According to his site, he's active on twitter. https://twitter.com/Xurge3D I can't tell if it's a bot though.

Wow, it's been five years since I asked him for the chance to redownload my purchases because I'd changed my computer. Our conversation at that time was through the same email address listed on his website, and went pretty smoothly. Hope nothing is wrong-I always liked his work.

Did you try the alternative e-mail listed on the FAQ page?

He's around, but since he's stopped making stuff for new Genesis figures I haven't been buying.

  • AllenArtAllenArt Posts: 7,169

I used to buy his stuff all the time. If he would make stuff for a figure made in the last decade, I'd still be buying, but alas ;).

Not new but it's difficult to find.

I did "Add To Wishlist" to get the Login page and the Account page.

I lost my purchases from his site.  I put it on an unmarked flash drive and now I do not know where it is.

Silly question but couldn’t you just search your old emails and download from there?

Nah, I think it led you to an expired link or something like that.

Thank you! I'd given up asking for 2 zip files I must have deleted - even with my email proving I bought them. I'd never logged in to buy anything and didn't realise I could get them there. I've managed to download my missing ones again and complete my backups. Still have them all installed and those folders zipped up as an alternative backup.

I purchased 3 of Xurge 3D models...I can't get them to work properly in Daz3D on any of the models...is there someone or some tutorial that can show me how to get the clothing to work properly?  I also haven't been able to re download the purchased models.  I have sent two emails over the last 2 years with no response.

Far as i know, the sets are pretty much straight forward.  I suggest making a thread about it seeking support and hope you can get the guidance you need.

You need to load the very old Michael 4 or Victoria 4 models in Daz, then load the clothes and select "fit to" (...M4 or V4). If you have Wear Them All for Genesis 3, or RSSY V4 to G8, you can convert them forward to more modern characters pretty easily. If you only use Genesis 8 and are not experienced with converting clothes forward, you need to load Genesis, fit the Xurge3d clothes to them to trigger autofit, and then autofit again to Genesis 8. The results of the second method won't be impressive, especially if you haven't bought Ultra Templates or something else that would expand your autofit options, but it will work.

Some of his clothes use mtl files for the texture sets (which Daz can't read) rather than pz2, which it can. The good news is that all the clothes from one Xurge set usually are set up to fit on a single UVmap, which means that all you need to do is to select all the articles of clothing, go to the surfaces tab, select all the surfaces, and browse to the location of that outfit's textures, and apply the same texture to all pieces at once. (Then save out as a DS materials preset, of course).
