    Hi EmmaAndJordi :)

Am a really big fan of your art-products heart and own many of them, including your Face and Body morph products.  Use them alot out of all the morphing packages, especially the face one.

How would you compare the potential output of this product vs the face-morph product? I tried to understand what the range of morph options are for say the eyes.  Have a specific unique look that am after.   That look still eludes me a bit even after using your G8F face morphs and a few from other packages, such as rarestone etc.

This product looks easier and more fun to play with!  Unlike the other morph sliders were you have to think more about how each small morph contributes to the whole look.  But it's very powerful i find.  But if this product contains more morph options or different morph options to create more options would love to know this.  Guess am trying to figure out how this differs in terms of potential end result vs your existing excellent morphs package, besides the usage which is a big selling feature, and could be very helpful to many who don't want to grind away with loads of of facial sliders.

Thank you for your comments and appreciation Saxa! :)

LOL, should almost start an EJ appreciation thread for alot of your stuff.  Not kidding when I say my eyes light up when I see you two released something new again.  Just need time which there never seems to be enough of.

And then you can take our morphs or other morph packages that you have, and dial some to get it perfect.

That way it is easier to find a particular look, or may work also as a starting inspiration to get a face.

Thank you alot for explaining that.   Helps alot to understand how it would fit into my workflow.  Thnks :)

We should do a thread to say how much we thank you all and thanks a lot, your words mean a lot for us! :)

Now I can see its potential. Genesis 8 Female Basic with Simplicity set to 0 and various strength on different parts.

It is a powerfull package, especially if someone has no other morphs available.

thanks for this one. i was not moving to purchasing until I saw some extrem examples... most previously just didn't have enough difference for me to want to buy this product.
Hopefully more new characters will be shown here.

This tool looks great and I'm seriously considering it! How "random" are the default presets? For example, if I choose "Change Full Head Shape" on the base G8F, will it produce the exact same shape and features for anyone who uses it? Or is it random enough to avoid repetition?

Also, have you thought of making an add-on for it to create full head shapes for different ethnic groups? It would be great to create a Japanese face on the fly for example. Just a thought. smiley

Bought it and tested.  New Char on Left and baseG8F always on right (Left offset -10 and Right +10 so camera distortion is the same).
These really didn't take too long to make. Each one made from scratch from the base G8F.
LOL, if one wanted to make political caricature faces this would be really valuable and fun.
But found for female face structures (which can more easily be made coarse and non-feminine) this works quiet well and can be fun to come up with new possibilities, and can tweak from there as EmmaAndJordi wrote.
Pretty sure everyone knows when adding hair and makeup that these bases can really be transformed into something eye-catching, so won't bother making & posting a final version of each.

PS.  Oh did run into one minor issue?  Did not read any documentation,  Was that easy to use.  Just play and see diff.  The issue was for cranium.  The head & neck size range was really dramatic at times.  Just clicked through to another random morph.  But did have several instances.  If you ever do consider tweaking this product, one suggestion is a toggle to proportionally limit the head-size change more for more dramatic changes  but the other changes remain more dramatic?  If that's in the documentation, then sorry blush, just a time thing on my part.

Here are some of my tests. The left image is generic, unposed, unmorphed Genesis 8 Female base (with a character skin added for 'real world effect').  The very last image is the same EJ Script generated character but with Sahel Signature Smile added to show how an EJ Script generated figure looks with expressions.

I was hesitant to buy this, figuring it would take more twiddling than I have time for, but it was fun and very, very easy to use. You can get some pretty unique characters that DO NOT look like "Everyone Else's Sister" <LOL>.

I included a sample of when things get a little crazy to show that while it can happen, it is also easy to undo and try again - or just go with it!

Materials/makeup is "Al Drio" from some other site.
EJ Elsinore Hair with ChevyBaby25's Backlight shader for color.
    BOSS Promo Lighting System
    Iray, very, very short renders.

And same EJ Script random morph with Sahel Signature Smile applied.

If you use the Custom Generator, you will have more control than with the icons and depending on the settings, much more variety. That way, the faces produced can be very different in each run. It is possible that sometimes they look like another person face, but if you make your own setting, we doubt it will happen.

We thought in the ethnic groups, but for that we have a product:

    https://www.daz3d.com/ej-ethnic-beauties-for-genesis-8-female-s

The problem with doing a specific ethnic group is that not all the features may look fully belonging to the group and may look weird on others. It is better to use a specific product.

