I only bought the Josie base and now see that I didn't get a point for her but she is also not featured on the page of point items, so I will be returning her.

I didn't buy her, for that reason. I didn't like feeling like I was being pushed into buying a bundle, just to get a point.. I was surprised that you get only 1 point for the Josie pro bundle. I thought they might give multiple points for something so expensive.

May be kind, but true none the less .... I have your store bookmarked for purchases down the road, as well as for keeping an eye out for new stuff. I'm pretty sure that 80% of what I have already bought in background stuff has been yours. I would never have been able to get so much background stuff without your sale.

Really do appreciate your sale, I know these must cut into a vendors profit margin in a major way, Human nature makes us quick to complain about what is not there .... (perfect example is me :red:) but we forget to say thanks for what the vendors are doing ... so THANKS!

But I noticed after my purchases today the power point meter isn't working, Josie and millie do get bonus points correct?
Yeah, DAZ's been notified through both official and (evidently) back channels. I think they probably have a tool which goes through and syncs everybody up semi-regularly, and it probably just plain broke as folks bought Josie in swarms.

In any case, I'm thrilled to get TJ, and it'll be a lot of fun to build scenes with her and genepool variations.

To the folks who had issues with David 5, he was so incredibly much more a 'real' person to me than M5 was it's hard to overstate. I know zero people personally who have a body shape that M5 transforms to easily (those thighs, my GOD!) but D5? Yeah, I can work with that and make real people out of it.

The D5 Pro Pack was decent, but I think they've gotten better at Pro Bundle's since then. Still, the starter also came with Neo, which was an excellent character.

    -- Morgan

I assume this means that I need not panic, that was quite a bundle to spend first day into Week 3 to not have my points count.

So point blank is .... will my purchases for Josie stuff count or not count? Because if not they really have to go back. My budget took a huge hit on this first day sale.

EDIT -- Another Duh moment, was not logged into the store so naturally my points did not show! But damn I'm glad I am a PC member the prices for not being one would have obliterated my budget! What I paid was rough on the budget, prices for non members is OUCH.

Guess that's why it's called a Platinum Club Member sale!!!

A personal review. Week 2 was a rather good sale. I bought enough to make Tier 2 (luckily; I was foggy on what was the last day). But Week 3 begins with a downer. I've been dragging my feet on Gen 2 stuff (I love the universality of Gen 1; nothing would make me happier than to see serious continuing support for Gen 1). I bought the Gen 2 support model for Genesis 1 a while back, but only so I can get the occasionally nice item of Gen 2 clothing. Josie? Not useful for what a lot of people want to do. I've already bought low-priced sale things that I wasn't excited about for $1.59 just to stay in the game, but money spent for Emotions for Teen Josie would be money lost. The character-themed starter and pro bundles in Week 3 are full of repeats from Week 2, and, anyway, I've had them (or most of what I wanted from them) for months. Why weren't subject- themed bundles offered this time instead? We are offered David's bundles in Week 3, but I don't have them already because most support items in them lack broad usefulness, making David look like a fashion model or urban show-off. The $6 would be nice, but buying one $6+ item that one doesn't want just to make Tier 2 would more than negate it. The 44% discount on so many of Daz's fine artists is also a good thing, but a lot of people must have bought all they could afford of these same items in September's super sale. Whose discretionary budget has so soon recovered from such a long buying frenzy?

What is the Mosquito in Tier 1? There is an existing mode of that name for $1.99, and it really is an insect. That can't be what's being offered this time as an incentive. And the Portello of Week 3? It doesn't show up as an existing model, so how can it motivate a person to spend money? (I still don't know what the Fantasy Fighter of last week was, but if it disappoints, I can at least use Aiko 5 Pro.) Since we don't know what the awesome secret prize will be at the end of the whole sale, it doesn't really work as an incentive. To inspire people to try for it, we should know what we are striving to get. Let us all breathe easy that at least it won't be Josie.

And what is with the Fast Grabs lately? There hasn't been much change in them for more than a week. I got used to the idea of them changing every day, and learned to buy accordingly.

On the upbeat side, the 1950's sale offers many things that I have wanted, especially Moonshine's, and I sent in an order for 20+ items. It's a pity though that Moonshine's is not a modern diner. I want to learn DS to illustrate stories and it would be pleasant to use Moonshine's without a character having to say, "Wow, I love the retro look of this place." In how many stories can one do that? As an aside, who decided that the 1950's would be so well covered? A rather peaceful era, it's really somewhat forgettable. Many Daz3D customers are action-oriented and one would have thought that the war and gangster era of the 30's and 40's would have been more popular. Hopefully tomorrow's selection will be so good that this customer can painlessly make up for not buying a Power Point item today.

I agree with much of what you said:

Week 1 was great, Week 2 good, Week 3 is starting off not so good.

Josie, no money for her now regardless of what generation. Makes today's PC item useless for me.

100% agree with you on David. Can't get into that stuff that is in the David bundles. Was really disappointed in the direction DAZ went with David 5.

44% discount does me no good as I am out of money and last months deals were better (which is why I'm out of money!)

Fast Grabs - Is DAZ abandoning them. Lately it seems like it is the poor stepchild that you give the leftovers to, after the rest of the family has enjoyed their meal.

