Unable to convert Kayless G3F Characters Jen, Gwennelli, etc. They don't show up when I load the directory and adding them as a single file gives "No Character Found" error. Please advise? Most characters do work! Are they not supported?

How do I find the log? Sorry I'm not at the pc. I will be in the morning.
Help->Troubleshooting->View Log File. You would need to copy and paste only the part of the log for when you are trying to add stuff that fails.

It can take awhile but it shouldn't take that long... unless you have a really, really slow computer? Every JCM needs to be converted, there can be a lot of them, and they can take awhile (this is on Daz Studio). However, followup character are probably using the same JCMs so they won't be converted again significantly reducing the conversion.

No, those are correct. The G8->G3 use RSG8G3CharacterConversionFunctions.dse and not RSCharacterConversionFunctions.dse.
Hello! I liked the product but ive been having problems with it. I Installed and used it once on a preset character of my own. And afterwards i havnt been able to load any gen8 models at all. When daz is reading the asset it removes object and clears scene, then it just stops responding. I probably screwed something up using the script for the first time but i cant seem to fix it on my own. Im using daz 4.12 on windows 10 64bit.

I actually have a very powerfull pc. 8 core Intel cpu 64gb ram running on Pro SSD.
I didn't mention this but after it was completed with the conversion it crashed Daz as well. The converted G8 character does seem to load ok though.
I'll see if the next one is faster. and report back.

Well, that definitely makes it even stranger. Do you have a huge number of G8F and G3F characters?

The crash is something that happens intermittently. I cannot figure out how to get rid of it. It never seems to affect the conversion, just when you close the dialog.

Yah I dont know. I force quit it after 50 minutes. I dont know why it was taking so much longer than the first attempt which was just over 30minutes. I dont know what it is about my runtime that throws these scripts for a loop. Too much custome nonsense I suppose.

You are showing all hidden morphs too? When you dial in the body morph, the arms go wavy and no other morphs engage? Then it is the body morph. You will have to try again. (You can turn off conversion of the JCMs and that speeds up stuff quite a bit).

Okay so I just got this product and it seems to convert from the neck down fairly well. But the face seems to remain the default Genesis 8. It seems to not transfer the G3 face shape at all. I've mainly tried with the scene converter but also tried once with the regular converter and every time, it just transferred the shape of the body but not the face. Is this normal? Does it have something to do with HD morphs being inaccessible or something?

The other two made her a much thinner character. But none affected the head. I went and attached pictures of the morph dials and directory results I saw. The unfortunately low resolution image I attached shows the G3 character on the left, the converted Genesis 8 in the middle, and an unmodified Genesis 8 on the right. And I attached the logfile. I think. It just said "Uploading..." and then I tried again so now there are two things that say "Uploading..."

Ok, the script is still finding those JCMs in the Genesis 8 Female. This line tells me that it has a lot of morphs before it looks for existing morphs:

If you Show Hidden Properties on G8F, and then type in FHMJazmine, it should show up. You need to search your HD again, FHMJazmine.dsf is somewhere.

So, tried the product. The conversion went well but the converted character has strange, wavy biceps. Ill post a pic tomorrow.

If you go to the morphs directory, (data/DAZ 3D/Genesis 8/Female/Morphs/VENDOR under the FIRST directory for Daz Studio Formats specified in the Content Directory Manager), is there a FHM morph there? What does the log say during conversion?
Hello... The character I was trying to convert was a modified version of Jazmine G3. I did search for a head morph and body morphs. I found no head morph. I found the directory that I think it was using. First I saw various files in there and I think I might have even seen a head morph. But there were files in there from two different characters I tried to convert. So I deleted the whole directory and started over. The last time I tried, once again it converted the body but not the head. There was one file created in the directory. I searched for the morphs and found nothing in the Shapes tab but I found four dials in the Parameters tab. There was one called Jazmine G3 G8, which was what I named the new character, and that one changed the body but not the head. The Jazmine Body HD Details dial added what I guess they call HD details. The other two made her a much thinner character. But none affected the head. I went and attached pictures of the morph dials and directory results I saw. The unfortunately low resolution image I attached shows the G3 character on the left, the converted Genesis 8 in the middle, and an unmodified Genesis 8 on the right. And I attached the logfile. I think. It just said "Uploading..." and then I tried again so now there are two things that say "Uploading..."

Ok, the script is still finding those JCMs in the Genesis 8 Female. This line tells me that it has a lot of morphs before it looks for existing morphs:

If you Show Hidden Properties on G8F, and then type in FHMJazmine, it should show up. You need to search your HD again, FHMJazmine.dsf is somewhere.
Sorry for my confusion, but what directory or files do I add to convert from G3F morphs to G8F morphs? I am trying to figure out how to use this and I am getting no where.
You want to find your My Daz 3D Library/People/Genesis 3 Female directory.