Although there is some ethnic facial features that sometimes appear in the Custom Generator. They may look good as in mixed ethnics, someone who is half Asian or like that.

These look very good faces! :)

If you reduce the Strength dials in the Cranium tab, you will see they become less dramatic. We set it to a range we thought is right, as in real people you see differences in the shape of the cranium and neck quite often, but with hair they are not so noticeable. The good part of this program is that you can tell it to make them more or less severe so it adjusts to your taste.
Also, if you don't like this or something and prefer the base shape, you can always Zero that part with the button for that. It is also useful when shaping other parts so they don't distract you.

Very good examples! And good work! We see you're getting it. You can see it's fast and easy, and if you feel some part is messed, just reset that part, and you don't have to loose the full face.

Another character created with the Generator.

On the left Genesis 8 Female Basic original materials, on the right Ayako All Maps applied to the character.

Looks great, Artini - especially the last photos you shared. How long did it take you to create it? I ask because I have other tools I bought off the Daz store that I get excited to use, but then eventually get overwhelmed by the options and just go back to mixing pre-purchased character morphs instead of creating my own.

Thanks. It did not took so long. This is just another version of the previous character.

The Generator can treat each part of the face separately, so I just look at that and keep clicking, until I have found something, I like.

So far it is the fastest way to create different faces.

On the left Genesis 8 Female Basic with original materials, on the right BD Bronte maps applied to the character.

Wow - I love the subtle changes! They really do have a more 'real' look to them. I think with all of the character maps I own, I could see myself getting a lot of use out of this. I think I'll check it out. Thanks again for your help!

This generator is amazing. The more I play with it, the more I like it.

I have purchased a lot of morphing packages in the past, but the number of included settings

were always overwhelming, so I have not used them that much.

This generator produce more like character presets from the included morphs

in such a way, that it is easy and fun to use.

I think, I have clicked just 4 times more in the Generator, and what a difference.

On the left the newest character, on the right - the previous one.

Both rendered with the default skin of Genesis 8 Female basic and Ichigo hair:

  • Thank you Artini and others for the promos. I was on the fence too because I couldn't grasp the diference.

    Added to cart.

BTW Any chance of a male version? Personally I'd love to add the same diversity to the dudes.

Yes. In this kind of products we do a female and a male version.

The only product we didn't do was with Alien Creator, which didn't had a male version because there was more variety in female clothing for them, and in an alien there was not much difference.

Looks like pretty nifty and powerfull tool. I'm unclear on the morphs generated though. As it's not a merchant resource is that also stating the morphs will work only with with the Face Generator installed? Or are the standalone and can be exported to say for use/further working on in Blender?

  • evacynevacyn Posts: 975

This is my first attempt. I started with base G8F and just played with the different settings for eyes, nose, mouth, ears and face. Added the maps for Alyx (https://www.daz3d.com/alyx-for-genesis-8-female) and used Divamakeup's outstanding Altern8 (https://www.daz3d.com/altern8--skin-shader-system-for-genesis-8). All-in-all it took me about 5 minutes to get the hang of the Easy Face Generator and then another 5 minutes getting a look I liked.

I love it - lots of fun and such a quick and easy way to create great characters. Great product EmmaAndJordi as usual! :)

This is a great tool! And fun! Reminds me of my role-playing days when I would make characters for entertainment. Couple of comments and questions.

I find the default settings are fairly subtle and it can be a while before a characters looks different. Lots of them end up looking like the base character's sister. Not a complain, merely an observration (and handy for when you DO want a relative!).

Does the randomizer randomize off of the base character or off of the base plust the current set of morphs? Also, does it use your face morph product under the covers? Just curious.

I've found that dropping the Simplicity settings while keeping the strength settings the same leads to higher variability but not completely wacky faces that often seem to occur with higher Strength. Unfortunately, every time I exit the script, the settings revert to the default. Is there any way to change the defaults persistently?

    Keep up the great work!

This is a product for render artists, not for content creators. It's not a merchant resource. The purpose of this tool is that a render artist makes their own faces and make a render with it, or whatever other work. Because of that, yes it needs the product installed. It's not a problem for the use of a render artist that is what is intented.

Sometimes when installing a new product, if Daz Studio was open, it doesn't work. You can close Daz Studio, install the product, and then open Daz Studio again. It should work without problems.
