Ah, "Brazil", funny, creepy, prophetic, scary, psychotic, love story in a dystopian future.  From director Terry Gillium.  The guy who gave you "Monty Python's Flying Circus", "Monty Python and the Holy Grail", "The Life of Brian", "Fear and Loathing in Las Vegas", "The Imaginarium of Dr. Parnassus", "Time Bandits", "The Meaning of Life", "The Adventures of Baron Munchausen", "Jabberwocky", "The Crimson Permanent Assurance", the 1995 version of "Twelve Monkeys", and many other equally strange productions.

Speaking of "12 Monkeys"..., there was a rumor going around in the late '90s after the movie came out that the monkey disease in the movie was based on an incident in a biological disease lab in Reston, VA just a few blocks from where I lived.  I drove past the lab every day on my way to work. surprise  The actual event was less dramatic. https://en.wikipedia.org/wiki/Reston_virus

What is it with weird diseases near where I work?  When I was in Melbourne, Florida in the '80s I used to drive past a little building on US 192 in Melbourne that held one of the biological labs associated with my college (Florida Institute of Technology).  It was the first place to successfully incubate the leprosy virus outside of humans.  Now it claims to be the largest exporter of leprosy infected armadillos in the world.  Perhaps a notable claim in certain circles but a little cringy for the rest of us. frown https://adastra.fit.edu/blog/campus/secret-history/rising-star-disney-comes-to-countdown-college-1983/
