    I will say after the teething problems I am liking the easy drag and drop loading and the look of the galleries...nice work DAZ3D. I might get used the Chrome. ;)

    I like the new galleries. :-) Uploading only a few, but with full info. Took me a while to find the tags and categories. I had to laugh at how many people were unaware of the no nudity requirement. I won't be re-doing some of my more risque renders just for this gallery tho. Too bad we can't have filters like ArtZone did. Oh well. The new gallery does look nice. Everything seems to work for me.

    One thing I wish is that there was more room for a story on the side. Some of my renders have a back story. On DA, you can put that in, and it appears below the image.

    Also, it is easily possible for good art to get swept back before anyone has a chance to see and "like" it. Once the gallery gets to a decent size (and it may already be there), people aren't going to sort back more than a couple of pages unless they're looking for something specific. (I know I stopped paging through the galleries when I hit a multi-page block of a bunch of Zombie Pictures.)

    To my "knowledge" (so subject to change) it was a jury...there was going to be a panel judging the images...I believe in house staff at DAZ3D though they could change that to any panel really they choose. That said, I do not believe they will change their mind and go by the "liking" of images. But the reason you are not getting an answer is because I believe this is still somewhat under discussion. For a more definitive answer you'll probably have to wait till Monday.

    I actually put in quite a long backstory on a few of my pictures, as I tend to make quite a lot of pictures with stories to them :) here's the gallery if you want to see the length of the stories I put in there, I haven't tried longer ones yet but I'm quite certain I will do once I have gone through my renders and decided which ones should be up there :) - http://www.daz3d.com/gallery/#galleries/964/

    TOTALLY AGREE. And that encourages people to just flood the galleries with entries too. I still think limiting the gallery page to the LAST entry the person has posted, instead of ALL of the entries, would ensure a nicer variety gets shown on the main page instead of 30 zombie pictures in a row (with only slight variations from the previous render) Many of the shopping sites do that and it works extremely well.

    We have discussed this and are holding off for now. There is a balance to strike between allowing enough stuff on the front page to keep it fresh but not so much that there is no variety. The big thing though is we have to wait till after the initial flood of people putting up tons of images to see how it normalizes out and from there modify the logic for what is displayed. Its very easy to over correct in periods of initial surges which only comes to bite your ass later on.
