    What happens when you try? Is this using CPU or GPU? Check your Draw Settings pane - it's likely that the Viewport is using different settings, perhaps Interactive mode, from the render.

    Success! The key for my situation was updating my nvidia drivers twice in order to get to the newest update.

    Details:  1) I installed 4.11  2) iray had problem, forums said update nvidia drivers 3) updated directly from nvidia - they offered me #391 (was at #347) 4) iray still did not work 5) forums mentioned needing at least #419 6) went back to nvidia now offered #430 7) it works!!

    I can only assume that my drivers were so old that the jump to the newest drivers was too great and it required incremental upgrades.

    Ok, guess I wait 3 months more before I update to 4.11. My gut feeling said, DON'T. Let others beta test it.

    Now Daz Studio 4.10 and 4.11 are installed.

    4.11 is nice to create a scene, there are some improvements.

    4.10 for rendering.

    Do you understand that 4.11 was in Beta for a long time?
