beware of the cycle path killers, they don't ring the bell when the ride up from behind you
...and they won't necessarily see you as they're browsing the DAZ deals...
...happens all the time where I live, even on city sidewalks, they not only fail to warn you but many ride too fast. When I've asked them politely to slow down and give a warning next time the usual response is the middle finger salute or some sort of foul mouthed expletive. The screwy thing is unlike most major cities here in the States, Portland allows adult cyclists ro ride on the sidewalk even though they've spent millions making streets safer for cyclists. There are ordinances and rules, but nobody follows them.
We also have these electric motorised rental scooters (see below) which are silent and capable of up to 32kmh. that many tend to ride on the sidewalks as well even though doing so is prohibited. When finished riding people often just leave them right in the middle of the sidewalk as there are no docking areas like we have for the local bike-share service.

.
they can ride on footpaths here too and dominate them
Could be nasty if your walking cane should happen to get caught in their spokes.
....I've thought of that.
What's really bad are cyclists with one of those trailers behind the bike that take up pretty much the whole width of the sidewalk (which I see with some frequency in the area of town I'm in). Glad I don't need a walker or mobility scooter (yet).
the mobility scooter riders scare me
...never had much of an issue with them except at the market as they tend to take up the entire width of the aisle. particularly the ones the stores furnishes as they have a large basket on the font
at certain times of the day about 4 of them that head down the street I walk to the shop occupying the footpaths each side leaving one with nowhere to go except to wait in a driveway until they pass, they will wiz out onto the road to overtake each other too so that is even unsafe.
they are very selfish and don't care if it's an old person hobbling along they have right of passage, all are younger than me too presumably disabled but they are not totally crippled as seen them get off their rides in the shopping centre to get stuff, they are hefty in physique though
I was "that person" once. At Universal Studios in Orlando I rented one of their "Personal Mobility Vehicle" (mini-golf cart type thing) to be able to survive the day. In the Harry Potter area I discovered the entrance to Nocturn Alley. I cruised down this dark (really dark, almost lightless by the time I got to the end) alley which was nice and wide at the beginning but when I got to the end, there was a light and an open door off to my left. I headed for the open door and found myself in the back entrance to the "Borgin & Burkes" store with tight little aisles filled with people and then discovered that my vehicle wouldn't reverse well and there was now a line of people behind me coming in the door. Somehow I managed to maneuver that vehicle around several 90 degree turns in those narrow isles and make my way to the front entrance and back onto the street. I was actually capable of walking enough to have parked the vehicle outside and examined the store on my feet but having unwittingly gotten into the situation, I just stuck it out till I'd resolved it, ignoring the mumbling and grumbling around me. Embarrased? Yes, but old people give less of a shit about that type of thing.
Some more than others...
another gears song lol
Freedom Williams (the lead vocalist in that video) seemed remarkably similar to Ice-T at the time, at least to me. Like they could have switched the two and probably nobody would notice for a day or two.
freedom has some fascinating ripples on 'is physique

...hmm sounded like he was getting a little hoarse there near the end.
Speaking of emotional support hoirses horses, there is actually some truth to that.

What if it's an octopus...?
Sometimes they don't want to let go... seriously, have you ever tried to pull an octopus off of someone?
When I was a kid, my brother's friend thought it would be fun to take a picture holding an octopus too close... it took three people to pry it off and I'm pretty sure it only let go because it lost interest.
They can be really clingy, and if they decide they are going with you, they are going.
Horses make good support animals. Most can support a couple of hundred pounds easy.
the one with the support cockroach was concerned about having his pet squashed into the cargo hold
The problem with a support cockroach is that while you're not looking it turns into a family.
who can forget the image of juandissimo magnifico covered in cockroaches. x.x
Am I a thread killer? Why yes, yes I believe I am. However, the trouble is I can't always remember what I said, where. So, if I can't find what I said, then I assume the thread must be missing. And then I wonder "did I do that?"
