compared to the PA sale and the $10 off $40 coupon this isn't that great by itself. It depends on how they are doing the 50% off - is it a coupon or will the stores automatically discount when you log in?

It would have to be a code I would think- they probably can't put in a code to recognize the tier one vs tier two people upon login. So you'd have a section of stores (like they show now) and after you shop, input the code. Note they made certain you couldn't return any products you've already bought in the promotion once you used any benefits, so they saved Britney that problem.

I did figure out why they let us know now that we can get those stores for 50% in a few days- you would use the 44% on top of items that are discounted in those stores now that might not be in a few days.

If it's a code it won't stack with the 44% code, so if you're buying stuff already discounted you probably won't get a better deal by waiting. If you're buying stuff not discounted, you'll be best to wait until the 50% code is released.

Hola! So the big prize is a discount on M6. Well, that's cool, not feeling too bad I didn't buy more to make the next tier. I'm hoping though that the initial cost of M6 will be at a discount for PC members. Wasn't Josie like 44% or so off?

I find DAZ percentages to be rather confusing.

Right- I know I can only use one code, but what I am doing is buying stuff that is already on sale (40% up) then using my 44% code and getting that TOO.

Going to mention something in advance- I wanted this, and it is NOT on sale. But Flipmode was in Week 2. So for newbies, let me point something out- first, look at the material zones on this: (WOW)
    http://www.daz3d.com/g-suit-bodysuit-for-genesis

Each of those zones can be hidden (in Surfaces/Diffuse- turn opacity to zero.)

So what I am going to do is experiment and buy this: (it's 40% and I get 44% off that with my code, otherwise I wouldn't buy this. Not typically my style of outfit.)
    http://www.daz3d.com/elf-witch

and also this, same deal- http://www.daz3d.com/elf-witch-textures

and you'll see me put that bodysuit under it. I'll take out the zones that I don't want to show, put in a png image and change the bump map, and those chest surface areas will be textured. Just thought I'd point this out because you can get some cute outfits from Sarsa right now and use that bodysuit on (and get the bodysuit for 50% off if you are tier 2.) I'm sure Sarsa's items will go off sale before the 50% kicks in for the PA stores in a few days. Just guessing.

BTW, that outfit is fairly family friendly in back too. It may surprise you. And don't forget D formers can change that top, may be a bit tricky, but I'm on a mission now with D formers. You can scale the D former field and enlarge the mesh, making that coverage more extensive over the chest. It's a cute outfit otherwise (hate high heels but those are at least clunky heels, not thin spikes. Should be easy to manipulate. You know how shoes are in Genesis sometimes!)

Keep bodysuits in mind for skimpy outfits, you can make them VERY family friendly.

Well that was DUMB, didn't finish my thought. I am waiting for the 50% to buy the bodysuit. DUH. But getting the Sarsa stuff that's 40% NOW. Anyone else find stuff they wanted that will be the double discount? (on sale + get tier 1 or tier 2)

Hi SereneNight, welcome to the party :) Yep this is really getting to be a pain. Check week three...check week four...then knowing the stores are going to be 50%, what's on sale right now that has the sale + discount vs waiting....ugh, ugh, ugh. I've been shopping for two hours and it's a PAIN.

    http://www.daz3d.com/genesis-supersuit
This one will qualify for the DAZ ORIGINAL promotions, it's 40% off. Different zones though, you'd just have to compare the two.

The other one was this one: http://www.daz3d.com/g-suit-bodysuit-for-genesis

Anyone have either of these/ both and want to provide some input?
EDIT: The Genesis Supersuit has 300 materials, and the areas are shapes so you can do outfits. The second one is more elongated striped sections. I can see a use for both, but I already have the Supersuit so I'll give this a try. However, I am in the middle of my D-former so need to do some more on that too.

Edit: http://www.daz3d.com/supersuit-pro-suite is 40% (not a great deal IMO) but I got it when it was a really good deal- have never used it for pete's sake. Didn't realize I had it until I did supersuit search in my Product Library. So I'll explore it for you probably next week.