I like the fifties. I was born then. It was the last family friendly decade. Gangsters (and pirates) are not cool! I am sick and tired of them being romanticized. They are evil, evil people. I hope I am dead before terrorists get the same treatment. End of rant. Sorry.

I do believe tomorrow will be a better day (PC wise.)

I too felt kind of let down, they could have at least replaced the Michael & Victoria with different Daz bundles.

So once again I have everything but the last items in each list, which name wise don't make me picture anything that would be useful to me. And really hoping the listed mosquito is not the bug that comes up with a search .... that would be really sucky for those of us with only that option as a reward. **Sigh**

The only saving grace for me is that I am getting a lot that I would not otherwise be able to afford. Gotta try to find that silver lining.

Well, that's me very likely out of the running to hit this week's Tier 2 — if there's much more TJ6 stuff over the next few days I'll have to struggle to find sale stuff to buy. Was it a good idea to release a new figure like this right in the middle of the PA sale frenzy? I haven't bought anything yet for G2F, so I can't really even justify getting the Emotions outfit just to help my points total. Just have to wait and see what turns up over the next few days...

The emotions outfit works on the free basic Genesis 2 female. I haven't bought any of the G2 characters (V6, Gia, Girl6, etc.) either, but for $1.59, the outfit was worth it for the point. Otherwise, I would have passed it by.

I already have all the Gen 5 bundles so the prizes for this week aren't appealing. I haven't bought into Gen2 so there is nothing for me to buy and no real need to collect points.

Jack and Firefly, thank you for your responses back on page 21.

I see the Teen Josie 6 pro bundle is greatly marked down today, but I am trying hard to imagine how I might use her. Of course, the sale goes by after today, right?

Day two of Week Three and more Josie? Cruel. Actually, the free item today is the most interesting product offered. I'm usually a sucker for poses, but the poses offered for Josie so far disappoint. The dance moves aren't graceful, the bubble-blowing is so specific as to be non-useful, and the Cool Teen Josie Poses make her look like she's performing as a mime. It's going to be hard to make even Tier 1 at this rate. Fortunately, there's nothing I need in Tier 2. If I knew what "Portello" was I might want it, but when I search for the name, all that comes up is Mortella.

How does that Awesome Surprise Prize work? Does one need to make Tier 2 every week? If we knew what it is, we might try harder, hard enough to take even an item or two of Josie, providing the prize was worth the cost.

It's just one more item for Josie ... the textures for yesterdays PC clothes.
The rest is just an exception of the one day rule and lets the Josie items run two days at the additional 20% off price.

Todays new items are the poses
    http://www.daz3d.com/new-releases/intriguing-for-genesis-male
and the Medieval Morphing Dress (yes, unfortunately Gen2Fem, but not Josie)
    http://www.daz3d.com/new-releases/medieval-morphing-dress

And I think it is very nice that the freebie is giving a powerup point.

Awesome surprise is tiered (sorry, but it is like that):
a simpler version for those that made it to Tier one in three of the four weeks
a bigger version for those that made it to Tier two in three of the four weeks

The only problem I have with yesterday's PC item, is that the character I would love to put them on is a Gen 1. Oh well, time to start playing with G2F I guess.

Interestingly, the Jose Pro Bundle is 66% off but the Starter Bundle is only 51% off; which means the Starter Bundle is only a couple of dollars cheaper than the Pro Bundle, Was the extra 20% kept for the Starter Bundle? Also I see there a couple of other items from yesterday that are now only 30% off rather than the 44% they were yesterday.

But they are all G2F-only. I've got exactly one point so far this week — for the Intriguing Poses. If there isn't more stuff I can actually use in the next few days I might not make Tier 1 for this week, never mind 2.

Well I guess I don't feel so bad, my sentiments appear to be shared amongst others here.

Josie's cute and all, but man, she's a "secondary" character at best for me. You know, maybe good for a one-off "girl and her dog" type of work, but not a whole, erm.."expose at the dance studio" or "all about Josie sneaking out when her parents are asleep" treatise.

At this price, I might be inclined to clean up with her if I had a bunch of other stuff already and I had $50-60 to burn, but...I don't know. Sigh, I wish there were other, more enticing content items up first.

OK, that's it ... I am not happy now.

"This week is over, no more new releases"

Each week went to the monday of the next week, this week is over after 3 or 4 days?????

    UNHAPPY!

As it is I don't even make it to Tier 1 this week ... there are not exactly many items on the week 3 page and most are expensive ...

    :( :( :(

I'm not sure I understand. I just went and looked and there are new releases. A V4 character, poses for V4, V5, and V6, Plants, a new outfit and a lot of textures for the Josie outfits.

Week 2 is over, but we are in week 3 now. You have until end of today (17th) to catch up on old week 2 purchases, but week 3 was and is already underway with new items.

I'm confused. You have until the end of the 17th to pick up items for Week 2. Which ran for 7 days. Week 3 has just started yesterday, which will run for a further 7 days. The usual overlap will then apply so you can pick up any items from this weeks when Week 4 has started.

I saw 2 items that would be suited for the carnival categorie:
    http://www.daz3d.com/lovey-bear-re-energized-1

The bear is an item that is on the required carnival preset list

And the carousel is also still 1.99

    Thanks for this categorie sake.
Now I can make my set complete!
