I'm back with a new and better render of my 5 year old girl. She has new hair (Taylor Hair), some Aiko5 added to her head, some breast morphs to flatten her as much as I could. (They are developing early these days, but I don't think it has come down to 5 yet!) Oh yes, and she has some freckles thanks to Zev0's skin overlays. Thank you all for your suggestions.

And with the wonders of Genesis 1, she can be a 5 year old girl one minute and a 5 year old male Muck the next! I'm not sure you can tell that Muck is young here, but I gave it a shot. I mixed Justin head in to help, but it didn't make much difference. So here is my little Mucklette pulling weeds.

That is better! She looks a bit of a tomboy and doesn't seem to enjoy weeding the flowerbed at all.
    Very believable character.

I have one solution for the "early development" problem. Here I started with the basic grey Genesis figure. Then I used the Head only slider for the Basic Female (no reason to give her a female body if she's gonna be 5 - the generic Base Genesis is fine) and used the Growing Up 5 year old preset.. Then I added the skin, clothing and hair, gave her some freckles with Overlays, posed her and gave her a smile.
Then I used Dental Plan to shrink her teeth by 10% to make them look like primary teeth - oh and look! One fell out...well when you're 5 that'll happen.
    Meet Cindy. :)
Hope this gives a helpful way to start making children of your own.

This was supposed to be a quick render but took longer than I expected.

Thanks...I just played in the parameters. There's a bit of Kimberly and Mavka with the young full body morph. Heads only though...

I promised Zev0 I would try to get some time for renders on this, and here is one of my efforts. I posted this in the render contest thread as well, so if you see it twice, I apologize ;)

Thanks Tarina:) And that is a really fantastic render.. Very nice lighting. And yes, I definitely plan of discounting the G2M version for those who have either the G1 or G2F version. Couldn't discount the G1 version for owners of the G2F one because it would have clashed with the PC discount system and was hard to implement.

Thanks! When I get a chance later, I'll render the "old only" and "young only" variants of this character...should be interesting.

She looks cute and very believable, well done! :) I think the hair looks better as well, more fitting for her age.
Agreed. And I like yours too, Tarina. Everyone's showing some really nice work!

Thanks for that - I snapped up both the G2F and the Gen1 versions on their first days out, so I'll look forward to the G2M even more, then!

"Older" is the exact same character, but with the Growing Up morphs removed.
"Younger" features Growing Up (of course) but has the Aging morphs removed, the standard Face Young morph added, and some texture changes.

Edited to add: my concept behind the original image is that it represents an old man who is (metaphorically) experiencing a "second childhood" near the end of his days. Aside from the Zev0 products used, he's basic M5 with M5 Elite Dave skin. The young boy shown here uses Jesse for Justin skin.

Those two are very good. I Like the softness the faceweight morphs gave the faces there. Very Nice:) That black on the texture by the nostrils, is that burned on the diffuse? I normally use the clone stamp and make it the same colour as the rest of the nose colour since lighting will create the needed shadows and auto darken it. EG the nostrils on the older person is much better, and on the Kid it is too black. Pretty sure that's a texture thing.

Scott, that is an interesting character study. I particularly think you did the aging skin displacement very well. I haven't achieved that level of skill with that yet. Did you make adjustments to the displacement strength or other changes to get that realistic look? So far, I seem to overdo it when I try.

Here is a quick one from me using AoA Ambient Lights. Young Aiko, Azumi and Benjamin.

I love your morph sets Zev0, keep them coming. : ) I hope that there will be a discount on the Growing up for G2M though, (if and when it comes out^^) since I have already bought both G2F and Genesis sets... Probably should have waited for the bundle deal to come along...

But what I really wanted to say is: Thank you for another great product! :)

...very sweet. the little one is incredibly cute.

Cindy is cute! I have the Dental Plan morphs now, so I'll be trying a similar picture of my girl, now that I can open her mouth and get young teeth. Actually, I don't have kids, so my idea of "young teeth" may not be truly age appropriate, but they will make me happy.

Pendraia, who's your cute girl made from? I can't place the face. Interesting hair, too. It has a nice texture. Did you make it yourself with one of the hair creation tools?

Wow, I've fallen behind so quickly. So many cute pictures have been added. Slosh and Tarina Kivi, I especially like the posing you've done with yours, especially the little girl in the middle, Tarina Kivi. You've done a nice job with the different ages and skins, too.

@Zev0: thank you...I noticed the nostril thing too, but haven't explored why it's happening or potential solutions yet.

@barbult: yes, I set displacement for the face at 55% I believe.

    Still playing with different combinations...

Open the face diffuse map in PhotoShop (or an image viewer), and look at the nostrils. If its painted in black, there is the problem:) Just paint them skin tone IE clone stamp from areas around it. Posted a quick example.

Thanks...don't have time to make the fix now, but I checked the image and that's exactly what the problem is. Will take a look in GIMP later.

I'm really late in coming in on this thread, but thanks for another fantastic set Zev. Between your and Thorne's sets, I'm at the point where I'm primarily buying vendor characters for their skins now.

So...er... what are you going to do for an encore? Something to mimic collisions for the hands and other soft body parts would be pretty spiffy...
