Still trying to get the Olds to work in Daz. Can't get the textures to apply now. The tires are whacked too. I will give up on this one for a while.

    :ohh:

I didn't have a problem with it in Blender.

Just upgraded to Daz 4.7. Here's a few renders done with it. I could not find a place to click to change the background image though. It has always been just above the audio setting button in the edit menu. I could not find any way to change the image on the background viewport. Would love to know how.

ok...here's how you change the background image in Daz 4.7...

Instead of Edit > Backdrop > Image > Browse that you used to use, it is now
    Environment pane:
Set “Active Type” dropdown to Backdrop, then click the little triangle for the Background parameter, then select Browse.

Great looking render of the Ford truck. Is that a '56? If it is, I had an AMT scale model of it years ago. Spray painted it metallic blue - was one of my favorite models. :-)

Your welcome NEONnyc. Originally when I started this thread a few years ago, I had wanted folks to leave links to some cars. I have all along, a few others have also, but more would be good. Any free cars, and any high detailed cars. There are many listed if you want to go back through the first 3 sets of this thread. Each set is 100 pages long with lots of car links.

Thanks for coming to see us.

    :-)

Although my posting count doesn't reflect it, I've been dropping in here since the original thread and even posted car pix a few times. I am surely a "car guy" and appreciated all the earlier links as well. I believe all the car links I have were already posted, but I will certainly post anything new I might run across.

I don't remember where I got the background pic, but it just happened to be in my old gas station picture collection, yep that old SG is still a decent model!

playing around with Daz 4.7. Really takes a while for it to function. Maybe 4.6 or 4.5 is interfereing.

How could 4.5 or 4.6 be interfering if they were uninstalled? Can't run em side by side, when you install the newer, the older one is automatically uninstalled, why are you just getting to 4.7? We are already playing with 4.8!

It only uninstalls it if you use the installer. I got the zip file with the program and installed it manually. I still have 4.5, 4.6 and 3.0 installed and they still work fine.

4.8? where do you get it? I couldn't see it anywhere on the site. Only offers me 4.7.

Its a Public Beta, you can only install it using the DIM, and there are specific instructions on how.
