    If anyone grabbed the Cinder add-on, by chance would you mind posting a quick render of her without the Kanade base loaded? I'm curious to see how she looks on her own, as well as mixed with other characters. :-)

    (And I'm excited to see what renders get made for the other characters in this set).

    That being said, with the prices creeping up lately on new Daz stuff, and the fact that 'only' $70 off with the orange banner is worse than previous deals, well I've been passing on a lot of pro bundles recently.  As others have noted, the recent DO sale was much more interesting.  That $70 off doesn't go very far either at 'regular' prices.  Compared to the Genesis 8 Pro character sales of the last two years versus this year, yeah not impressed.  The 'buy four addons' thing also really harshes my mellow when it comes to the recent Pro bundle sales.

    Kanade's bundle is not a bad bundle, but at $70+ with four prereq items for max discount before I even try to min-max the $70 off of related items, yeah, I may be passing on her for now, as I did on Sanjay, Kala, Jane, and a couple of others.  I have a lot of Genesis 8 characters already, so no hurry...

    Ahh well.  Maybe some related sale with a Kanade prereq will appear in the next couple of days to pique my interest...

    Kanade is cute and the promos are so much better than what has been done lately. But I just don't know.

    Kanade could work as a start for Marie, I suppose. However the hair looks exactly like Miku Hatsune's with how the tails fan out at the bottom, but could work for Marie, they are pretty similar after all. I have to admit that when I saw the promo pic of Kande Hair I thought of Marie, LOL. The major issue is that the Kanade Hair has no dforce of any kind. It could have been an instant buy for me if it had dforce. As it stands, LadyLittleFox has a twin tail hair that does have dforce, though it can get pretty messy. Long twin tails are serious pain to pose without dforce, though I do like to have the option of using rigged bones along with dforce. It is really important to have both.

    I already rigged and added dforce to Marie's hair anyway, which I have on my own Genesis 8 Marie Rose. But more options are always nice.

    I just searched "How to pronounce "Kanade"? and listened to an audio represenation.  I had all kinds of crazy variations running through my mind like "Kawn-uh-DEE", "Con-Aid" and lots more, but on the website for pronounciation in English, it was pronounced:

    "Conn - Ed" or 'Kawn-Ed"


    So, now I know.  :)

    It's a good bundle and the characters are nice, it's just too similar to things I already own. So I don't have any compaints or particular suggestions (beyond giving her a male counter part). If I was new to daz or gen 8 I'd probably pick her up and enjoy the probundle. I toyed with getting her base and a few add-ons for the 60% discount on select artist at the bottom of the promo page, but I'd be spending at least $90 and I'd just rather wait and spend that money on something else.

    I'm looking forward to pictures being posted in here using Kanade. I'd like to see how she blends with Aiko 8 and maybe mixing up their wardrobes. I think some of Charlotte's and Bridget's pro-bundle hair and clothes would look great on Kanade.

    I would love to see Fuseling mix and match morphs for Kanade, but I love her sets for every figure.

    It's more like Kah-nah-deh. Like Canada, but the end sound is de as in dead. The pronunciation changes if the name is from other cultures, but she's obviously intended to be Japanese, and that's how the Japanese name is pronounced.

    I was thinking about just getting the base figure at $22, but somehow wound up with a cart over $100. With Australian exchange rates, that was painful, but there have been so many great offerings I'd been waiting to sneak into a sale buy. I feel like over the past year or two there's been a marked rise in anime-centric products in really nice detail and quality.

    I like her! She's cute. Set her up as a magical girl and did a render of her. Tweeked her a bit with some morphs and some extra make-up, which, I must say, I really like the make-up she comes with. Not too crazy like you sometimes get with the base characters, and she has like 10,000 eye colors. 

    Also, first render one my new GPU, eeeeee!!!!!! (Broke the bank on a 2080)

    Here's a MALE version of Kanade 8 (Kanade 8 with the Genesis 8 Male clone dialed in). You will have to do an "Adjust Rigging to Shape" after you dial in the clone. 

    Also she's a bit "hippy", as you can see, so if you have any outer thigh morphs you'll want to dial them in. She looks better as a male if the outer thighs are reduced a bit:

    Here's a 50/50 mix of Kanade 8 and Aiko 8 - Kanade dialled in at 50%, Aiko dialled in at 50%

    Kanade's textures and makeup but with her skin's Duel Lobe Specular Reflectivity lowered to .12.

    I think I'll install the others since Divamakeup's got Kanade covered LOL.

