Ok.  Can you try manually uninstalling it? Then reinstall manually?  Im absolutely convinced it is a corrupted dowload/ install.

To manually uninstall  You will need to find these folders and delete them:

My DAZ 3D Library : data: Chevybabe25: Beautiful Brows

My DAZ 3D Library :  People:  Genesis 8 Female : Anatomy : Beautiful Brows

    My DAZ 3d Library : Runtime : Textures: Chevybabe25 :  Beautiful Brows

Then manually install by downloading the zip from your account here -   unzip it to your DAZ 3D Library

Now I done that but it is the same! Why do you think it works with the default Genesis?

If it works with the default genesis 8  then it shouldn't be a problem with any other characters.  How exactly are you using this?

I don't use Daz Connect, but I have read many posts, since it was implemented, about scripts not running as expected when installed with Daz Connect. As I understand it, scripts often times need things, (files?) to be in specific locations in the library structure, but Daz Connect stores everything in it's own library with a different structure. (That's vague, but I admit I don't really understand how Connect works.)

Anyway, whenever a script fails to work correctly when installed via Connect, the easy solution is to uninstall via Connect and reinstall, either with DIM or manually.

There are methods, as shown in http://docs.daz3d.com/doku.php/public/software/dazstudio/4/referenceguide/scripting/api_reference/samples/general_ui/display_document_dynamic/start for example, that can handle scripts running in the /Data/cloud/1_SKU folder. The big thing to watch is that any output from the script should go in a user-writable content directory - if you want a deefault, rather than to ask, perhaps use DzContentMgr ( http://docs.daz3d.com/doku.php/public/software/dazstudio/4/referenceguide/scripting/api_reference/object_index/contentmgr_dz ) to get the first content directory in the list - though I'd prefer to ask the user for a path (or let them pick a content directory from a list) and then store it as a user setting.

One way to get around is to apply the brows on Default and then change the shape of the characters but soon you apply the shin material of the charaters it will be double brows.

I just said good night here in Sweden!

@attfara_9c7bd629f0  I do not understand.  How exactly are you using the script? Can you write down the details please?

After I load the default genesis I use the script to take away the brows and then apply the brows I like.

Ok.. So I am confused.  If you can make it work with Genesis 8, what are you doing after that?

I belive for awhile I go on with Shin builder, if I remeber right, the brows does not disappere. So I can have a skin that I like, but I try to avoid other charaters skin. Now I said good night!

Hi, I found a work around, I use Shinbuilder to take away the brows, then apply the new brow with your brows!

    Hey there :)

    1. Create your character and all dials

    2. Add your brow shape and choose a material ( the materials that came with these are also distributable) Fit to the generic G8 Figure ( not your morph )

    3. Rename your brow  - So that it isn't a generic brow name in your scene.  Run transfer utility.  Click on the show options to select the content type. Transfer from Genesis 8 Female to Your Brows.

    4. File: Save as: Support asset: Figure/ Prop Asset - and save to your anatomy folder / People: Genesis 8 Female: Anatomy: Your Character.

    5.  Remember to include all data files when you pack up your character:  Data: Your vendor name: Product name

Customers have to load in the brows.  They will not just load attached to the figure.

Loading in as a character preset requires an extensive knowledge of studio.  Im more than happy to help with that via IM with this but I will not be able to troubleshoot should you miss steps.

OMG god bless you, you just became a goddess in my heart, I've searched high and low for how to use them, I just bought them and they are amazing thank you so much for making them a merchant resource! *hugs* you solved my brow problems forever.

Can these be used as merchant resources for later Genesis characters, like G9, or will we have to wait for your next Beautiful Brows release? wink

Yes! You can use these or the second set if they work for you properly on Genesis 9 :)

  • Thanks!
