I've pretty much finished with the 'ring' for Spacebones cornfield pano..

This is using Ethin's cornstalks in the foreground.

I should be able to upload later tonight or tomorrow morning.

That looks really good. I think I would try a lot more instances, but looking good! Now you just need a scarecrow.

I was doing it to test the ring...not make a detailedfield.   Spacebones' pano works quite well as a backdrop...he even includes a transparency map to match, so you get the 'sky'/Iray dome showing over top.  I should have the ring up in less than an hour...

And with creative scaling other images can be used.   I tried it with the Wikipedia Seatle skyline pano and sized it up (a lot) and worked nicely.

mjc, my request seems to have prompted a burst of creativity on your part! Thanks for creating a pano ring. I have a tiling toony forest texture that I made [plus alpha] that would work extremely well with this.

The only free one I know of was by Mapps and that website is no longer available. I was able able to find the website via the WayBack Machine (https://web.archive.org/web/20070506151818/http://www.freewebs.com/mapps/downloads8.htm) but unfortunately the WayBack Machine didn't have that particular file archived for dpwnload. So, unless you already have it it seems to be no longer available. If you want to check your computer for it, the file name was Mapps_PortaPot.zip

ETA: After much searching I found this free one over at Turbo: http://www.turbosquid.com/3d-models/free-port-potty-3d-model/549339 It is in 3ds format so it will have to be converted either with another program such as Blender or with on an online conversion service such as the free Greentoken service( http://www.greentoken.de/onlineconv/ )

Would anyone know of a good realistic looking scary jackolantern? I'd like to find 1 that can be scaled really big & have a person or something inside it but looking like coming thru it's mouth lol. (I'm warped lol) I have this Pumpkin Lanterns which might work but textures in promos give a kinda toony feel. Or would anyone know of any more realistic pumpkin textures that'd work on those?

It looks like you could do that with the one you linked to by simply chinging the transparency map. From the description:

 a template for the transparancy map that controls what the clock's readout says is included.

I ... am trying to find (since apparently I can't *make* - yeah, need to put time into learning modeling) an ice floe. Searching on "ice" gives me all sorts of "nice" and "rice" and "mice," as well as shaders (will be useful) but not a nice, simple, preferrably flat chunk of ice.

(And not a cube... I'm basically looking for a piece of floating ice, flat-ish top, for an ice-based character to float on while relaxing in a pool. This is surprisingly hard to find.)
