Speaking of formal wear, does anybody have opinions on this tux? I intend to use it on G8 via auto-fit. It looks real good in the promos...

It's just OK. The shirt, pants and cumberbund are all one piece. The jacket and shoes are nice enough though. Give me a few and I'll do a test render for you.

Here you go, on the base G8M, minor pokethrough in the armpits, shoulders and shoes, could be fixed by changing the smooting to Generic and by hiding his feet. There is a bit of deformation on the toes of the shoes because they are so pointy, but I'd just use the shoes from Eldritch Seeker, they're much better anyways and have no autofit issues. The bowtie deforms when you turn the neck, which is unfortunate because it's actually pretty nice. The shirt/pants/cumberbund actually fits really well, and has no issues other than the usual autofit crotch crumpling, which can be fixed by upping the smoothing to 4 and Base Shape Matching instead of Generic.

    Wow, thank you very much!

Being a fan of everyday contemperary,

Shout out tp ih-kang for some good stuff.

The textures tend to be quite modest, but the models and rigging are top notch.

    https://www.daz3d.com/ih-kang

Thirded on IH-Kang! The clean models and UVs also make them really easy to customize with new fabric shaders. And (as I've noted before) most male clothing is pretty simple design wise; so the utility of it is in the ease that you can change the textures.

The My Guy outfit is amazing! Especially when you start to look at how the rigging and the buttons and everything are setup. Not to mention I think it has one of my favorite denim shaders ever.

Thanks so much for the nice words JonnyRay. I really tried to get the details as accurate as possible on those pieces. It helps to start with a wonderful model by Aave Nainen. Really dynamic render. I love it!

    I like the historical stuff.

some examples popular in the Daz store include ancient Egyptians, Greeks and Romans...

...and more through all the centuries and all the continents

A certain body hair set by Redz for G3M at a certain other site doesn't look bad on G2 or Genesis if you have G3M clones for those figures. I use them a lot ;). You can even get CC's Body Hair for G8M hair over to them if you convert them to G3 first.

My objective isnt to use Genesis and Genesis 2 models but rather to transfer their generation's product to G8M.  I am not lacking in body hairy products, except for Real Hairy (which is clearly the best one), and I see lots of people transfering it onto G8M successfully.

CC's Shave This does not look as detailed and natural compared to Real Hairy, in my humble opinion (no offense intended).  I wish Daz would just add Real Hairy back to the store.  It's basically starting to trigger me every time i see someone else use it and i cant buy it.

    Anything by Xurge3D

most autofits nicely to other generations  too

Luthbel comes in close second but it’s a bit more work auto fitting between generations on his stuff

Wholeheartedly agree about Basic Suit A for Genesis! It has tons of morphs. It fits G3M better than the suits for G2M & G3M. The shoulders can be morphed to look tailored. The folds and creases keep it from looking like SIMSwear, which unfortunately is not the case with some of his newer stuff. Those are some nice renders.

Suit coat length is part of the issue for me. It just doesn't look right if it's too short at the hips, which is one of the reasons I like Basic Suit A. Plus, as you say, it has a lot of useful morphs.

I agree, I can never have enough historial clothing, mainly because I do a lot of "historical fantasy" type themes and I kit-bash outfits like crazy. There's a conquistador outfit at Renderosity I want very much, and I also just picked up this Mycenean-era outfit for G3M at Rendo as well. Took it for a test drive:

I can finally use the Trojan Horse prop I bought ages ago! And Linday's Achilles HD morph too. :)

I wish the mesh and textures were more polished but it'll be a fun outfit to play with despite that little quibble. I want to rework this one as the composition is kinda off and I didn't manage to get the very long spear into the scene. I might as well try some retexturing too.

Xurge and Luthbel are very well represented in my M4 library.

My machine is old and dforce doesn't work with it -- and iray is painfully slow -- so for now I have to pass on a lot of newer content.

I'll agree about Real Hairy, although it's made for G2M, it still works well, but I'll use Oh My Body Hair for the chest and armpits.  As for hair in the nether regions, I don't like most of what's currently available (except for CC's naughty bits),  Laticis made some very good free ones for G3 that are available at DA - don't forget to change "preferred base" if you're using it on G8.  And, for something a little different, check out Exnem Body Hair over at Rendo - it's very short and fine body hair for women that works well on mens shoulders and backs and, could probably be used on younger males, too.

Great job, @mmalbert.  Kitbashing is often a must if you are trying for a specific look.  You did a great job with the Trojan horse and Mycenean soldier. I anticipate some walls being torn down to bring in the horse, someone getting shot in the heel/ankle, and a Trojan prince escaping on an epic journeyof his own.yes

I like combining Real Hairy and Oh! My Body Hair on the rare occasions I use them.

My favorite is https://www.daz3d.com/lashes-utilities-for-genesis-2-3-and-8 . Mostly because PAs forget that guys have long eyelashes too, especially if they're hairy guys. And this product has for G2M, G3M, and G8M too. On that same note, I appreciate the fibermesh eyelashes that ChangelingChick includes in her guys too because they're adjustable.
