Hide and Seek
Daz Studio 4, GIMP
Model's V4, Pterodactyl
V4 is hiding in a little cave while the Pterodactyl is searching for her, she thinks she is safe, but is she really?
I did a little post work in GIMP because I was having trouble with some pixelation on the edges of V4.
I was having trouble with getting the shadows just right, either she was too much in shadow or not enough.
If you pan back you can see that the Pterodactyl is not exactly anywhere close to the wall, but from that perspective he looks like he is close.

Well thank you guys. Gosh it was no trouble at all. I know that when I ever asked for critique that I was always glad to have it. Just paying forward. I did say I would help out with the new format for the newbies and I will do so again this month if you have a work in progress thread. I learn a lot from this process as well. Trains my eye to see better.
Congratulations to the winners. I really enjoyed working with the entrants on your pieces. It is amazing what you all did through the process. Good work done by all.

Well done Sasje and sweetluv40, and a big thank-you to all the friendly folk who take the time to help others.
Wow, thanks! with the other renders in this competition, I knew that 3rd was the best I could possibly manage. For the members who entered this competition, but haven't been mentioned, I think you guys did really great! This month's theme was about composition, which was an extremely difficult subject to tackle! Composition takes a juggling act of all 8 Principals of art: balance, emphasis, harmony, variety, gradation, movement, rhythm, and proportion. As well as the 7 Elements of Art: Color, Value, Line, Texture, Shape, Form, and Space. While I have the elements down (at least in my own opinion) I still struggle with the principals. This was a great challenge for everyone to improve on their skills, no matter how new they are to 3d rendering. I especially thought that Sunday Drive and There and Back again showed some great aspects of proportion that gave depth to their works. The yellow lizard creature standing in the flood has some great colors that clash and really grab your attention. I think the color values of this peice were done just right!
Wooow thanks! :-):-)
Congratulations to the other winners and the rest of the people in the contest
There were awesome renders .
Also thanks for tips and comments in the WIP it was very helpful.
Congratulations to all the winners and to DollyGirl! Lots of great work was posted and I loved how we could watch you guys go from start to end and hopefully you guys don't mind if we learn and maybe grab a few ideas from you.
Congratulations people. You are all one up on me. This is the contest I never could finish, I never felt like my stuff was good enough. You all did great and I enjoyed watching the images develop as you learned. Good luck to all this month, I will try to peek in and help if I can.
Please do!
Thanks Jaderail your help and comments are always welcome
You people are gonna make me blush :red: .
Jaderail, What makes you think your stuff is not so good? You have some very good Bruuna's. Lonnie
