Daz Studio 4.11 Iray doesn't work

Hi,
I try an empty scene in Iray view (photoreal mode), Daz Studio is an infinite "Preparing scene..." . I guess I need the latest Nvidia driver...
How can I download Daz Studio 4.10 ?

My Iray does not work either....
I updated my Nvidia drivers and everything works fine now :)
Well, I installed the latest driver, I hope it won't destroy my graphic card again.
Iray works with an empty scene.
it`s working with a new driver
I try to render a simple scene with 2 figures, the process stops after the 5th iteration.
Now the same scene makes Daz Studio 4.11 crash. I'm sure the nvidia driver is unstable for GeForce GTX 960.
I have a GTX 980 and updated to 418.81, based on a user comment.
Fixed my iray rendering non-rendering issue in DS 4.11.
edit: for clarity
I-Ray started working again for me after I updated to the latest drive. \o/
I wish I knew that this was the issue sooner <o>
DS updated to 4.11.0.383 today, and now Iray doesn't work anymore. The engine keeps preparing the scene indefinitely. If I try to render an empty scene, I just get the checkered surface as a result. I updated my Nvidia GTX 950M card, but that didn't help. Is there a fix for this on the way?
Same issue for me. Renders are either pitch black or checkered.
My render hung, but ok after I updated the nvidia drivers and installed latest windows updates. Hope it works for you too.
Turns out I had to download the drivers directly from NVIDIA. Updating drivers from the Control Panel didn't work for some reason.
Anyway, now thing work as they should.
I've also just downloaded the drivers directly from Nvidia (Game Ready Driver, version 430.86, for GeForce GTX950M - Studio Driver not available for that card), and these were indeed more recent than the ones obtained via the Control Panel. But this hasn't solved the problem. I still can't view in Iray, even less make a render.
I also had to do the manual install direct from nvidia. But it is working now. GTX970M.
In DS 4.11.0.383, I can view and render in Iray if only the CPU is checkmarked in the advanced render settings, not my Nvidia GeForce GTX950M GPU. When both are checkmarked, or when only the GPU is, Iray won't work at all. Once again, may I mention that no Studio Driver is available for the 950M, only the Game Ready Driver v26.21.14.3086 (or, if you prefer, version 430.86).
Always get the driver straight from Nvidia. Microsoft takes weeks to months to push out new drivers. I know a lot of people dislike Geforce experience but it will notify you when a new driver is available and can do the DL and install as well.
After installing Daz 4.11 and new Nvidia Studio drivers, Daz ignores my dual internal 1050Ti setup. It's 100% CPU no matter what setting I use in the advanced render tab. Blender uses the GPUs. Poser doesn't. Not sure what changed, but the extra long CPU-only render times in Daz were why I stopped doing renders on my Mac and bought a refurbished PC workstation. Nvidia's web site says the new Studio drivers are compatible with the 1050Ti, and Blender uses them, so why not Daz?
Is there any word from DAZ on this. Downloaded 4.11 this morning. Renders were all black or checkered if no lights in scene. Read this thread, got latest drivers. Now Daz will render but the viewport won't show any objects that are there.
Update: Viewport can be fixed by selecting Wireframe or Cartoon shaded or anything other than the current default .. .texture shaded. After that then the texture shaded works normally for me.
I mentioned this in the main 4.11 update, but so the information is here, and hopefully help find a pattern to the problem:
my laptop, Nvidia 960m, works with 4.11 just fine - in fact it is surprisingly fast.
However, my desktop, Nvidia M6000, does not show an iray preview no matter how long I wait with 4.11 - it is giving a black screen upon rendering as well.
I have updated the drivers and am attempting other suggestions - but nothing has worked so far.
Did you try switching the viewport display mode as mentioned in the previous post?
Also, do you have an embedded graphic card on your motherboard? I’ve seen threads about cases where DS wasn’t using the right card when there were more than one.
I had the checkerboard render. I updated my NVIDIA drivers today and everything was working until I turned the computer off and came back later. Now I'm back to the checkerboard render again. I sure thought I finally had it fixed. I'm sure it will get sorted out eventually but it is definitely a test of patience in the meantime.
Mine to. How [removed] to install the old version of the Studio 4.10.
If you didn't back up the installer fro 4.10 9and plug-ins) I'm afraid it isn't available. Have you tried getting an up-to-date driver direct from nVidia?
Have you made sure that Windows Update did not roll you back to an older driver when you restarted?
I can't update the dirver, becuase using the old nvidia hardware.
So you tell me that i bought all these packages and can't use them any more, only becuase somebody [removed] can't back to 4.10?
This s excelent work for lawsuit agains Daz
You should still be able to render with CPU. You could open a support ticket to ask about getting an older version.
Thank you. The NVIDIA drivers were updated after the last Windows update. I played around some more with it after that post and found that new scenes would render but saved scenes wouldn't. It was just some basic testing with primitives as well as a few Genesis 8 models. I'll play around more with it some tonight and see if I can duplicate yesterday's successes and failures.
I'm on a Mac running High Sierra - I have a NVIDIA GeForce GTX TITAN X running NVidia's Web Driver 387.10.10.10.40.105 - does any one know if this driver will support the 4.11 upgrade? The Nvidia Driver Manager says it's up to date but I also found a
Nvidia Web Driver - 387.10.10.10.40.128 here https://www.insanelymac.com/forum/topic/324195-nvidia-web-driver-updates-for-macos-high-sierra-update-may-15-2019/
But I'm hesitant to install it as it doesn't seem to come directly from Nvidia.
@bwise1701 Drivers prior to February 2019 (419 for Windows 10) doesn't work with Daz Studio 4.11, I think it should be the same thing about macOS.
The most stupid work in 4.11 - iray work in viewport, BUT NOT in render. And can't back to 4.10. Very,Very,Very "good" job daz with 4.11 ...
Again, NVidia doesn't seem to have a later driver for Mac than 387.10.10.10.40.105 - does anyone know about the 387.10.10.10.40.128 version I found? I did find an updated CUDA driver 418.163 and update to that.
Aha!! That may be my problem. I had been running Nvidia driver #347. When I updated it showed me #391 (yes directly from nvidia) - then Iray did not work. But I go back and I can find up to #430 (well above the minimum #419). Perhaps it needed to step-up in increments rather than jump the entire way. I will be downloading the 430 this evening and trying it ... and then let you know if it works or not. Thanks for the needed number ... it made me go back and look again!
