Was looking at that again. It would seem the dragon has more expression than the girl.........typical model.

As an old bumper sticker I once read said, "Do not mess in the affairs of dragons; For you are crunchy and taste good with ketchup."

Thanks for your comments Jay. Nothing like the standard of your work but I'm having fun, which is the main thing.
My main problem is lack of sleep due to the "I'll just tweak this so I can render it while I'm in bed, oh damn I need to do that as well " syndrome.

That happens to me all the time. Next thing I know, it's 10-11 in the morning the next day.

Thank you John I really appreciate your kind comments about my work. I agree having fun is the main thing. I really like the fact your images tell a story and the lighting and posing is really well done. I know what you mean about the lack of sleep and the constant tweaking of the images. It becomes a bit of an addiction! Still great fun though

Cheers and looking i'm forward to seeing more of your work

    Jay

I'm feeling the pressure now Jay :-).

I'm at a bit of an inspiration block with Dragon, and his mates, currently but I'm sure something will emerge. Dragons and Driods seems an interesting concept to explore perhaps.

I think 4:00 is my worst so far :-). The trouble is that when you go to bed your mind is so full of thoughts that you then lay awake for an hour....Smart phones and Nexus don't help either.

He he yeah a dragon and droid concept would be very different but actually could be a cool idea. I know what you mean though there's nothing worse than going to bed with a head full of ideas!

John, maybe a dragon spitting a droid leg out with an "this tastes horrible" expression?

    That could be quite cool.

I recently picked up Marauder for Genesis and am playing with the thought of using a dragon as an attack dog for a group of Marauders looking for my "Vault Rustler" heroin. The search team would also include driods.

It is liable to be quite a large and complex scene so probably best composited.

I like dragons and droids as baddies because it avoids portraying conflict between humans.

Well I didn't get any Droids in but I quite like my attack dragon.

Straight render using AoA's volumetric camera, ambient and advanced spotlights. I didn't really achieve the exact look I was going for but am, non the less, happy with the result.

Been a long time since I played Dragons as almost all of my rendering gets done in 3DS Max now .... and I didn't have a converted dragon as previous attempts saw the poor dragon explode, implode and generally look a complete mess. It's all sorted now though.

I love the idea of that Attack Dragon image John. Brilliant concept in mixing modern warfare with an ancient species. The thick atmosphere really helps sell the image.
I like how the dragon is just almost eyeballing the photographer in the last image. Literally jumps out the frame

    Excellent work!

Thank you for your comments Jay, they are very much appreciated (particularly so considering the stunning quality of your work). I am very pleased with both images for exactly the points you raise.

In the last image - particularly at size - I find it difficult to take my eyes off those of the dragon (despite the other distractions).

Dragons are great fun to use in a render, and have a lot of flexibility. I also like the way that, by including a dragon, an image of a girl which would otherwise be non PC becomes entirely acceptable because it is Fantasy (rather than fantasy. ;-) ) I don't have your very special skill in portraying a Fantasy world so my attempts at Fantasy Heroines end up looking like an S&M dominatrix otherwise :-)

this is really a great render john :) I like how the off set and different color of the shade of under the water it makes it seem very realistic

Thanks, it tickled me as a concept. It was all done in DAZ without anything clever. The refraction in the water is exactly as it comes "out of the box". The swimming pool set asset came as a freebie with one of the Genesis 2 swim suits - the one with the mesh down the front IIRC.

Thank you for the compliment about my art work John, I really appreciate it!

Yeah I agree, there's always that fine line between what is acceptable in a PC environment and I think you handled it well in that last one. Seems to me that Daz appears to be turning a corner and hopefully getting a bit more credit for helping (definitely people like me with basic art skills) a chance to develop artistic. I saw a tweet regarding a latest copy of Heavy Metal magazine where the cover was done in Daz, Vue and P/Shop, which was great to see.

Your artwork and other great artists like Szark, Stonemason etc are really helping disprove the myth that all you need to do in Daz is drop a figure into a scene and hit render!

Seriously though, that Attack Dragon concept would make for a great story series!

Moving with sci fi dragons. Difficult not to get caught up in the whole Alien vibe.

Very nice atmosphere to this piece, though it is very hard to see the dragon.