    I got Emiko and ChrystalAnn as add-ons, aside from what comes in the Pro bundle.

    Usually don't work in anime/manga style, but I don't buy based on shape 90% of the time. The skin, the look - way more important. She's cute and her skin is cute, so I can work around the differences from my normal output.

    Here's a basic setup...
    100% Kanade, no dial spins at all. This is just default Kanade, no change to the surfaces.
    The main outfit is Ooh La La for V4, converted and dForced (I used EcVh0's dForce Master - Cloth Simulation to make it simple). I could have fit the hips better, but this was just a quickie.

    I find that this is a great outfit for dForce. The bottom skirt Surfaces are separate, which means that you can apply dForce selectively to the outfit across a few different areas. I leave everything above the belt as a Conforming outfit... and I only dForce the Skirt, the Underskirt, and the Petticoat.

    Hip fitting aside (totally my rush to render. I could have fit the thing better), this is one of my favorite things to dForce even if it's a V4-era outfit.
    (The spiked band on the thigh is from the Yami Kawaii outfit. I just had to add it.)

    I'm still on the fence on this one.  On the upside, I like the figure and think that the items in the pro bundle are ok.  Having been a user of Aiko 3 a long time ago, I think that Kanade is how I would have expected Aiko 8 to look, which is also a plus.  What is stopping me from buying though is that the pro bundle deals seem to be getting worse.  There doesn't seem to be any way to get the overall price down anymore.  I've got the cart loaded, but I need to think about this.
    However, a very nice and cute figure - and some great renders of her in this thread.

    Clary... from the Pro Bundle. She rendered fast... didn't feel heavy on the resources, which is good. I guess that's something I almost expect from Jessaii's figures - tight maps that work well for my setup and aren't overburdened with flaws & details. Makeup options are very cute and fit the kawaii theme of the Pro Bundle.
    Shape-wise, she's a little less teen-y kawaii than the base Kanade. Much more similar to the Aiko 8 shape, I think. Kanade 8 has her own quirky kind of shape, while Aiko 8 is stylized but closer to actual human. I'd put Clary more in that Aiko 8, more humanistic shape.

    No dial spinning here, and just the makeup changes for the face.

    Is she worth the Pro Bundle? It's a nice and cute skin, and I can imagine using the skin on realistic renders (which I do much more of). It's definitely a good skin for younger and cuter characters, in my opinion.
    The shape honestly has more of an Aiko 8 feel even if she's in the Kanade 8 bundle, but that's neither here nor there for me.

    I might get her when the deal becomes more of a bargain.  As it stands, I have a whole lot of similar characters and a whole lot of similar outfits and even a whole lot of similar hairs.  And even with a banner bonus, the extras aren't as much of an incentive as they have been.  I think she's cute.  I like these kinds of characters.  But, I'm about loaded up on them right now.  I mean, I've got Aiko, Karyssa, Jose, Bridgette, and Tika and Sakura and all of their incarnations, including those that make a very striking resemblance to Kanade.  Plus, I have a slew of PA characters that are also along these lines like from the Lolita Kimono bundle and Gothic Lolita bundle.

    I think maybe they should make an HD addon for her to give her a realistic option.  That might add some interest.

    I wish today's releases were tied to the Kanade 8.  I probably would have splurged as there were more things I liked today than yesterday.  But since they don't trigger a discount on the base?  I guess it is a no buy.  Alas!  I wait for future days.  :)

    Holy cow, a lot of PAs made characters for Kanade. I already bought 4 for her specifically (not including the 2 in the pro bundle) and would have grabbed a few more today if they'd been sale-linked to owning her. As it is, I'll have to wishlist, but it's really refreshing seeing a base so supported.

     

    ...I say, then immediately buy several more, because I can't resist P3D's additional shapes, and if I'm going to buy one, I might as well get more...

    Passing on this one.  It’s a cute figure but not anything I would use.  I don’t do anime type images all that often so Aiko 8 and Kenji (transferred to Genesis 8) fill that need for me.

    Yeah, I have been saying the same thing for awhile now. The price is creeping up. Pro 8 Bundles were "insta-buys" for me for awhile. Now as the price creeps up & the amount of freebies decreases, I'm a LOT more discriminating.

    Broadly speaking, the more radical-looking the base, the less likely the addon character looks like anything worthwhile without it. Zackyr, for instance, has a pudgy, weirdly proportioned face with a tiny nose if you leave off Ollie 8.

    I don't mean to single you or Aki out here, this also applies to the queries about Cinder, ChrystalAnne, etc.
